She has been in the wedding business for a long time and she was able to give us recommendations on other things like flowers and DJs. And her price is unbeatable. For $3200 she decorated the entire restaurant (center stage, walls, ceilings), check in table, photo area, cake table, and chair covers. I am not really a guy that gets super excited about decorations, but I have to say that I was blown away when I stepped into our reception venue. Phuong Trinh did an amazing job with our drapings and our backdrop. Even though she was already booked for our weekend, she agreed to take care of these parts of our reception a few days prior to make sure that our day was special and taken care of. On top of that, she helped us with some of our tea ceremony supplies. Even beyond that, she still told us that if we needed anything, to let her know. First visit, the owner was very nice so I didn't bother to bargain anything. I booked 6 flower stands and 1 big flower stand for the unity candles. The total was $350 dollars. She also gave lots of great advice which I appreciated it. Then I found out that these items were sold on Amazon for a lot cheaper so I went into the store to ask her. Instead of being courteous and explaining to me the price discrepancy, she tore the receipt paper and gave me the deposit back (also, she talked very loudly as in screaming at me). Her mood changed 180 degrees which shocked me . I'm sorry but I work in the retail industry and I would never treat my customers like this. For this I'm giving her a 1 out of 5 stars. Helen & her team did our chair covers, table covers, up lighting, backdrops, and draping at Well Season for our reception. When planning my wedding, Helen at Phuong Trinh was by far one of my favorite vendors to work with. She met with me several times prior to the wedding and was so extremely flexible. When meeting with Helen, you could tell she was genuinely excited to decorate my venue. Helen kept in constant communication with me via text, which made me feel very comfortable with her. She was one of my vendors who I feel like connected with me personally versus just seeing me as a business transaction. Unfortunately, the venue owner of our ceremony/reception was extremely rude to Helen while we were doing our walk through two weeks prior to the wedding. Helen remained a true professional and the owner's attitude did not stress Helen out one bit. Our venue did not approve certain decorations that were going to be provided by Helen and we ended up not having space for a photo back drop for our guests. Our balance had already been paid in full, but Helen was kind enough to reimburse us with those charges. Helen did such an amazing job! Our venue was at an old and rustic winery, whose decorations are just that, old. She was able to transform our reception room but still keep the rustic feel we were going for. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Helen. She is easy to work with, understanding, very supportive, and appreciative. I am not sure why this business got such low ratings, but she is a 5 star in my book. We went with Phuong Trinh as our decorator for our wedding and never regretted it. Thao, the owner, was one our favorite vendor because she was so helpful and so sweet. It felt like we were working with a relative because she was so personable. From beginning to end, Thao took care of us. We went to her for decoration of the restaurant (draping, seat covers, cake table, and head able) and flowers for the bridal party. She did an amazing job and I highly recommend her to anyone that is having their wedding reception at an Asian restaurant and want to make it look modern and sophisticated. I don't understand the negative reviews on here for Phuong Trinh. They were one of two of my best vendors that I hired. We used them for our reception draping and our flowers. I came into Phuong Trinh after a recommendation from the reception restaurant. I really did not know what to expect since I know it's a vietnamese shop. I was greeted by the owner, Thao and she very quickly showed me samples of their work. She was so nice and sweet to us. We visited the shop many times prior to our wedding and each time, she was very nice. I know some places may get annoyed by this but she treated me the same as the first time I entered her shop. She was highly flexible because i know i changed up the style of drapings a lot and she was always okay with it. She also offered cake services that she contracts out from san jose. I think she knows it's not her best strength in this area and she recommended us a another company to do our cake. That is highly commendable because she wanted us to have a nice cake rather than a simple designed cake that she told us to go with another company. On the day of our wedding, our draping looked really nice. I loved every aspect of it. With her new table and cake drapings style, it looks so modern. She also ordered a runner in our lavender color for our guest check-in table. When i arrived, i noticed that the drapings was covering the tv that we needed for our slideshow. She came over