Spent two days looking for an in network provider for blue cross blue shield hmo.... paid a 50 dollar copay on the initial and then another on a follow up visit, and now I am g etting additional bills in the mail.. So the insurannce paid 17.38 cents and I am paying more than $202.62 for a check to see if I had a concussion? they do not listen to you and they do not care. i came in for a culture and they told me they were going to give me a pregnancy test. i said no, it's impossible that i am pregnant and i do not want a pregnancy test. they said they'd give me one. i said i did not consent and i cannot be pregnant and i don't want a pregnancy test. they gave me a pregnancy test with the sample i provided for my culture. already an egregious violation of my autonomy if you ask me, but what is even worse, is that i owed $25 of the $40 from that pregnancy test and they wasted no time sending my $25 bill to collections. i honestly can't understand what they were thinking. what a strange, petty clinic. i don't know why anyone would come here. read more

The actual clinic would be a solid 4 stars, other than a fairly long wait time with an appointment (waited about 35 minutes after the scheduled time) things were great. BUT. And yes I posted this on Google too because this is insane. Literally run from this medical group because their billing department is a disaster. I need a copy of a past invoice and apparently that's an impossible ask. I have emailed the clinic, emailed the billing department and spent over 6 hours on the phone (most of that on hold) over the past two days. I've worked in billing before, this request should take about 2 minutes, so I don't understand the issue and thus far no one has bothered to explain it to me either. Call Jefferson Park so that we can get an appt. After having issues with the website not loading, I call their office. After a fun wrestle with the bot, I finally get in touch with a receptionist. I ask how long is the wait. She replies "Oh, it's going to be a while because we're taking in all the people from Six Corners since they're closed." I hang up. Pissed. I came here today at lunch time for metal in my eye while I was grinding ductile iron. I had 2 hours free for them to wash out my eye so I could leave because I had to pick up my daughter. There is nothing urgent about this place at all. I sat in that room for 2 and 1/2 hours. They never saw me. There were no other patients. And as I was walking out to leave to go pick up my daughter one of the employees was coming back from Starbucks with drinks. Wow! I didn't need a kidney transplant. Just and I wash and maybe a pair of tweezers to pull out a little metal. What a complete f****** waste of time. I wish I could give this dump negative 20 stars Type of care - none. They endangered my life and then sent my bill to collections before the collections agency could even send my bill to the credit bureaus. This company is scum, a scam, and should be avoided at all costs. The care I received in their facility was good, but the corporation itself is evil. I was having a nearly anaphylactic allergic reaction, and instead of recommending me to an ER, where I would have been able to be treated, an untrained medical professional checked me in and wasted precious minutes, risking my life. This dangerous practice is their standard and the team gets chastised if they deviate from it. They are going to kill someone with this practice. You need a medical professional at the front desk to respond to emergencies. You are an urgent care. This is reprehensible. read more

Sure. I'm actually not as pleased as I thought. The PA was seemingly thorough but after I described my symptoms- persistent cough, days of fever and achiness, she told me it was viral and to wait it out with Tylenol and maybe go get some Mucinex or something else over the counter. My husband went in today with the exact same symptoms (I clearly gave him the virus) and saw the same provider. He left with THREE prescriptions to treat his cough and other symptoms. Why is it that female patients are treated so differently than men? Not pleased. read more

Absolutely nothing immediate about this location. Made a "reservation"/"appointment" at 10:30 or 11:00am, and I was told to show up at 1:40pm. I get there at 1:30, text here like it wants me to, wait in my car for an hour. Go in at 2:30pm and ask what the delay is, and they tell me 20ppl rolled. Well great, why not take 5 minutes, give a person a call and tell them your appt/reservation has been pushed back so I'm not sitting in my car for 2 hours. Because it took me going back in after another hour wait to get my vitals, then they put me in a room, and 30 minutes later I still haven't been seen. So I wasted 2 1/2 hours, after telling them I was short of breath, light headed, and dealing with headaches. Didn't matter one bit. Just a joke. read more

I went a few weeks ago and was extremely disappointed. They have a new parking lot rule in which you'll get a boot and pay $170. If you park outside the lines they'll charge you too. Completely unethical to take advantage of someone that is sick and coming to an urgent care for services or COVID care. Aside from the parking situation the service was not great. I preregistered online, had an appointment, yet had to wait longer. My appointment was at 2:00 pm and at 2:45 pm I called to ask how longer the wait would be. Yet I was told it would be another 45 minutes. Finally I was called at 3:33 pm and told I could now come in. However by then I had left and went to Advocate Immediate Care were I was promptly given service. Extremely disappointed because I had been going to that location for over 3 years and had not dealt with this before. Usually the service was prompt, but after the extremely unpleasant experience I will be going to another center. Nor I will no longer be recommending my employees to visit for any work related injuries. read more

