Great service and great vibes. Kobe burger was savory. Mushroom pizza was delicious. Left satisfied.

California farm fresh cuisine with Italian influence. Located in the Hotel San Obispo, the restaurant is spacious, modern with a lot of natural lighting. We ordered the fig & prosciutto pizza and the wild mushroom pizza, and both were excellent. The toppings were definitely quintessentially California. Super fresh and flavorful. The crust were beautifully blistered with those perfect charred bubbles around the edges that give it texture and flavor without being overly burnt. The grilled artichoke was also outstanding.. Being so close to the artichoke capital of the world, it was a no brainer that we had to eat it. Steamed first and then finished on the grill, giving it a soft, tender texture with a light smoky char. The ambiance is very modern, clean, and bright with an open kitchen that adds energy to the space. Service was friendly and professional, though slightly uneven at times due to servers rotating shifts. Happy eating!! 26

Best grilled artichoke I've ever had! I keep her returning here so that I can have the grilled artichoke with some bread and a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc. The only thing holding me back lately is the parking, but there were free parking days in the pre-and post Christmas season. We took advantage of a free Sunday, parked right outside and sauntered to enjoy a good lunch! Of course I ordered the artichoke! It's artichoke heaven! I've eaten artichokes all up and down the California coast, and once had only a bushel of artichokes as snacks on a summer vacation! I am an artichoke fiend and love them in all their tantalizing incarnations! What's so good about this one? The savory puddle of butter mixed with parmesan cheese that blesses the top and bestows flavor combined with the tang of the grill! You can add a spritz of lemon and experience artichoke nirvana! I sat welcoming the New Year, enjoying every savory succulent bite of that great big grilled thistle known as the artichoke!

On top of the hotel being the all around AMAZING! The restaurant was too. I came in later but 40 mins before closing. The woman there in the front, offered me the menu and something to drink. I ordered the chicken club sandwich without bacon and fries. She told me to do room service so I can get myself together and that's what I did. The food was delicious!!! It's a buttermilk batter chicken and it's so good. The skin was my favorite and the chicken it self was juicy! The fries had a nice season and the ranch and the mayo was so good. I actually loved loved the ranch. It's a lot of food and I couldn't finish it but saved it for the next day. I then learned the lady who helped me was an opening manager or something along those lines. She is the nicest and so caring! She's an amazing asset to the team. I come here for work and will come to this restaurant for now on because of the delicious food and her. Also, the restaurant is pretty cozy and cute!

We had a fantastic experience here. The outdoor seating was beautiful and made it easy to enjoy the day. Service was friendly and quick, though parking is limited since the restaurant is located inside Hotel San Luis Obispo. We ordered the Maui Wowie pizza, which was excellent, the pickled jalapeños and pineapple were a perfect combo, and the crust was great. We also tried the Dungeness Crab Salad, and wow... this was the standout dish. The fresh veggies and crab, paired with the small fried tortilla shells, were incredible. Highly recommend it. They offer a nice selection of local beers and wines, and if you like a little heat, try the Mendoza Margarita with the habanero. Delicious.

Piadina is one of those spots that's easy to overlook but always delivers. It's casual, quick, and consistently good. Everything feels fresh, and the menu is simple in a way that works. The mushroom pizza is the highlight and absolutely worth calling out. The crust is thin and crisp with just enough chew, the mushrooms are earthy and flavorful, and the balance of cheese and sauce keeps it from feeling too heavy. The vibe is relaxed and low-key, great for a laid-back lunch, dinner with friends. Portions are solid, prices are reasonable. If you're at Piadina, get the mushroom pizza--you won't regret it.

We were looking for a place to spend NYE! Piada was great . Not too loud and we enjoyed our food. Drinks were always good. Our waiter was awesome. He checked in often. We decided to leave early but they did have a DJ to welcome the New Year. We were just too tired.

Mixed green salad with duck confit. Hot honey pizza. Mimosa

Lovely spot for lunch or dinner. We got some mimosas, the hot honey pizza, and the mixed green salad with a duck confit leg.

Wow, what a meal! Came here with a colleague who is a local and this place was great. The restaurant had a cool vibe to it and the service was excellent. Really great menu challenged me as so many things sounded delicious. Settled on the swordfish and I was not disappointed. It was cooked perfectly and was absolutely amazing. The only issue was I dined here in my last day of being in SLO which means I have to wait for the next trip to come back again. Can't wait for that trip!

