California farm fresh cuisine with Italian influence. Located in the Hotel San Obispo, the restaurant is spacious, modern with a lot of natural lighting. We ordered the fig & prosciutto pizza and the wild mushroom pizza, and both were excellent. The toppings were definitely quintessentially California. Super fresh and flavorful. The crust were beautifully blistered with those perfect charred bubbles around the edges that give it texture and flavor without being overly burnt. The grilled artichoke was also outstanding.. Being so close to the artichoke capital of the world, it was a no brainer that we had to eat it. Steamed first and then finished on the grill, giving it a soft, tender texture with a light smoky char. The ambiance is very modern, clean, and bright with an open kitchen that adds energy to the space. Service was friendly and professional, though slightly uneven at times due to servers rotating shifts. Happy eating!! 26

On top of the hotel being the all around AMAZING! The restaurant was too. I came in later but 40 mins before closing. The woman there in the front, offered me the menu and something to drink. I ordered the chicken club sandwich without bacon and fries. She told me to do room service so I can get myself together and that's what I did. The food was delicious!!! It's a buttermilk batter chicken and it's so good. The skin was my favorite and the chicken it self was juicy! The fries had a nice season and the ranch and the mayo was so good. I actually loved loved the ranch. It's a lot of food and I couldn't finish it but saved it for the next day. I then learned the lady who helped me was an opening manager or something along those lines. She is the nicest and so caring! She's an amazing asset to the team. I come here for work and will come to this restaurant for now on because of the delicious food and her. Also, the restaurant is pretty cozy and cute!

We had a fantastic experience here. The outdoor seating was beautiful and made it easy to enjoy the day. Service was friendly and quick, though parking is limited since the restaurant is located inside Hotel San Luis Obispo. We ordered the Maui Wowie pizza, which was excellent, the pickled jalapeños and pineapple were a perfect combo, and the crust was great. We also tried the Dungeness Crab Salad, and wow... this was the standout dish. The fresh veggies and crab, paired with the small fried tortilla shells, were incredible. Highly recommend it. They offer a nice selection of local beers and wines, and if you like a little heat, try the Mendoza Margarita with the habanero. Delicious.

Piadina is one of those spots that's easy to overlook but always delivers. It's casual, quick, and consistently good. Everything feels fresh, and the menu is simple in a way that works. The mushroom pizza is the highlight and absolutely worth calling out. The crust is thin and crisp with just enough chew, the mushrooms are earthy and flavorful, and the balance of cheese and sauce keeps it from feeling too heavy. The vibe is relaxed and low-key, great for a laid-back lunch, dinner with friends. Portions are solid, prices are reasonable. If you're at Piadina, get the mushroom pizza--you won't regret it.

We were looking for a place to spend NYE! Piada was great . Not too loud and we enjoyed our food. Drinks were always good. Our waiter was awesome. He checked in often. We decided to leave early but they did have a DJ to welcome the New Year. We were just too tired.

Wow, what a meal! Came here with a colleague who is a local and this place was great. The restaurant had a cool vibe to it and the service was excellent. Really great menu challenged me as so many things sounded delicious. Settled on the swordfish and I was not disappointed. It was cooked perfectly and was absolutely amazing. The only issue was I dined here in my last day of being in SLO which means I have to wait for the next trip to come back again. Can't wait for that trip!

Located inside Hotel San Luis Obispo, Piadina is a place you would take your wife or partner for a nice meal in an elegant setting. Chose this since my wife loves places she can take pics and share her meal. Piadina is reasonable priced and the dining and patio area can provide a relaxing lunch and dinner experience. So why 4 and not 5 stars? My Kobe burger with fries- double patty with cheese and some condiments on the side. I tried to bite into it like other hamburgers but was too massive and slippery. Presentation is a 5. My only gripe is they didn't ask how I wanted my burger cooked. The ends was fine but as we got into the center, it got more pink where the center had some meat that definitely wasn't cooked. For that alone, I have to give the chef one less star for an undercooked burger. My wife had beets and had the honey roasted chicken added. Presentation was a 5. And she didn't have any issues from what I saw. Service was 5 stars. Our waiter was Hakeem and did a great job in checking in on us. Definitely a place worthy to try and still would recommend for visitors to try if visiting downtown SLO

Booked this restaurant for 5pm on Saturday on my visit to SLO and they were super accommodating with my requests about timing of the reservations as my plans had changed. I got the new york steak with kale caesar salad and I loveddd the portions for this! I didn't expect there to be so much salad which was a great surprise. I asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare but it was more on the rare side, which I didn't mind too much to send it back. One side was cooked more rare than the other. The char was amazing though and I could taste a lot of smokiness which I loved. The salad was refreshing and loved the feta cheese touch. It went well with the steak to balance out the flavors. The chicken was really tender and the olive oil seasoning and pickled olives went well with it. I loved how crispy and flavorful the brussels sprouts were!!! It's a nice and classy ambience inside with booths and some candles and I actually loved how cute the menus were. I'd definitely recommend this place!!!

