Unfortunately the dress she tried in store and ordered the same one didn't fit her after she had ordered a new one that was supposed to be the same size. This is the second time that we have went to this establishment Davis bridal on Arden Way is horrible. No one in their smiles. The first time we went was on the weekend, and I just assumed that everyone was overwhelmed. The second time we went on a weekday and the same thing no one in there is happy no one smiles. No one helps. No one helped the bride try on her dress. I wanted her to walk out both times but I've be just as bad as they are and ruin a first time brides experience. No bride should be spending that much money in your establishment and then paying for a bag to carry their wedding dress out. We had the absolute best experience with Stacey at David's Bridal! She was so kind, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire appointment. She never made my sister (the bride) feel rushed, even when she wanted to try on a few more dresses, and she really listened to what my sister wanted. Stacey pulled beautiful options that matched her style and stayed right within budget, which was such a relief. Zero stars! I stopped in the store today for about 5 to 10 minutes and no one at the desk stopped to greet me, acknowledge my presence or let alone make eye contact. That's basic Customer Service 101. They just continued on their banter, laughing and talking about their personal life. I walked all around the shop and finally one woman came from the back to greet me and offered to help but she was helping another customer at the time. I assume no one offered to assist because of my appearance . I was layered up with a large wool coat, workout pants and tennis shoes. perhaps they assumed I was not there to shop. First time walking here, I was helped by a gal and she was nice,I needed a simple dress, I picked out 1 dress to try on, needed a fitting room and bought the dress I specifically tried on. Easy right? Paid at the cashier, they gave me a date to pick it up. After a week, I called if I can actually exchange for a smaller size over the phone. Now time for pick up! I am excited, picked up my dress and went home. After a few days I tried it on and the zipper is not zipping smoothly where the corset/top connects to the skirt. This will be hard wedding time. So I called and ask for return policy and they said I can bring the receipt as long as its within 30 days with tags. Which I do have. It's raining, i drove all the way to Arden and the store is empty on a Thursday night. No one is in the front, 3 people are all in the cash register so I approached them. I told the lady sitting in the register that I need to make a return due to the zipper, handed my receipt and hoping for an easy transaction. No, this is a nightmare from hell just as expected from a franchise bridal store. I should have followed my gut and spent more somewhere else because the nightmare starts here. She looked at me with disgust like i interrupted their "break time" thats really what it felt like. She was showing me my receipt and said "i cant do anything with this receipt, wheres the one with the new size?" Like she's showing off to her girls who's boss. I did tell her that I did a transaction over the phone and then she told me "well. I can't do anything about this receipt." Staring at me. "Like I said, theres NOTHING I can do" continue to talk to me in a very condescending tone. I told her transaction was over the phone (again) She then proceeded to tell me that unless I can give her the exact date and time then she can't do anything. She stood there in front of me, looking at me while holding the receipt with her eyebrow, raised in disgust and wanted to kick me out of the store. I grabbed my phone and found the date and she told me well. It's gonna take me all day to find it and I told her that's fine because at this point she's really annoyed that I'm still there. I am not leaving. She told me that if it's already exchanged. I cannot make a return. Where is this in the receipt? That was not discussed earlier and all of a sudden now that I found a date there's a new policy that you are saying. At this point, another person came from the back so there's four of them in the register watching me while SHANNA continues to talk to me like I'm less than. I found the time on my phone. She told me she found it but at this point the tone got worst and she said she cannot do the return. She said she can ask alterations to change the zipper. NO, I do not want that, this is a new dress and I want to return it. My plan was to get a different dress and bring my bridesmaids here to get their dresses but at this point with this customer service that's not gonna happen. I had to ask her where it states that after there is an exchange, a customer cannot return when there is a defect in the merchandise? It is not on the receipt? She said it the policy. Another horrible tone from SHANNA. At this point I started recording because of her rudeness. I asked her why is she giving me such a negative tone when I am just asking. It stated when I walked in and interrupted their "break"? Or is