Yes you may have to wait a little bit if you're a walk in, but you can also go online and book a same day or next day appointment. (Can't do that with my doctor). Staff have always treated me kindly and with respect. Have chronic bronchitis and when I go in they know exactly how to treat me now and get my cough under control. Have seen Doc. I made an appointment for 2:00 today. I arrived at 2:00 and was taken back at 2:25. By 3:00 I still had not been seen. I asked how much longer it would be and was told they only had one provider and that the wait times were running over 3 hours. I told them I understood that but I had an appointment and that the receptionist was not telling people that there was a three-hour wait. If I was told that I would have rescheduled. I told them I had to leave as I had another appointment at 4:00. As I left the receptionist said, "You're leaving." I said yes I didn't know the wait was over 3 hours. The waiting room all seemed surprised. Obviously, they were also unaware. Also, the monitor that shows the wait times in the waiting room was mysteriously not working. I have been to this facility twice now. Both times I was impressed by the ease of booking an appointment, the registration process and the care I've received. The staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Both times, I needed a COVID-19 test. The second visit also ruled out Covid but they diagnosed pneumonia after exam and chest X-ray. It took just over an hour for everything. They sent a follow up text asking how I was doing and to call them directly if I was not doing better. My primary had told me to go emergency department because they do not have Covid testing at office. By going to Physicians Immediate Care, I saved time, money and the aggravation of sitting for hours in ER. I highly recommend them. read more

I set up an appointment a week in advance to get a work physical for a new job. Everything was clear and efficient, or at least I hoped. When I arrived for my appointment, I spoke with the receptionist, Sandra. First, she was a bit snappy and appeared to be having a bad Monday. She didn't know I was there for an appointment and asked me multiple questions, such as if I'd been a patient before, 3-4 times within minutes. In addition to Sandra not knowing exactly what she was doing, she was rude and was arguing with me about employment specific forms. She tried to appear knowledgeable about my industry and kept insisting she knew better than me. To top it off, I'd made it clear that I was paying out of pocket and she still tried to make me fill out forms for insurance. She doesn't at all know what she is doing. The actual medical screening wasn't too bad, but had to wait 45 minutes for the doctor to pop in. Understaffed much? I wouldn't come back here again and don't recommend. read more

This review is for Brian Breckly (physician assistant). I initially saw a different PA for my work related injury and for my second follow up I met Brian. I was impressed with his bedside manners. He listens, shows empathy and was accomodating to my needs. I decided to follow him for my additional follow ups. He gets 5 stars and I would definately go back to him. There is alot of parking spaces in front but there is a section with metered parking. The staff told me they park there all the time without feeding the meter cause no one gets towed there. One star off for the front desk staff. I hear them gossip and complain to each other while I wait- I feel like they should be more profressional and be aware that patients can hear everything they say. read more

Horrid. Front desk employee named Angel extremely unprofessional and rude, but worse yet placed her own personal interests over the health of patients. While we were waiting, she spent time socializing with a male friend who was there, while ignoring patients, including a woman with a baby who could not walk, and a teenager in medical distress! Angel also was very rude to person who called, seeking directions. Angel flatly refused to provide a patient in medical distress access over a minor billing issue that turned out to be their fault - all while loudly and repeatedly announcing for all in waiting room to hear that the patient's account was in arrears ($96). HIIPA? Well it turned out they had imputed the wrong address so the bill was not received. We found this out after we left and went to a different location, where the staff took the time to investigate the issue. If we had not gone to other location, the lack of medical attention would have resulted in kidney failure! Angel's professionalism is terrible. My son had a high fever (103) and cloudy urine. I did a uti test strip at home that was positive for leukocytes, Took a screenshot to show them when I went in there. The PA insisted that boys don't get UTIs, and pushed for a Covid test, which I told him was going to be negative. And it was. Discharged him with the diagnosis of fever of unknown origin and told me to just treated with Motrin. Gave my kid cranberry juice and it cleared up on its own. A week later, they called to follow up and make sure that my son was taking his anabiotic. Because the culture that they ran was positive, and the record show that somebody called me. I let them know in no uncertain terms that no one called, and they were more concerned with pushing a fucking Covid test then treating my son for the problem that he had that I clearly showed them he had. And oh by the way, It was a UTI.The only reason I went there was because the one closer to us was already closed for the night. I wouldn't send a dog to that place. They're more concerned with fucking Covid tests than treating you for what you actually have read more

