    Steak breakfast burrito
    Ilana V.

Stopped into Twenty South on a quiet morning and was genuinely impressed with the whole experience. The space itself is bright, welcoming, and beautifully designed--clean lines, lots of natural light, and a calm energy that makes it a lovely spot to settle in for a coffee or breakfast. I ordered the lychee cappuccino, which was unique and really well-balanced. The lychee flavor was subtle--I personally wouldn't have minded a bit more intensity--but I really appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet. It still let the espresso shine through, which I always prefer. For food, I had the steak breakfast burrito, and it was cooked perfectly. The burrito on its own was maybe a touch under-seasoned for my taste, but once I added their housemade verde sauce, it completely came alive. That sauce is seriously next-level--bright, flavorful, and exactly what the dish needed. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, happy to offer recommendations and clearly proud of what they're serving. You can feel that they're really trying to create a welcoming, thoughtful experience here. Definitely a place I'll return to--and recommend to friends. Great coffee, solid food, and a space that just feels good to be in.

I found this restaurant through yelp while looking for breakfast spots where we could get a bloody Mary. Unfortunately, while this establishment highlights, cocktails, they do not sell alcoholic beverages on Sunday mornings. They did inform us that they were working to change that, but it was a disappointment for us as this was our last stop for our trip. We decided to still stay and order at their window and take a seat outside. We had our small dog with us, and they can accommodate pets in their outdoor seating area. They are very pet friendly and even brought him a treat! We shared the breakfast burrito and the lox toast. The burrito was perfect! It had just the right amount of potatoes (sometimes restaurants will stuff it with potatoes and not enough of anything else, but they had just the right amount). I also liked that it came with two salsa options. The toast was light and refreshing and helped us balance the other otherwise heavy burrito. I would return and visit the shops in the surrounding area as well.

Delicious fig, ricotta, and prosciutto sandwich (although I'd personally go lighter on the fig jam, as sweetly delicious as it was). Perfectly toasted sourdough bread and fresh side of greens. Friendly service, nice indoor and outdoor space.

Twenty South is exactly what San Luis Obispo, and especially the SLO Public Market, has been needing. We visited this weekend and were immediately struck by the atmosphere, the level of service, and the outstanding quality of both the food and the coffee. We ordered the Steak Breakfast Burrito, the Pumpkin Pie French Toast, the Brown Sugar Latte, and the Orange Cardamom Cappuccino. Drinks arrived quickly and the food followed shortly after. The presentation and flavor of each dish exceeded anything we expected. Having tried every breakfast burrito in town, this one stands at the top. The eggs and potatoes are perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the tender steak is the clear highlight. Add a little of their house-made salsa verde to each bite and you will understand why this burrito deserves the crown. The Pumpkin Pie French Toast is extraordinary. The plating looks like something from a Michelin test kitchen. The Pepita Peanut Brittle, the mascarpone, and the maple syrup come together in a way that feels warm, seasonal, and genuinely memorable. The coffee program deserves its own praise. The Orange Cardamom Cappuccino is unlike anything we have found on the West Coast. The balance of flavors is precise, and the beans themselves stand out from anything else available locally. The Brown Sugar Latte is equally impressive. Twenty South is raising the standard for what a coffee and kitchen experience should be in SLO. It is a standout addition to the community and truly a chef's kiss!

The food was really good. Lox tartine with egg and breakfast burrito. Nice service. Perfect outdoor seating in the sunshine.

Honestly I wish I could give this place a 5 star. I was expecting a lot due to the high rating and beautiful ambience and tasty-sounding selection. The servers were very nice and checked in with us after food was served. The only food item we ordered was the French toast which took a while to come out and unfortunately was cold. This is why I have to dock them down a whole star. The latte I got was delicious though!! The syrup is house made and I could see vanilla beans in my coffee! The espresso itself was very tasty as well, making an overall great drink. I also want to add that our server came by after our meal and we let him know about the cold food and he was apologetic and said he'd tell the chefs, this was appreciated.

I really enjoyed the coffee here! I got the mocha with oat milk and my SO got a cortado with oat milk. Both came with pretty latte art. It seemed like there was only one barista who was also taking orders but he got our drinks to us promptly. There's some indoor seating and plenty outdoor seating to enjoy that California sun. I love this Public Market space for SLO!

Twenty South is a standout addition to SLO and easily the best spot in the Public Market. The vibe is great, the service is dialed in, and the food and coffee are on another level. The food is always beautifully presented, and absolutely phenomenal. The Steak Breakfast Burrito is King of SLO, the French Toast feels Michelin-worthy, and the coffee program is unmatched on the Central Coast.

