    The options are plenty!!!

I really love tea! More than coffee. So, while visiting NYC, I wanted to find a good tea house where I can get some quality loose leaf tea. So glad I found Physical GraffiTea. It's an unassuming, below ground, hole in the wall with very limited seating. Their wall is stacked with at least 80 large tea canisters. From oolong to green tea, pu-er to mate, they have such a large variety. I prefer supporting a small, intimate spot like this than a Teavanna type of place. Plus, the staff was so friendly and knowledgeable about all the teas and gave pointers on steeping, etc. I got the rose black tea, dragon ball Jasmin, and a sleepy tea to help me sleep at night. So glad I came! I recommend for anyone who enjoys tea.

When it comes to tea vs. coffee, tea wins for me every time. And it's not that I don't enjoy the way that coffee tastes or smells (I think it's lovely too) but tea just hits differently for me. We're lucky that there are tea shops in the city, both the more mainstream ones like David's Tea or Harney and Sons but also the smaller local shops like this one! I had this bookmarked for a while and when I happened to be waiting in the area, it was the perfect opportunity to go. I definitely drink tea year round, but when it's cold, I definitely seek it out especially when idle. Upon stepping into the shop, you can see the shelves all lined with tea tins all neatly labeled and grouped by tea types. I glanced at the menu to see what they offered and felt like getting a tea latte (London fogs were the OG for me but matcha lattes and so many others are wildly popular now). I was in the mood to try something slightly different but still wanted something familiar. I talked to the person behind the counter to see if she had any recommendations and she let me smell a few potential options before deciding (also love when that's an option!). I ended up ordering a Cream Earl Grey Tea Latte. I was actually leaning towards the Lavender Earl Grey initially but she said it wouldn't be as good as a latte (though not sure if I agree). It was pleasant enough though I would probably order a different drink the next time around. Everyone who works there is really nice. When I was handed my drink, the lady said that I could add sweetener if I wanted to. After tasting it, I opted for adding some honey which made it better. Super cute small place to drop in with a friend or on your own! Would definitely love to come back if I'm in the area!

What a hidden gem! How have I not known about this tea wonderland until now! They have the most gorgeous and vast tea collections! It's like the museum of tea and you can find any traditional and innovative teas here! The inside is half underground, very intimate ambiance with walls and walls of teas! I was overwhelmed by the myriad of flavors to choose from! To choose just one from the gazzilion options is a tough decision! I Tried a serenitea which has no caffeine and is floral and calming. My friend got the minty flavor tea which is very refreshing! Would definitely come back to try their plethora of curated tea collections!

5/5 This place is quaint and has a lovey homely vibe. It's small but long and offers a wide selections of teas. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was also very pleasant and the counter staff all are versed in some tea knowledge. I even purchase a Pu'er tea, the Scottish toffee pu'er tea which helps in digestion and other neat things lol. It smells absolutely wonderful and tastes a tad biter but I like my tea natural. I also tried their lychee tea, which was a fav of mine because LYCHEE is amazing. Debate yourself. I am willing to take the 40 minute trip here to try their diverse tea selection and hope you will all think the same. As always thank you guys for the service and drinks. God bless!!!

This is a hole in the half underground wall, but inside is like a tea paradise. There is a large selection of tea. You can buy any of them froMthe wall that start with minimum 2oz order: they also will tell you how to brew your tea, how long it takes. They also offers fresh tea latte, you choose the kind or tea you want they brew in front of you (takes couple minutes) to make the latte for you. Completely fresh.

So 80s, since both Olivia Newton John's Physical, and Graffitea in general, were 80s things. I miss the 80s. When things were pretty dangerous and pretty awesome. This is a super cute little tea shop right on St Mark's in the heart of the lovely East Village which adds to the spectacular charm of this area in a very profound and adorable way. Definitely well worth your time, look out for it, it's down the steps - it's little Subterranean below street level, a little cubicle if you will, packed with all kinds of teadeliciousness for pretty decent prices considering the neighbourhood.