This place doesn't even deserve a star. The facility is nice but I must've had the worst immediate care ever. These physicians are not experienced for anything beyond a cold in my opinion. I required stitches on my thumb which I thought was no big deal and not only was I left with scarring and no sensation in my thumb- but I was totally ignored when I reached out about the matter. Even during the visit and thereafter- my questions were not appropriately answered and you could tell the physician lacked confidence in her abilities. I went here for the sake of time and it was a mistake after all. Health matters- don't put yourself in the hands of incompetence. This location is extremely unprofessional and the previous reviews prove this to be true. I was seen at this location and they did not even provide a full examination. Whoever is in charge here needs to have a serious conversation with one of the doctors, Dr. Steven Kordos. Unfortunately I went there today with my mother who has had multiple surgeries on her foot. Her foot recently has been extremely swollen and painful and her bone is pressing against the inside of her foot. There is no surgeon who is able to see her soon, so My mother came to the immediate care to get checked out and an x-ray. This disrespectful doctor wouldn't even looked at her foot, walked in the door saying " I'm not giving you drugs" and proceeded to call my mom dumb for even coming. I thought doctors become doctors to help patients not put them in tears and send them away when they are in excruciating pain. To see my mother in this much pain and for her to get sent out of the office who is the most heartbreaking thing I could've seen. I was treated quickly and respectfully at this location. I came in on a Sunday afternoon due to bowel issues. The front desk was very sweet. The doctor that I met was very attentive and listened to all of my concerns. I received the medication I requested because I've dealt with this bowel problem in the past. The doctor gave me some follow-up recommendations as well. Overall, I'm very happy with the care I received here and will definitely come back if I had ever another urgent issue. read more

I had an appointment for 8:30 am and I didn't realize it wasn't until the next day. The girl working the front desk was cold and inconsiderate making me feel bad for having the wrong day. I was coming in after I fell knowing that I broke a bone. I am not saying they should have taken me right away but they could have offered to help me. There was no consideration for my pain or wanting to help me or even having someone help me to my car. She was cold and uninterested in actually helping anyone that was in line. They need to really rethink whoever is at the front desk. Both times I had to come in she was extremely kind and I overheard her going above and beyond for another client. Quite a struggle here. I made an appointment online for 5pm, showed up at 4:40p, and never made it to a room until 5:45. There was nobody waiting before me, and nobody else came in after me. Not a single soul for the immediate care. Not even anyone walking out from the back area where they take you to a room. I finally was given my signed form at 6:15... The lady at the desk must not have a clue what she's doing because I was called up 4 additional times for various pieces of paperwork that could have been handed to me all at once. My final gripe with this place was the cost. This was the SECOND physical for a job I had here in the last 9 months. The first one cost me $30. This time it was $75.... that's a steep price for someone to take my height, weight, blood pressure, dictate back my medical history form that I wrote out in the waiting area, and sign a piece of paper.... seriously??? Five stars for initial care - six staples in my son's head (thank you, Hurricane Harbor water park). We were seen quickly and they were great to explain everything being done. Follow up took long enough that we had to leave and come back because we'd be late for something else. But another $40 co-pay was needed. Hmmmm. Now here for staple removal and we are an hour and a half in, no end in sight. Waiting room empty but us, ppl who came in after us were seen. I ask about it and they say, well they had appointments. WHAT? Why was it never mentioned we should/can make an appointment? I guess shame on me for not looking this up but figured immediate care meant all walk in. I had a second-degree burns on my right hand and needed an immediate care. This is my first time being at an Urgent care facility. I honestly had a very low expectation since I thought it would be somewhat similar to going to an emergency room(?). However, the staff in front desk was very welcoming and friendly. The whole experience, from start to finish was very comforting. The assistant and the doctor was very accommodating and knowledgeable. They both made me feel very comfortable. Most of all, making an appointment was super easy! I scheduled an appointment on-line that morning and was able to get in at 1:30 same day. Very convenient! read more