I've been here a few times and can confidently say it's a staple of downtown slo with consistently delicious food, efficient, kind service, and an upscale but still California casual atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you aren't wanting to spend as much as ox and anchor costs, but you really can't go wrong with any of hotel SLO's offerings, from the dining to the spa!

Upscale pizza and Italian...where everything is just exactly perfect. We had outstanding service, comfortable and modern ambiance, and really enjoyable food, including the chopped salad, goat cheese croquettes, hot honey pizza, and mushroom pizza. Reasonable prices and really huge portions so you will have leftovers the next day!

(Tom Cruise voiceover) The vibe is hidden oasis! A modern restaurant w/ the most fab Herb Roasted Chicken (Sous Vide is the secret). Chris warmly greeted and served us! He is super cordial! Kobe Burger. The best burger you will ever have! Beet Salad. Amazing! Chicken Club. Remarkably moist! Double patties. Double fun! Kale Salad w/ Grilled Swordfish. Generous portions! Perfectly done swordfish! Pot de Crème! C'est marveileuse! Sorbet! The berries are huge! Easily the best dining experience in SLO! Thanks, Chris! Would order everything again!

Cheeseburger, even though you can't see the very generous double patties.

Crazy good hamburgers (double patty), chopped salad, etc. Classy but casual environment. Heaters outdoors and great for kids. Glasses for soda could have been bigger... had to ask waiter for refills twice.

There are carvings and decorative items all about. Cozy and warm. Historically, there are stories about the various objects and mounted animals. Their menu features a scavenger hunt, which we unsuccessfully tried. The menu is a masterpiece of everything. there is a grazing menu, sandwiches, entrees, a forage menu of basic veggie presentations, and a bar with quite a few very cleaver offerings. Absolutely fascinating interior. Go inside to take it in. You will be struck amazed. Wife and I came in for dinner and were not disappointed. We felt the warmth. Specialty cocktails, draft beer, bottled beer lounge draft 16oz beers and wine by the glass. They also have some fancy custom non-alcohol cocktails. Everyone should be happy. Service was "on" but fulfillment was "off". Wait staff hustled but had to wait for bar and kitchen to come through faster. I don't usually order specialty/fancy cocktails, but was intrigued with a Feral Martini ($17). Got it and found it to be lacking flavor or anything special. It was watery and disappointing. Was surprised when I shared my feelings with our server Camille O. who took it back, credited it from our bill and brought me a replacement of my choice. Way to go! Had a Manhattan ($12) and wife had a red blend wine ($13.50). Now or our meals. Funny that we both has short rib entrees. Wife did the Taco 'bout Delicious ($21), which was short ribs with oaxaca cheese, cilantro, and a dip of house-made consomme. Like a French dip, but different. She dipped and liked it all. My selection of Braise The Bar ($29) was short ribs surmounting a mound of sage-mashed potatoes dosed with pickled onions, blistered shishito peppers (a favorite of mine) and fresh cilantro. An explosion in my mouth and truly yummy. Nothing served here is usual. Some very cleaver people spent a lot of creative energy to architect entrees, cocktails and the rest of the menu so as to be uniquely delicious. My Yelp! profile does not contain many 5-star ratings but now has this one for Feral. Give it a try and this would be a great first date of small group venture.

Both got dishes featuring short ribs, him the mac and cheese, me the entree with mashed potatoes. Pros 1. The pre-dinner cocktails were tasty. 2. The servers were very nice. Cons 1. Wanted wine with dinner. In the middle of California wine country they had only a handful of supermarket-quality wines. 2. The short run was dry and not very flavorful in both dishes. 3. The starches on both plates were not well-prepred. The mac and cheese was SO dry and the mashed potatoes were cold and lacked seasoning. 4. The starter or appetizer selection is quite limited. This wasn't a good meal, and it wasn't a cheap one, either. We won't be back.