it me? Then she said she is actually giving me a courtesy by letting me exchange it: How is it a courtesy when the zipper is broken? Davids Bridal, how? A courtesy for a defective wedding dress? I asked her again where is it in the policy, she read the receipt in front of my like a child, nothing, it is not there, she said "here" grabbed the disclosure in front of the register and read it to me loudly and policy is nowhere to be found. Again I asked Shanna, where the rudeness is coming from? i am still recording at this point to protect myself because there is 4 of them in the register. I do not deserve this tone. She said she is sick, not feeling well and not supposed to be there. Well that is not my fault. If you are not feeling, why are you projecting to me? there is so much energy to be negative and to be rude to customers. Looks like you DO have energy and it is not an excuse for absolutely disgusting behavior. She repeated that she IS giving me a courtesy by letting me exchange it. Ladies, if you are getting married, there are so many places in Sacramento that has excellent customer service, professional, and even if you're getting an elopement dress, you will be better going somewhere else than this place. Davids Bridal, this is not ok. I went into a David's Bridal for the first time today, and it was a horrible experience. I was shopping for a bridesmaid dress and had my swatch ready, with the color and fabric noted on it, that was given to me by the bride. Someone finally asked me if I needed help, and I showed her my swatch. She dismissively told me to try on anything I wanted to, and they could order almost anything in the color I was looking for. I spent the next two hours trying on dresses. A lot of their dresses were cheap and ill-fitting for the price, but I finally found one I liked, but I would need to order it in the color the bride requested. I took it back to the front, and it took 30 minutes for someone to come to the register and help me check out, despite many workers seeing me waiting there with my partner. Finally, when someone came to help me order it, she told me that they could not order that dress in the color I needed. She then looked up the color, fabric, and my size on the store computer. Why couldn't the first woman who helped me have done that instead of telling me to try on whatever I wanted? Turns out, they had NOTHING in my size for that color and fabric. I called the bride and found out that her other bridesmaids (in different parts of the country) also ran into similar issues with David's Bridal this weekend too. Where do I even start? I drove two hours from the Bay Area for dress shopping and had two appointments lined up--one at a budget-friendly boutique and another at David's Bridal. Being my first time shopping for a wedding dress, I had no idea what to expect. At the first location, my bridesmaids and I were overwhelmed in the worst way. We were left completely on our own with no guidance, and trying to figure out sizing and fit by ourselves was a struggle. I ended up trying on dresses two sizes too big because I didn't know how they were supposed to fit! While the prices were lower, the lack of help left me feeling dejected and frustrated. After lunch, we headed to David's Bridal--and WOW, what a difference! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel at ease. I was encouraged to browse the dresses while waiting for my stylist, Lou, who introduced herself shortly after. Lou was incredible--so warm and full of energy, exactly what I needed after a tiring drive and a disappointing first appointment. I showed Lou some pictures of the style I liked and shared my budget concerns (staying within my limit was so important to me!). She completely understood and got to work pulling dresses that fit my vision. From the very first dress she brought out, I felt an immediate difference. I actually felt like a bride! We went through about five or six dresses that fit beautifully, but none of them felt quite right. That's when Lou asked if she could pull something a little different--something she thought I'd look amazing in. I decided to trust her, and I'm SO glad I did because that dress ended up being THE ONE! I would have never chosen it on my own, but Lou's expertise and instinct were spot on. We ordered the dress, which took about 2-3 months to arrive (since it's made to order). When it finally came in, I went back to try it on, and guess what? Lou was there again! I was thrilled to see her and get her help one more time. She assisted me with everything, from putting on the dress to picking out shoes, veils, and accessories. Her advice was invaluable, and she went above and beyond both times I visited. I truly don't think I could've asked for a better wedding dress shopping experience. Lou made me feel special, heard, and cared for, and even the store manager, Shauna, was super helpful and kind. My whole experience at this Davids from start to finish wasn't the best. Picking out a wedding dress is stressful enough but having a styles not listen to what you want or don't want doesn't help either. I showed her the dress I fell in love with on my