My regular doctor at Northwestern couldn't get me in last minute so I went here. Mistake. I only had cold symptoms but my work made me get tested for covid anyway. My appointment was at 11:30 and I didn't get in until 12:45. The lady who took me back didn't introduce herself and seemed annoyed that my work required a PCR test and not an antigen test. I was sat down, vitals taken and the tech walked out of the room while saying my results would be back, but never finished the sentence and shut the door. 20 minutes later another person walks into the room and doesn't introduce themself. She walks in and says my test is negative, doesn't ask about my symptoms and continues to tell me it's seasonal allergies (which I don't have). Looks at the back of my throat for legitimately one second and tells me to take an allergy pill daily. Went home, had a fever and diarrhea- so yeah must be allergies. I want to see this Parkridge location on Friday and was given a prescription for a cough suppressant. I was tested for the flu, strep throat and pneumonia. I tested negative for all things. I was given a prescription for Z pack. Two days later I was coughing harder to the point where my stomach and side hurt. I was sent a text on Sunday morning asking how my situation was and I called the number immediately ask for a different prescription. The person that they had the phone who answered me was named Sheila. ( when I called back she said her name was Sandra) She did not ask me if she could put me on hold to put me on hold twice on her first phone call. She said she could see my name was Caroline and asked me my last name. She then asked me my phone number. I then waited longer and she said she was going to get someone In the phone then disconnected. When I called her back she said she couldn't hear me when I told her the problem. I spoke directly in the phone and ask her can you hear me and she said yes. I then said to her why she Disconnected my call. She did not apologize she simply said "how can I help you?" I've then said to her I was in the park ridge location on Friday and I need to speak to someone about the medication they prescribed because it's not working. She then took my phone number and name. She was the most cold and Uncaring representative you would ever hope for. She did not acknowledge the fact that she disconnected my phone call and in addition she told me when I try to even raise my voice, which It was difficult, since I could barely speak without coughing, that if I was going to fight with her she was going to get off the phone. Whoever hired this woman is insane. She is the poorest representative of any healthcare system I've ever spoken to. She's like a robot they could care less about anybody she's talking to. So, Physicians immediate health care in Parkridge....Thanks for the text to make sure I'm OK but do a better job when someone calls in to say that they're not. Get people working for you that care and perhaps more people answering the phone since both time I called I was put on hold. The only reason I keep those two stars is because the experience of going to the place is not horrible. But I would say is that everybody there was very young and even when I asked for colace because they were prescribing a pain medication the nurse practitioner did not know what that was. That was very odd to me. I also was in my room for quite some time waiting for results. The assistant had to come back ia second time for the rapid strep test. If you were able to get into your physician who strongly recommend you go there first. Just called their corporate office and spoke to a nice woman in the southside of Chicago who gave me the direct phone number for Park Ridge. Called again to try and get the correct prescription and again spoke with the same woman with the same attitude. I was told when I called there and asked for a woman named Gisele but the person who answered was the same person and she would not let me speak to anyone else.. That's when I found out her name was Sandra when indeed she told me her name is Sheila the first time. She is horrible! The doctors and nurses are amazing. I had a personal issue that was quite embarrassing, but they made me feel comfortable every step of the way. HOWEVER, the receptionists need to learn how to answer the damn phone or set up a voicemail. I've called every hour on the hour to try and get test results and I can't get ahold of anyone. Yesterday I called and it was very clear that I was hung up on after listening to several rings. So bottom line, the service received from the doctors and nurses was excellent. I was seen quickly on a Friday night for my injured right foot. I was in and out within an hour fitted with a boot and crutches. Was called on Saturday with the results from my X-rays after they went through two reviews by two radiologists. Stopped by Sunday where I was given a copy of the radiology report and my xrays on CD. Chuck spent a good amount of time explaining how to move forward and the proper steps to help my broken foot heal. I came to this location to address my diabetic condition. I did not have to wait long to be seen, however I was told that I could not be prescribed medication without (blood) lab tests. And they do not do labs tests. They took my blood pressure and checked my glucose level, both of which I can do at home, and that was it. So I was out $125 with very little done. read more