within 10 minutes to have this fixed for us. It was probably our fault for not giving her the proper instructions. Our bouquets and boutonnieres looked really beautiful. I think I gave her some examples of what i wanted and didn't want. Of course, they are not a full-service florist so you cannot expect her to have every flower under the sun accessible to you. You have to keep an open mind and be flexible with the flowers. She does it at an affordable price. She even made 2 boutonnieres for my husband because she knew that it would not last during our long wedding day. She really went above and beyond for us. I don't want to make this review super long but this was only a portion of what she has done for us. I loved working with her and again, she is a such a nice and sweet person. I really got to know her on a personal level from the many trips that i visited her. She's been doing this for over 20 years. The lady at the front was really helpful in letting me know about their wedding services until I told her where my wedding was taking place. She said they travel all the way to Stockton to set up and take down table and chair covers, ceiling and wedding decorations but hurriedly said she wasn't available on the date of my wedding since she didn't understand where Citrus Heights is located (but they travel all the way to Stockton? Hmm) They have a variety of bridal gowns, bridesmaids and traditional vietnamese dresses to choose from with two dressing rooms to use. You have a choice to purchase or rent and the prices are reasonable. They have the general colors for table/chair covers to choose from and also have the satin colors. They have beautiful photos in their album of their work and asked me repeatedly if my wedding was going to be at the famous Happy Garden since it's popular venue for Vietnamese/Chinese weddings and they're just down the street from there. I may have to return and show her a map of where Citrus Heights is and see if they reconsider and the date somehow becomes available. They are located in the same shopping center as Pho King and Lollicup, the parking lot is small and always packed since they share the parking lot. read more

I was referred here by my very good friend "the bride" to get my bridesmaid dress altered. The mother is who I dealt with when I dropped my dress off. It was just for a simple 3 layer hem. And she was able to have the alteration completed in 1 week I just picked up my dress today...the customer service was definitely zero stars. I simply asked can they take in or add a bra for more support cause I think I lost a little weight, so it's a tad bit loose in the bust area. The daughter was RUDE! And they kept talking "about me" in their language. Really though. Upon further inspection my hem looked uneven and the thread was pulling. Whatever! Just give me my dress. Icing on the cake... the mother tried to charge me more than what she originally stated.... I said no and she still tried to give me less money. For Real though!! I recently have my wedding last month on 4/21/2018. I been planning my wedding for a year and decided to go with Phuong Trinh for decoration. I happy to say that it was the best decision! The owner name is Thao (I call her "Chi Thao" - roughly translate as "Older Sister Thao", and she is absolutely and amazing person. Her ability to decorate and adapt to your needs is amazing. My wedding theme was rustic, and the colors I used was rose gold, and "essence" (little bit only) of blue. On the day of the wedding, my wife was blown away by her work. She told me that night that she couldn't believe how beautifully everything turned out. Best of all, when I told her the cost for all the decor, this included: church, walls of venue, sign-in table, back-drop for photography, back-drop for sweet heart table, sweet heart table, and bridal table, my wife was even more shocked. This is the best place to go for Vietnamese wedding reception decor. Very reasonable prices and they did such a great job. Helen is very helpful and accommodating. I ended up getting a lot of stuff through her. I rented the Vietnamese tea ceremony boxes as well as the umbrellas and lanterns for the tea ceremony in the morning. I also got around 40-45 rose boutonnieres from her for less than half of what my florist was going to charge me. I also rented my bridesmaid's ao dai's from her. She has a bunch of different styles and varying sizes and will hem/bring in/bring out whatever is needed to fit the bridesmaid. I also used Helen for the decorations at Happy Garden restaurant through a referral from our lighting company and DJs (Behind the Scenes Sounds/Lite Sacramento). Helen did the wall drapery, ceiling drapery, cake table, head table, chair sashes, and photo reception area. She has a wide range and colors to choose from and lots of different styles to do her drapery. She has a binder and a slideshow and a TV showing all the styles. The draperies were all up the day before so I got a sneak peek when I went to the restaurant to drop off stuff. Everything was done by the time people arrived to finish other decoration.