My 1st time here was really pleasant. However my 2nd time was not. I found the worker to be rude. She was on the work phone and sounded like she was having a great time. She didn't even acknowledge me and after a while was like "well I have a patient let me get off the phone" just to tell me it was no doctors in. She couldn't at least acknowledge me. Too bad one cannot give "ZERO" stars!! My spouse went to this Doc-In-The-Box location this past Sunday, as she was very I'll for 2&1/2 days. Upon being seen by the PA( physicians assistant), it was determined that she had Covid-19, and the ONLY thing the PA did for her was to write her a script for a cough medicine!! Forward to this Thursday: we called her MD, and upon hearing that this PA and her nurse did absolutely nothing, and as my wife was gravely I'll, her doctor ordered the Anti-Viral medication immediately!! Her doctor was , and is extremely pissed that they did not put my spouse on this medication immediately, as it is absolutely the needed protocol needed to treat someone in the vicious grasp of Covid-19!! Within 24 hours, my wife had responded exceedingly well to the Anti-Viral drugs; if this lazy PA had done what was called for, my wife ( and I ) would not have suffered for 5 more days, as she was about to go to the hospital , as it was very evident that she had gotten horribly worse due to the lack of proper care at this Physicians Immediate Care facility!! So, beware, if you are very I'll, do NOT trust the staff at this location, as it seems very possible that they are just "calling it in"!! I have come here for years and never had a problem. My last visit was absurd however. Brought my son in for a rash. I thought it was chicken pox. It was 20 minutes until close, and I get that they want to go home. As soon as we walk I'm I ask the woman at the desk if the take the Care Credit Card. She says if it had a Visa or Mastercard logo, or one of those big names they do. Okay cool. So now I have made sure I can afford this visit. We go in to the room and the doctor says "okay let's get this done fast" and starts poking at my son before the nurse even asked the preliminary questions. I get it's late and you want to go home, but those questions are asked for a reason. Additionally, you are a doctor and this is a sick child. It's not like your at a checkout line. We are paying the same as any customer earlier in the day and he deserves the same care snd service. They also took his temp and such at the end of the visit. It was literally a last minute thought before they walked out of the room. The rush to get out completley outweighed patient care. The doctor herself is awful. Her name is Erin Doboer and she literally could not be more rude. The condescending tone she took with me was completely unacceptable. When I said I think he has chicken pox she blatantly said "what do you want me to do about it?". I was awe struck. She clearly could see that on my face because she then said theres nothing to do with chicken pox. Yeah I understand that. I've had them and dealt with other kids who has them. But it's still important to get a diagnosis and make sure it is not something else. She didnt even bother to give us some ideas of what the rash could be. She acted like we should just ignore it. This place would do well to get rid of her. She is so rude, so condescending, and offers no acceptable patient care. So I get out to the lobby to find out they dont take the credit card, that I went out of my way to make sure they accepted before even checking him in to be seen. So I tell the woman that and she insists she said they could try the card. No. She very clearly told me if it has one of the big credit card company logos they would accept it. We would not have stayed other wise. Had she told me they could try I would have insisted she find out because I have been in a pickle with that card previously which is why I went out of my way to ask. So I ask for a payment plan, since it's her mistake that put me in that situation. And she says no they dont do those. This place is a joke. I've opened a case with the company about the service and care, or lack there of, that we received. read more

This location is a bit disorganized. The receptionist was not aware I pre-registered, so I almost had to wait longer to fill out the information again. She was also not aware of the prices and there was confusion about how much they were going to charge me for the services. I provided proof (receipt) of the cost for the exact same services from this location showing a lower cost and they still chose to charge me more. I made a reservation for a specific time and was not seen until over an hour later. However, both the medical assistant and the doctor that I spoke with were nice, easy to work with, and quick with the services. I'm sure some in-depth training for the front desk crew could be beneficial to help things run smoother and make sure everyone is on the same page. read more

Nobody wants a sick kid. Scratch that....Nobody wants a sick kid on a holiday weekend in a city that is away from home. It was thanksgiving weekend and my daughter was not feeling good. We were away from home (meaning we were away from our pediatrician) and I had no idea where to go! Enter Physicians Immediate Care. I made a "zip" appointment online so I did not have to wait among all the other sickies and headed over. When I arrived it was 5:10. I noticed a sign on the door that due to the holiday weekend they were closing at 5pm. CRAP! Luckily the people here are very nice. The door was still open and since I had made an appointment online they told me that they were waiting for me and the Dr stayed a few extra minutes just in case I showed up. We were immediately taken back to the exam room and the Dr followed quickly behind. The office was extremely clean and even though the nurses and Dr's were staying past closing on a holiday weekend everyone was very friendly. My daughter was quickly diagnosed and we were sent on our way with a prescription and instructions. The next day (ps...it was a Saturday) we got a follow up call to see how my daughter was doing. I don't even get that from my regular Dr! Having a sick kid is no fun...but its good to know that places like this exist when you need them! read more