phone. First she told me to where I could find it on the floor and to pick out the size that will fit me. Didn't know the bride was suppose to find the dress and to know their size. When I was trying on THE DRESS she brought back other dresses that were way too small and completely not what I was looking for. I felt like she didn't understand what I was looking for nor cared. I purchase the orignal dress in the size I thought I was. After getting my dress I went to alteration. Be careful alterations could cost as much as the dress but worth going to David's bridal. They are getting the one star because it's a David's bridal dress they insure the dress if something goes wrong and need to replace the dress. Anyways during alteration we needed to take in, since we are taking it in the sleeves need to be adjusted, remove tool from the skirt, add the bustle and replace the breast cups. I was so excited when they replaced the breast cup as it made my chest less busey, which I didn't want to give anyone a heart attack. A month later I picked up the dress. The dress felt like it wasn't taken in. I kept tell the associate that it was very loose and she kept saying it wasn't. Also my boobs were out there and I didn't understand at the alteration appointment before my chest wasn't this bad. After being there for over 2 hours the associate let me know that "this is all we can do here and that I will need to go somewhere to get it fixed" Having my wedding a month away I panic. I bought every boob tape and bras to help with the problem. I even started looking at Amazon for a new dress. My fiancé told me to go to another David's bridal and maybe they can help LONG STORY SHORT, I went to Rosevilles David's bridal and Chao looked at my dress and had a solution in 5 mins. She also let me know that many of the alterations were not completed, taking in, selves being moved and tool being removed from the skirt. I couldn't imagine if I didn't go to another David's bridal, that they would've just had the money for alterstions that were not completed. read more

They prefer you to have an appointment to try on dresses. When I walked in there is a front desk. They asked me if I had an appointment and I said no. They said I was welcome to look at the dresses and take pictures of the ones I liked and when I'm done they will see if someone is available to assist me. I spent around 30 minutes looking around and not finding what I was looking for. I finally picked out a few that had potential. I went back to the front desk and she looked in her log and said there is an appointment opening in 30 minutes or I can schedule a time tomorrow. I took the 30 minutes and got a tea while I waited. I went back in 30 minutes and they were ready for me. I walked around with a gal and she grabbed a few and then I tried them on while another gal looked at my camera and pulled a few more. I tried on 5 dresses and still wasn't feeling it. The night before I looked at there website and found a few I liked. I didn't see it in the store. I showed the gal the picture and she said they had it in stock and she brought a similar one. The one from the website was my favorite on. It fit almost perfect, other then it was a bit long. When i went in for a bridesmaid dress, the staff member helping me measured me over a bulky sweater and jeans and told me to buy size 12. Didn't feel right, so i ordered 3 sizes of 2 different styles to make sure I found one that fit right in time for the wedding. When the dresses finally arrived (later than the provided estimate too, which was disappointing), 1 of the 2 styles were right, the second style was completely wrong. After trying them on I also ended up fitting the size 6 (which i expected). I am so glad i didn't listen to the staff member, if i did i would not have a dress in time for the wedding. When i went to return the dresses, i was then told there's a $10 restocking fee per dress. This was not communicated to me at any of my previous 4 visits, so it was a HUGE frustration. If I knew of the restocking fee, i would not have bought 2 different styles and would not have tried 3 sizes each. I would've made my best judgement and hoped for the best. Also with 1 of the styles being completely wrong, it was ridiculous that they wanted me to pay for restocking the wrong dress they delivered to me in store. I will NEVER come back to Davids Bridal again and am so disappointed with the level of service provided here. read more