Service here was excellent, we were checked up on enough and our server gave great recommendations. Thanks to our server Talia D! They also gave us complementary bread before we received our meal, and a lot of the dishes were unique and plated well. I would come back if I'm ever in the area and would recommend this place to all my friends! All ratings below are averaged (from me and my bf): salmon bisque // 9.25 // very yummy and unique. my bf didn't think he'd like it -- he usually dislikes seafood -- but it was great!! creamy, clear salmon taste but no unpleasant fishy/ocean taste that a lot of seafood has. i've never had this anywhere else, props to the chef! thai green curry // 8.5 // my bf says it's a 9. it's good but i feel like it was not my fave, it's lowkey your good, standard green curry that you can get at any thai place duck breast (curry) // 8.75 // very delicious and unique, i'd rate the curry, rice, and duck breast as 9/10, the duck breast itself was a 10/10. the curry was creamy, and they were all delicious and fragrant, pairing well together. however, the mushrooms, carrots, and other veggies it came with are too sweet. they seem like they're glazed with a sauce that has too much sugar. the black rice was surprisingly very filling strawberry matcha trifle // 8 // yummy, nothing majorly wrong with it. reminds me of a strawberry matcha latte. matcha whipped cream was a nice, unique touch i haven't really seen elsewhere despite it not sounding difficult to make. i'd order it again but i feel like it's on the sweeter side, so you can't eat too much of it.

Say yes to the menu!!! That's the first thing that came to my mind when I visited Novo in SLO. Once…read moreupon a time, I saw this restaurant be featured on the iconic Check Please, so needless to say the award winning food speaks for itself and I was ready for this experience. I came into Novo with high expectations and my expectations were exceeded. Calamari: Who doesn't want Calamari on the Central Coast, for me it's a must. But can we take a moment to complement the sauces they pair with the calamari. Novo's calamari is paired with a tartar sauce and a sweet chili sauce. Definitely a first experience for me and I was beyond impressed. My taste buds danced because, whoever, is out here making many and flavor pairings for Novo has unlocked a new game mode for me. If you ever are wondering what appetizer to try, this right here is my first recommendation. Blackberry Ginger Cooler: The mocktail was beautiful and also a great pairing. I would love to try their other drinks soon. Matcha Strawberry Trifle: My mom, sisters, and I agreed on this dessert and let me tell you, I'm so glad we did. The matcha trifle had so much goodness to it we spent time trying to guess what flavors were in its profile. Think a berry chantilly from Whole Foods, but with matcha flavor and so fresh! Immediately after finishing my little sister said I had to learn to make this specific dessert and needless to say I don't disagree. It was balanced in sweetness, very light, and a great summer dessert. King Salmon: 2 please! The king salmon comes with Tabbouleh and green beans. This dish was my mom's and she was very pleased. One part of food I enjoy is not just the eating and experience, it's the aspect of reminisce in the flavors, analysis of the cooking, and trying to gauge cooking technique. For this dish, the salmon was perfectly cooked and it is not what we expected in the best way possible. This dish had so many different flavor profiles and wait until you taste the added kick of wasabi. Can I get another round? Korean Short Ribs: When I first saw this on the menu I was struck with asking myself how this dish might taste. It was one of those dishes where I thought, I have had plenty of short rib, I have had kimchi, but I have never seen them on one plate. More than that, I was hesitant as I like kimchi but not my to go to choice, nonetheless, I was drawn to this dish so of course I ordered it. Wow! Was I glad I did. My sister had the same order and we agreed the kimchi had such a nice kick to it. The spare rib was also thinly sliced making this dish easy and yummy. Now don't let that kick of heat scare you, I encourage everyone to try this dish. The rice sort of acts as a contrasting agent to help tone down the flavor and you just have to try it all together. All that said, I think service was awesome, then again SLO is a beautiful heart in California. But seriously we had an awesome waiter who shared with me the history of the restaurant. The story is also on their menu, but Nova's little sister restaurant is Red Luna and the big sister restaurant is Robin's Restaurant in Cambria. So good to know because I can now see how all this deliciousness connects! Big fan of these places and it's great to know they are one family. I don't think I have a favorite sibling of the three, but here's to another 5 stars for the middle child.

My dog was behaving impeccably and performing their trained tasks. Loudness, past incidents, or personal assumptions are not valid reasons to refuse a service animal. This was not a misunderstanding--it was a refusal of access based on disability. I hope management educates their staff on ADA compliance so future disabled patrons are not treated this way. I will not be spending my money here and urge others to do the same based on their discriminatory behavior.

We've tried the pastor, lemon pepper chicken, carne asada, pescado, and crispy pescado--and every single one has been spot on. They actually remind me of the authentic tacos I've had in Mexico City. I've seen a few reviews mentioning rude staff, but in the eight times we've been there, everyone has been nothing but friendly and chill. Bonus points for the pool table and the live music--we love the fun, relaxed vibe. If you're serious about your tacos, give The Mark a try. You might just become a regular too.

Bouncers working on April 10, 2026 were extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of simply doing their job, they made unnecessary and disrespectful comments. As a business owner myself, I understand the importance of upholding rules. However, there is a clear difference between maintaining standards and failing to show basic respect to guests and this interaction reflected the latter. That kind of unprofessional behavior reflects poorly on the entire establishment. Management should take a closer look at who they have representing them at the door.