Located inside Hotel San Luis Obispo, Piadina is a place you would take your wife or partner for a nice meal in an elegant setting. Chose this since my wife loves places she can take pics and share her meal. Piadina is reasonable priced and the dining and patio area can provide a relaxing lunch and dinner experience. So why 4 and not 5 stars? My Kobe burger with fries- double patty with cheese and some condiments on the side. I tried to bite into it like other hamburgers but was too massive and slippery. Presentation is a 5. My only gripe is they didn't ask how I wanted my burger cooked. The ends was fine but as we got into the center, it got more pink where the center had some meat that definitely wasn't cooked. For that alone, I have to give the chef one less star for an undercooked burger. My wife had beets and had the honey roasted chicken added. Presentation was a 5. And she didn't have any issues from what I saw. Service was 5 stars. Our waiter was Hakeem and did a great job in checking in on us. Definitely a place worthy to try and still would recommend for visitors to try if visiting downtown SLO

Booked this restaurant for 5pm on Saturday on my visit to SLO and they were super accommodating with my requests about timing of the reservations as my plans had changed. I got the new york steak with kale caesar salad and I loveddd the portions for this! I didn't expect there to be so much salad which was a great surprise. I asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare but it was more on the rare side, which I didn't mind too much to send it back. One side was cooked more rare than the other. The char was amazing though and I could taste a lot of smokiness which I loved. The salad was refreshing and loved the feta cheese touch. It went well with the steak to balance out the flavors. The chicken was really tender and the olive oil seasoning and pickled olives went well with it. I loved how crispy and flavorful the brussels sprouts were!!! It's a nice and classy ambience inside with booths and some candles and I actually loved how cute the menus were. I'd definitely recommend this place!!!

I've been here a few times and can confidently say it's a staple of downtown slo with consistently delicious food, efficient, kind service, and an upscale but still California casual atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you aren't wanting to spend as much as ox and anchor costs, but you really can't go wrong with any of hotel SLO's offerings, from the dining to the spa!

Upscale pizza and Italian...where everything is just exactly perfect. We had outstanding service, comfortable and modern ambiance, and really enjoyable food, including the chopped salad, goat cheese croquettes, hot honey pizza, and mushroom pizza. Reasonable prices and really huge portions so you will have leftovers the next day!

We sat in a cute garden area with vines, plants, and fairy lights, very cozy like you're in a friend's well-decorated patio. They also gave us complementary bread before we received our meal, and a lot of the dishes were unique and plated well. I would come back if I'm ever in the area and would recommend this place to all my friends! All ratings below are averaged (from me and my bf): salmon bisque // 9.25 // very yummy and unique. my bf didn't think he'd like it -- he usually dislikes seafood -- but it was great!! creamy, clear salmon taste but no unpleasant fishy/ocean taste that a lot of seafood has. i've never had this anywhere else, props to the chef! thai green curry // 8.5 // my bf says it's a 9. it's good but i feel like it was not my fave, it's lowkey your good, standard green curry that you can get at any thai place duck breast (curry) // 8.75 // very delicious and unique, i'd rate the curry, rice, and duck breast as 9/10, the duck breast itself was a 10/10. the curry was creamy, and they were all delicious and fragrant, pairing well together. however, the mushrooms, carrots, and other veggies it came with are too sweet. they seem like they're glazed with a sauce that has too much sugar. the black rice was surprisingly very filling strawberry matcha trifle // 8 // yummy, nothing majorly wrong with it. reminds me of a strawberry matcha latte. matcha whipped cream was a nice, unique touch i haven't really seen elsewhere despite it not sounding difficult to make. i'd order it again but i feel like it's on the sweeter side, so you can't eat too much of it.

On arrival, my service dog was heeling calmly and under full control while the bouncer spoke with us. Despite this, I was told I could not enter because the establishment downstairs had previously had "an incident" with a different service animal. Denying access based on a past experience with another dog is not lawful. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, service animals may only be excluded if that specific animal is out of control or not housebroken--neither of which applied here. My dog was behaving impeccably and performing their trained tasks. Loudness, past incidents, or personal assumptions are not valid reasons to refuse a service animal. This was not a misunderstanding--it was a refusal of access based on disability. I hope management educates their staff on ADA compliance so future disabled patrons are not treated this way. I will not be spending my money here and urge others to do the same based on their discriminatory behavior.

Later on in the night he shoulder checked me, so, to defend myself, I shoved him. He bucked up on me and threatened security and a camera check. Tell me why I got kicked out??? I am a respectful person and I will always leave anywhere if asked to go. Why did the bouncer grab me and start shoving me out the door. He grabbed my INJURED arm. When I yelped, "ouch my arm is injured please let go, I am leaving." His response was "Don't fight back or I'll call the cops." Unacceptable. F*ck this place and the employees. I will NEVER be back and I will also discourage anyone from going by enlightening them on my AWFULLLLL experience. EDIT: What an unprofessional response, but not surprised after reading your responses to other patrons. Who the f*ck are you to tell me the extent of my injury?! Regardless of how big or small NOBODY would want their wound manhandled. There were people everywhere and I was walked towards the exit. You don't kick someone out of an establishment by grabbing and manhandling them. Your security just wants an excuse to put their hands on people and take advantage of their power. I did not shove multiple people so that claim is 100% false. Also never said I was an employee, nor would I ever want to work for you?? I shoved ONE person that shoulder checked me and threatened to beat me up for no reason. Show some professionalism in your responses to upset guests, it makes you look pathetic and childish.