Loved loved loved my experience at this David's bridal shop. My consultant, Ella, was very attentive and sweet! I loved working with her! She took such great care of me. We arrived very early to Sac, so we checked out the location. There was so many selections for wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses, flower girl dresses, and even wedding party dresses. They also have a lot of other items for like Bachelorette party sweatshirts, hats, and other accessories! We went back during our actual appointment time and Ella had helped me picked out options based on the details I explained and showed her photos. She was very helpful in adding a veil and shoes for the full look. At the end, if you decide on a dress, I was measured and Ella took down all the notes so that I can buy it when I'm ready. I am going to be a maid of honor and needed a dress, the bride lives in the bay area and i live in nevada city so we met half way at this store. We had an appointment which by the way our appointment was at 1:30 we did not get help until 2:15 I was able to find the dress i wanted, they took my measurements & told me i was good to go. Long story short i drove almost 2 hours to pick up my dress when i got home i tried it on and it was too small! I was frustrated & gave them a call back and they told me that could pay an additional fee for alterations?? how are they going to add more fabric to make it fit??? Then they told me i could return and get a bigger size... It was like the measurements they took were thrown out.. I told them i did not think it was fair for me to drive another 2 hours. I just had the worst experience ever and I would not recommend this store location to anyone. First of my first appointment to find a dress was sub par, this was my first time doing something like this but I knew it should have been a better experience. I found a dress so I didn't pay any mind. I was told my dress would be ready 9/6 and that I should upsize my dress because it would be easier to take it in then out. To make a long story short first they didn't tell me I needed to pick up my dress by a certain date or they were going to ship it to my house. Mind you this was only the 12 when I received this information. Then when I arrived to my alterations appointment I was blind sided and flabbergasted, not only was I expected to pay for the alterations but my dress cost 600 and they wanted 1000 for the alterations with was absurd and this was after a so called 10% discount. I ended up getting my money back for the dress and decided to take my business elsewhere. This is supposed to be one of the happiest times of my life and they made it horrible. If I had been told beforehand sure no problem I'm going to have to pay but this discussion was never had. Kiara was my consultant and the manager on duty was Shawna and neither of them mentioned this. Shawna wasn't the manager on duty this day and I called later to speak with her and she basically insinuated that I should have known that I had to pay for my dress to be altered and that I could decide at my alterations appointment to have a dress fixed that was one size too big per there recommendations or not pay and not get my dress. What since does that make? Aubra was the manager on duty and I asked for her managers information she handed me a piece of paper with a number, no name and it was only customer service. I hope and pray nobody has to go through this which is why I'm writing this. I now am starting to understand why David's bridal has filed for bankruptcy twice. PLEASE BEWARE read more

Daisy was the consultant who helped my daughter and me find the perfect wedding dress. Daisy went above and beyond by asking us all the right questions to determine what dress we were looking for depending on the venue, season, and time of day of the wedding. When my daughter found the dress she wanted to try on, it was not in her size so Daisy actually took the dress off of the mannequin, which was not the easiest thing to do! The dress fit almost perfectly and we made the purchase that day. I want to also recognize store manager, Kelly. She was extremely knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions and concerns. Katerina went over and beyond in helping me find the perfect dress . For example, she took my measurements , and asked me what style I was looking for . The first dress I thought was the one . She kept encouraging me to try others on ( within my price range ) . I found a few that o loved, and chose the last dress . I went back to David's Bridal to exchange my original dress for a new vision that I ended up being much happier with! This time Masie helped me and again she and the rest of the team helped me feel welcome and find my dress! Their exchange policy is very forgiving (in my opinion). You're able to exchange your in-store dress up to 60 days after purchase with receipt. If you exchange for something under what you originally paid you're able to go on a mini shopping spree to make up the difference (like what I did!) I found my dress, and all the accessories I needed for my big day, all thanks to Masie's patience with me! I'm leaving very happy and even more satisfied with my haul from David's Bridal! read more

I'll give them 2 stars because a few of the staff were nice when we first entered the store. The experience we had here searching for prom dresses wasn't a good one. We were given a fitting room and pulled our own dresses. NO ONE checked on us the entire time. They weren't even busy! So there's no excuses. There were at least 7-8 staff and maybe 3-4 customers. We ended up leaving because 1. Their selection was small and 2. No one was assisting us to even see if there were any other colors/options. Definitely go to the smaller boutiques and support those businesses. Very disappointed in this. Do better David's Bridal. read more