This was my second time in this facility. The first time I walked in and the receptionist was honest and explained there would be a wait, which I expected. The second time I made an appointment. I showed up 15 minutes early, as requested. When I walked in the receptionist asked if I had an appointment, what my name was, if I had been there before and what the reason for my visit was. I answered all questioned, filled out the provided paperwork, and paid my co-pay. I sat patiently for about 50 minutes. I decided to ask how much longer I would need to wait. She stated that she hadn't even registered me yet and told me when I walked in that the wait was 1hr and 40 minutes. I explained that she never told me that. All she said was "this is an urgent care not a general physicians office. I explain the wait to everyone who walks in." She did not tell me about the wait. I'd been miserable for more than a week with serious sinus pain and persistent cough. I'd tried every home remedy I could and finally couldn't take the pain and lack of sleep anymore. Before selecting an immediate care provider, I called one in Niles and this one in Park Ridge. The one in Niles, which I went to a few years ago, had an almost two hour wait. Physicians Immediate Care was much shorter so I decided to go there. The only parts of the experience that were good were the check in and the short wait. When I arrived in the exam room, the nurse took my vitals and asked about any medications that I was on. She then wrote them on a post-it note and walked out of the room. I found that odd considering there was a computer in the room where one would expect private patient information to be entered. I have no idea what happened to that post-it note. After that, Dr. Shah came in for a quick exam. She told me I needed antibiotics, asked about allergies and asked which one I wanted. She specifically asked if I wanted the "strong one" a few times. Not being a medical professional, but knowing enough that "strong antibiotics" seem like something that should be saved for a more severe diagnosis than sinusitis, I opted for something else. In my previous experiences with sinus issues, doctors talked to me about other treatments: neti pot, nasal sprays, gargling, etc. Not this time, the only additional thing that was suggested was some Sudafed. I subsequently asked for a steroid nasal spray that I'd used in years past. I couldn't remember the exact name but said I could find it. Dr. Shah said she didn't need it because she could figure it out with the first couple letters. While I waited for the script, I found the exact name. Once I received the script, I saw that it wasn't the right spray. I told the nurse and even wrote it down for her. She said she'd tell the doc and have it changed because they'd already called it in to the pharmacy. Fast forward to my trip to the pharmacy, the script was not updated. I spent 30+ minutes in the drive thru line trying to get the right RX. (The one Dr. Shah called in was not covered by my insurance so it was important that it got switched to the one I requested.) All in all, not the experience I'd hoped for. However, if all you're looking for is a quick way to get antibiotics, you might be really satisfied. read more

I made an appointment at this location because they had the time I wanted compared to others in the area. arrived about 10 minutes prior to my appointment, checked in, and waited. According to the computer screen there was no one else in line in front of me, and 2 people being seen in treatment rooms in the back at the time I arrived. No one else checked in, or called back before me. From the time I checked in, it was an hour before the doctor came in to see me. This in my opinion is ridiculous. Seems to only be concerned about taking your money. Called in with a simple question: do you have an x-Ray machine that could diagnose gallstones? The rude lady initially straight up refused to answer, offering up an appointment and recommended that we come in and speak with a doctor. She explained that she could not provide any medical advice. I clarified that I was not seeking any specific advice over the phone, merely inquiring about their facilities and capabilities. Like most people, we were deciding between going to urgent care or the ER. The rude lady on the phone was only concerned about getting us to come in and said if we still needed to go to the ER, we could just go there afterwards. I had called other urgent care places and they were more transparent and friendlier. I was incredibly impressed with the staff and facilities! I travel every week Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas and sometimes home ( Saturday's mostly). I had to go to a doctor in Atlanta just 6 days ago where I was quickly diagnosed with Bronchitis, given a prescription of antibiotics and steroid pills. I flew to Chicago Sunday. Today was the last day of both prescription and yet I felt no better. I pulled up my insurance company's website and located this office. I was immediately greeted and checked in by a genuinely nice lady. Nearly as quickly as I gave her the rest of my paper work I was being called back by a nurse. Again, genuinely sweet! The doctor was the sane way. This time she prescribed a preventative inhaler ( bronchitis was increasing my asthma incidents) and more steroids. She took the time to explain she was doing this and was also so kind and genuine. The nurse came back in and not only did she explain the med to me she advised me how to find the pharmacy. I have not been to many doctors, especially not immediate care places where I left feeling so delighted. I've always felt like I was a mere cog or widget on their medical assembly line!
