I am really unhappy with this company. I have had a membership since may of last year but have not had the time to use it even once due to covid restrictions and work schedule. I was able to join online but they insist that I come in to the club personally to cancel my membership. On top of that they will continue to charge my account for 30 days from the time I cancel in writing including monthly dues and annual fees. This is complete crap service. They already got 14months of fees with no usage and want to charge me more. I will definitely not recommend this place to anyone I know. read more

I signed up for Physiq Gym, set an appointment for my free assessment. They talked me into a personal trainer, they did not let me see the contract or give me a copy of it. I canceled one appt, due to family issues. I messaged the trainer thru the app and heard nothing back fir awhile. Then got a call from a new trainer telling me mine quit and she would be my new trainer but was leaving town fir awhile. Never heard from her again. Called Keizer store who told they would not have one for a few weeks. I deleted the app because it was not helping me, I asked the Lancaster location for card to scan at check in they refused. I have since injured my knee due to no assistance from the workers or having a trainer. In my opinion if they cannot keep trainers they should not be offering them. I did request a corporate phone to resolve this but no one would give me one. In my opinion if they cannot keep trainers they should not offer the service. Also in my opinion the contract is voided if not honored. I will never go back to phsyiq and suggest others do not either. read more

Complete rip off!! Impossible to cancel during the shutdown, they only had an option to freeze account and not cancel but I was told that wasn't the case. This is false. When I went in to cancel (the very first day they were open) they didn't tell me that I was going to be charged a $60 annual fee even though I'm CANCELING. I called the manager to explain that I didn't sign up for a membership and that I haven't even been in there to use the membership. I called last Wednesday, told the manager was busy but he would have her call me back Thursday.. at the latest Friday. I said ok. I called back Monday with no call from the manager. I called back on Tuesday, told that she was busy and she would call me back soon.Finally got ahold of the manager on Wednesday. Amanda, the manager said there was nothing she could do and that I needed to see things from her view. She cancelled my membership and that is it. So I will have to take this up with my bank. It's funny because she said my signatures, address and billing were the same in each old account.. even though, I lived at a different place and haven't had the same bank account. I'm a newbie at this GYM. recently transplanted from California. Enjoying the GYM except for one pet peeve I have about gyms. Especially during busy hours. I see a lot of people HOGGING equipment sitting there on their phones, Taking selfies doing social media etc.....I cant use that equipment cause your sitting there on your Fing phone. The gym is for people who want to work out, not for people who want EVERYONE to know they are at the gym. Phones were not allowed on the floor at my last gym......and I never had a complaint. On a smaller not the locker room bathroom urinals' WREAK of nastiness ..come on man....drop a toilet stone in there or clean them more often.....just saying. read more

I like how clean it always feels and there is always many people working that can help with whatever. I also love the smoothie bar, recovery room and movie theatre. What would make this place perfect would be 1. A sauna and 2. Making the kids care hours longer and allow for more than 1 1/2 hours for the kids in the kids club. This gym has nice equipment but looses a lot of points in customer service. Nobody seems to know the answer to any questions without having to ask two or three other employees. When I went to use the tanning bed and hydro massage bed, I was pointed to the rooms and told I had ten minutes, no instruction or anything. The Hoist equupment is nice but thats about it. After a week of trying them out I decided to go back to my original gym and called to cancel my membership, which turned into another round of being passed around from person to person until I was told the manager was busy and you can only cancel your membership in person. Also their "policy" is they only cancel your membership after the next month's payment goes through. So after 7 days of trying this place out, I'm on the hook for two months. Don't fall for the "trial membership" the only trial is of your patience if you want to leave. read more

I called to cancel my membership. They would not let me do it unless I came in person. Which I felt they do just to discourage cancellation. Also, I had asked to discontinue childcare during my gym visits, which they never did. Shortly thereafter I switched banks and closed my account, thereby deactivating the card Physiq had on file. Their charges were denied, but they kept trying to charge the card even though I made it clear I wanted to cancel. Now they're sent my "Bill" to collections even though I asked to cancel and they can see I haven't been to their gym in six months+ I'd avoid dealing with these folks. Money is clearly their motivating factor, not taking care of their customers needs. read more

Easily the best gym I've ever been to. I pay 20/mo for the middle tier membership which comes with access to the gym, unlimited tanning and hydro messages. Dozens of cardio and workout machines. They have a theatre room where they play movies with about 20 treadmills, ellipticals and bikes. The staff members are always helpful and nice. The locker rooms are big and always clean with free lockers for day to day use. They have spin, Zumba and CrossFit-like classes. I've yet to try any of the classes but they look LIVE. 4 days outta the week the gym is open 24 hrs/day. I'd try to avoid going between 2-6 PM cuz the place is packed but I'd say in a couple more months, all the New Years resolutioners will have given up on there goals, making the place less crowded. My only knock on the place is the free weights area is small and somewhat congested but that's not enough for me to give Physiq Fitness anything less than 5 stars. Before Physiq came to Albany, I went to Fitness Experience and loved that gym but Physiq is way better than any other gym in town. I highly recommend this gym for anyone wanting to get in better shape. read more

Worst experience ever! Worst customer service as well. The owner only cares about money, and franchising, instead of the concerns of his customers. We joined as experienced lifters. We were extremely disappointed in the layout, grease all over the weights, which is a safety issue that no one cares about, and the daycare hours that changed. One week they had Friday night daycare, the next week they told us they cancelled it indefinitely for Friday night's. It's not that hard to have employees wipe the grease off the new weight plates, instead of making it dangerous for the actual lifters to handle. We kept hearing they had all these kinks to work out as a newly opened gym. I would accept that if there weren't 3 already opened in the Salem/Keizer area. Learn as you grow. Also, every employee had no clue as to how to do paperwork, gym information, or a feel for what was going on. When we went in to cancel the most experienced guy (in his own words) had no clue how to do it. My husband wrote a Facebook review and was responded with cussing, and putting him down from 3 employees of Physiq. I contacted the owner, and received no response. His review was an honest one, as this gym is NOT ideal for experienced lifters, and it's a nightmare for Powerlifters. We will never go back. It's ran by a pompous crowd! read more

Friendly outgoing fitness center with good prices for what they offer. Good classes for extra fitness levels. Even have a day care center. The only negatives could be the cinema area when the movie is over roles out the credits for 15 minutes that you have to watch and when the movie resets back to the launch page you have to find staff to play the movie again. The hydro beds are great when they are working which they have only one working. They could have less tanning beds and more hydro beds, people love the tanning beds but they do cause cancer. The staff breaks down like this which is a product of management: 50% know their job well and help new staff, 25% do well but don't fully understand their job, and the last 25% are either coming along, new, or plain lazy. Not off the mark much for a business. Very friendly and outgoing, but having said that they are a younger staff and being so interpersonal communication at times can be entitled with the attitude "okay I'll help you in a minute I'm busy" rather than treating the customer with "Hi how can I help you" all the time. Also more time you'll see staff chatting it up with one another like social hour when stuff needs to get done. read more