Awesome Place! I had to bring my 2 year old there because it was a Saturday and his regular doctor's office isn't open. The $50 copay from my insurance was way better than the $125 to go to the Emergency Department. The employees were all very nice and it was very clean in the waiting area and the exam room. They even had fish wall paper to make it nicer for kids. The doctor we saw, Dr. Jack Enter, was nice and thorough. We were in and out very fast and only waited maybe 15 minutes total. My only complaint (which is very minor) would be that the CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) measured my boy's height and weight with all his clothes and boots on. This made him six pounds heavier and an inch taller (it was February and very cold = lots of layers). Of course we were there for flu/bronchitis so this really didn't matter. I would definitely go again if need be. read more

The facility is clean, the check in process smooth and interaction with nurse and physician were excellent. They both did a good job of understanding my symptoms and an even better job of explaining diagnosis and the prescribed treatment. Highly recommend for immediate care. My husband was having a bad reaction to an antibiotic, and we were concerned (after reading the stories of other people on the same medication who experienced similar symptoms) that it might be C.Diff. The wait time was quick, the nurse who came in to write down what was going on and take his blood pressure was sweet and wonderful, but when Erin DeBoer the PA came in, the experienced turned very ugly. Her condescending attitude, astonishing arrogance, and flippant remarks were much too much. My husband was sitting up on the bed, and I was in the chair off to the side. Erin DeBoer walked in, busy looking down at her phone, then before even saying hello or bothering to introduce herself, she gave me a quick glance and asked in a rude tone, 'Who's THIS?' No smile or warmth to this person AT ALL. After telling her that I was the wife, we told her that my husband was given Clindamycin Hcl, and from the first day has had stomach cramps and diarrhea for going on a full week, with pains in his stomach that wake him up at night, even AFTER stopping the prescription four days ago, and despite eating rice, bananas and crackers. She told us that's normal with this drug, even after stopping. I then asked her how long we should expect this to last, and she rudely commented that she didn't have a crystal ball, and said ALL antibiotics cause diarrhea. My husband and I told her that we both remember taking antibiotics many times in the past without EVER experiencing anything like this, before. She didn't sound very convincing, didn't explain things well, and what she said just didn't feel right or seem to make sense or match our personal experiences in life. She had such an attitude that my dislike and distrust must have been apparent in my face, because she asked me, again very rudely with no patience and an attitude, "Why are you looking at me like I have ten heads?" I told her that what she said didn't match what I read before we came to the office. She then became ridiculously condescending, announcing that she was a 'PA' with 'three degrees,' as though that should be an end to my questioning. Whenever people in the medical field act like know-it-alls, I ask them about Levaquin, to see what they say. Unfortunately, only the more concerned and knowledgable will be aware of the truly devastating effects and irreversible damage that it can cause. While talking about other antibiotics, I told her that Levaquin disabled me 13 years ago. She asked me how. I told her it made me feel as though I was a 100 years old with chronic pain. She responded, 'Levaquin doesn't do that,' (oh yes it does - look it up!) I told her, 'Yes, it does.' When I said that, she abruptly lost interest, dismissed me with a wave of her hand, and turned her face away from me and toward my husband as though I had just ceased to exist or matter. But it also confirmed my suspicion that she doesn't know half of what she thinks she does. In the end, we asked for someone else, and Dr Jack came to the rescue. He walked in nice and friendly, smiling, sat down and explained everything in a way that made perfect sense. He answered every question, he offered practical advice, he was down to earth, made us laugh, was so genuine and comforting. After talking with Dr. Jack, we were able to leave with peace of mind. But honestly, those few minutes spent with someone who feels it's necessary to proclaim how many degrees she has, and acted like a snotty know-it-all who had not one iota of genuine human warmth or compassion...it was such an ugly experience, that we're both STILL feeling it, hours later. That 'yuk' feeling that you just can't seem to wash off after encountering someone who really rubbed you the wrong way. If she's the same Erin DoBoer, PA who worked in Arizona, she has another bad review regarding her attitude on the 'healthgrades' website, as well. read more

I did a quick Google search and identified this location as one of the highest rated urgent care centers in the city. I headed right over at approximately 4:10 PM Eastern standard time and I was being seen by 430 Eastern standard time. The nurse practitioner Jessica was simply amazing and so was the entire staff. On 1st of February 23 I had a procedure done on the lower left side of my back and I'll tell you the procedure went well the next day my back felt like a brand new back that of an 18 year old, I am very pleased with six corners / bone and joint. read more