Super cute and affordable tea shop in east village with so many options! 10/10 would recommend visiting if you're in the area :)

Small shop about 4 tables, but extensive tea selection.

So small, 4 small tables inside, but the amount of room inside does not compare to the HUGE variety of teas they offer. Seriously a tea paradise, so much selection I can get lost just looking at the menu. Thank goodness, for the very sweet and patient lady serving the teas who did not run out of patience answering the many questions I threw at her. Highly recommend this spot for tea lovers or sick people needing an amazing cup of powerful and flavorful liquid elixir.

I ordered the iced peach tea, and it was really refreshing. They also have an amazing collection of loose tea and warm teas. While I don't drink tea often, I loved this place and would consider consuming tea on a consistent basis if I purchase a few blends.

Was taking a walk the other day and stopped by l to warm up. There I discovered the BEST matcha oat milk latte I've ever tasted. Not to mention the shop has lots of exotic and rare tea leaves for the connoisseurs out there, and have been featured on both nytimes and Vogue. Check them out!

The oysters were incredibly fresh, clean, briny, and perfectly served. Another standout that I'll definitely be ordering again. When you enter there is a bar you can sit at and two large high top tables next to it. As you walk further in there is a lounge with couches and various sizes tables. The whole space is surrounded by books! Heaven! We ordered a chai, matcha and a ginger cookie. Shout out to the woman taking my order for comping me my drink for my birthday! Everyone from the staff was friendly - I really enjoyed being there. The only thing I would say is someone should come by to check on the tables more often as I had to return other people's abandoned drinks. But you know what first world problems, am I right? Maybe they can have a sign or mention to customers to return their own cups before leaving. I sort of can't imagine why people don't... It is quite popular spot so you need to be very patient and strategic if you want to grab a table, as well as sprinkled with a little bit of luck. We unfortunately got there a little late. I went there at 3pm and hunted for a table and my friend got there by 330pm. By the time we ordered and started drinking our coffees - we were informed the lounge area will be closed at 4pm to prepare for the evening wine bar. Oh right this cafe turns into a wine bar in the evenings! How cool! At 4pm we thankfully grabbed one of the high tables - sharing it with another couple but it was large enough for the 4 of us. The lights dimmed and the atmosphere changed to more intimate. We unfortunately had to leave at 5pm, but I imagined picking up a James Baldwin book, ordering some white wine and enjoying both.... Mmm definitely next time. Maybe sometimes after work - sounds like a great wind down.

We tried the melon shaved ice $22 for the large which was a bit pricy but it was quite delicious. We were worried that the large might be too much for two people but honestly we were able to finish it without a problem. The melon pieces were sweet, the ice is milk based so it was creamy and flavorful on its own. We barely used the condensed milk that it came with (and we loved how they put it on the side for us instead). At the bottom of the shaved ice was cereal pieces and mochi which gave a nice different texture. We also tried their drinks specifically their blue lemonade and mango-ade which I thought was just ok. The highlight is definitely their shaved ice. Definitely go for the large as the small seemed much smaller and for double the price, you can get almost 2-3x more. For food, we ordered the royal chai, mango lassi, breakfast kathi-rito, and the condensed milk bun. The standouts were the royal chai and the breakfast kathi-rito. The royal chai was creamy, salty, perfect sweet, and silky. It had notes of cinnamon and saffron, paired with sea salt. I loved this drink. The breakfast kathi-rito was tasty. I loved the potatoes, cheese, egg, avocado, and whatever else was in it. The sauce on the side was delicious. Not exactly sure what it was but it was sweet with a kick. The mango lassi did not have enough mango flavor for me, I couldn't justify paying $10 for it. The condensed milk bun was good but it was similar to any other sweet bun in an asian bakery. The paneer sandwich was supposedly made with Amul butter, but any charming nostalgic aspect of this dish was removed by the dry layer of ghas-phus above the paneer bhurji.