I dropped in last month on my way home from work when my throat started hurting and my kids were just getting over strep. The check-in process was easy and friendly. The nurse was great! She has an awesome sense of humor and was a pro at the strep test (even though I was not). The results came back quickly (positive - ugh), the doctor checked me out and gave me directions on an antibiotic. I didn't really want to hang out at the pharmacy so I was able to buy the antibiotics from them! All in all, exactly what I wanted from an urgent care center! Place is awesome.. called them early Saturday morning, made an appointment within the hour, helped me out with my paper work, waited about 15 mins, saw the nurse, she was cool as f*ck, saw the doctor and I was done.. Staff is friendly, helpful and quick.. I was in and out within 30 mins or so.. I would highly recommend this clinic/office.. plenty of parking, public transportation will drop you off about 500 ft. So bad. They won't even give you a PCR test unless you fill out a bunch of forms, and they won't give you paper forms to fill out manually. They won't accept a picture of your insurance card, either. It must be mailed. If you don't have insurance, I guess you're hosed. They have a huge sign that says "Be Kind" to their staff, which is a red flag that their staff is gonna make you jump through 10,000 hoops before you can have a simple test. Health care in the U.S. is not about making people well, and this place is the poster child for our broken health care system. read more

The staff is very friendly and helpful, but learn from my mistake-- if you are there close to closing time, get a paper copy of your prescription and verify the hours of your preferred pharmacy. The staff will blithely "call in" (i.e. attempt to electronically transmit) your prescription to a closed pharmacy, then send you on your way, lock the doors, turn off the lights, and stop answering the phones... leaving you with a diagnosis and no means to get treatment until the clinic and pharmacy open in the morning. So, when they say they've "called in" your prescription, don't assume that means they've spoken to an actual pharmacist at a pharmacy that is open for business. Other than that little hiccup, this place is very good-- very caring staff. read more

The PA that I saw had really crappy bedside manner. Taller blonde woman with short hair, can't remember her name. I went in because I've had respiratory symptoms for over a month (congestion, cough, sore throat, green snot, pain in my teeth and jaws from my sinuses, etc.). I told her my symptoms when she asked, and when I listed green snot, she snapped, "Color of mucus doesn't matter." I'm sure what she MEANT to say was, "Color of muscus doesn't impact our determination about whether this is a viral or bacterial infection," but unfortunately, that's not what came out of her mouth. She offered to give me Sudafed, which I then snapped, "Has been doing nothing. For a month," and then offered a prescription strength nasal spray for runny nose. Which I don't have; I have congestion. (Listening: item one on the Good Bedside Manner guide). I let her know again that these symptoms have persisted for a month and that I'd be traveling to NYC in a few days, and I really just wanted to do a course of antibiotic to be safe. Her words: "I'll give it to you if you want, but most sinusitis is viral. Even if you feel better in 3-4 days, it's probably just the virus concluding. It's not uncommon for a virus to take 4-6 weeks to run its course." I stared at her. I said very slowly, maintaining eye contact (to see if she might listen this time?) "I have... NEVER... had a cold for a MONTH." No change in demeanor or pace. She just kept right on talking about how unlikely it is for my sinusitis (so impressed she knows the clinical term! For a THIRD TIME!) is probably viral and that the antibiotic will do nothing. I stared at her again. "Yes, I want the antibiotic." Two hours after the first dose of antibiotic my sinuses hurt less. Three hours after the second dose I blew a ton of green sludge out of my face that's been hanging there FOR A MONTH. After the third dose my congestion is nearly gone and all my snot is running clear. This isn't 3-4 days later; this is after 36 hours of medicine. So I just want to say this: I GET that antibiotics are overused and overprescribed, and I GET that causes bacterial and personal antibiotic resistance. But two things: 1) Ask me how many times I've been on antibiotics in the last five years. TWO. Did she ask that? Nope. 2) A GOOGLE SEARCH told me that pain in my teeth and duration of illness make it somewhat likely I'm part of the 2% of cases that are bacterial sinusitis (hey look! me, a lowly laywoman, can learn the clinical term, too!). Lesson: listen better, lady. I'm very impressed by your medical training; I know it's a lot of work. I'm less impressed that after all that work, you don't have time to USE YOUR TRAINING. Talk less, slow down, ask better questions, listen more. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. I had a 5:10 appointment for covid test. I was told to wait in my car and wait for a phone call. Received the phone call at 5:10 and then I was told to wait for another phone call in order to go in for my test. I waited 59 minutes. I called to get an update no one picked up. I work in Healthcare, I understand things happen. However, an update or even an apology for the wait would have been greatly appreciated. I will NOT be coming back to this location.