Okay when I seen this place I didn't know if I was going to really enjoy the sleek vibe. But when in SLO you gotta SLO down okay!! I had my normal espresso shots and baby they did not disappoint. And yes I like my coffee to look like me! Bold dark and coming with a punch! The barista was so welcoming. The seating is plus size inclusive- there were booths, high chairs, and regular seating! Outdoor seating as well. Different types of coffee drinks- I wanted a matcha too because yo girl was back there whipping the matcha up okay! But I didn't do it. When I am back in SLO I will be back! Check this whole market it put super cute!

This place is between a 3 and a 4. I like more of a breakfast selection, but I also understand this place is small. You order at the counter and then they bring you your breakfast. Coffee they give to you and you add cream, sugar yourself. The coffee was strong, so beware. Since the menu was small, my husband had Steak breakfast burrito and took half home. He said it was fine. I had the breakfast scramble with side of potatoes that had just the right amount of spiciness. It came with sourdough toast and yummy. Fig jam. I ate everything. Place inside is small, but there is some nice outdoor seating. It's been opened for about 6 months

I was super excited to try this spot out for breakfast, but unfortunately their kitchen isn't open on Tuesday's due to short staff. They only had pastries and overnight oats for food. I was kind of disappointed by that as it wasn't listed on their Instagram or Yelp. Their website seems to still be in progress as well? We did get to try their drinks and the strawberry matcha was very yummy. The chai tasted a little more watered down and was just ok. This place seems super cute and hopefully I can come back to try their food! ig: @cravingswithcat

New coffee shop located within the SLO Public Market on the South side of Downtown SLO/Cal Poly that will be a fantastic addition for SLO county residents. Had the pleasure of dropping in this morning for my first time after a hike and got to meet the owner Andre who was extremely generous with his time. He let me know he and his team took over their new location just 9 days ago in the SLO Public Market (formerly Pixies/Rambling Spirits 1.0). It was very clear in our brief conversation that Andre an exciting vision for the space given his past experience and time spent bringing this company to life. He mentioned wanting to establish the shop as one of SLO County + the 805 area code's very best multi-origin focused coffee shops that also specializes in made to order small bites (breakfast/lunch), and eventually cocktails given the liquor license he also procured with the new lease. I ordered myself a brown sugar (all syrups made in house) latte and my wife a dirty chai tea with a shot of decaf and both drinks were absolutely phenomenal. I can already see Andre's talents as a barista rivaling other top coffee shops in SLO such as Scout & Field Day (where he formerly worked) and Twenty South being a flagship for coffee lovers in SLO that appreciate a tucked away location from the University/Downtown where parking is free/ample. Looking forward to frequenting Twenty South a lot more with how close it is to our place. Will be exciting to see Andre grow his vision over time for the space itself given it's potential with a full kitchen/outdoor patio. I have a better feeling about the nature of this business in comparison to the previous tenants for this space. I'd highly recommend locals to pay Andre + Twenty South a visit especially if you love coffee + tea! Make sure to enter through the patio entrance that faces California Tacos. Cheers!

There are carvings and decorative items all about. Cozy and warm. Historically, there are stories about the various objects and mounted animals. Their menu features a scavenger hunt, which we unsuccessfully tried. The menu is a masterpiece of everything. there is a grazing menu, sandwiches, entrees, a forage menu of basic veggie presentations, and a bar with quite a few very cleaver offerings. Absolutely fascinating interior. Go inside to take it in. You will be struck amazed. Wife and I came in for dinner and were not disappointed. We felt the warmth. Specialty cocktails, draft beer, bottled beer lounge draft 16oz beers and wine by the glass. They also have some fancy custom non-alcohol cocktails. Everyone should be happy. Service was "on" but fulfillment was "off". Wait staff hustled but had to wait for bar and kitchen to come through faster. I don't usually order specialty/fancy cocktails, but was intrigued with a Feral Martini ($17). Got it and found it to be lacking flavor or anything special. It was watery and disappointing. Was surprised when I shared my feelings with our server Camille O. who took it back, credited it from our bill and brought me a replacement of my choice. Way to go! Had a Manhattan ($12) and wife had a red blend wine ($13.50). Now or our meals. Funny that we both has short rib entrees. Wife did the Taco 'bout Delicious ($21), which was short ribs with oaxaca cheese, cilantro, and a dip of house-made consomme. Like a French dip, but different. She dipped and liked it all. My selection of Braise The Bar ($29) was short ribs surmounting a mound of sage-mashed potatoes dosed with pickled onions, blistered shishito peppers (a favorite of mine) and fresh cilantro. An explosion in my mouth and truly yummy. Nothing served here is usual. Some very cleaver people spent a lot of creative energy to architect entrees, cocktails and the rest of the menu so as to be uniquely delicious. My Yelp! profile does not contain many 5-star ratings but now has this one for Feral. Give it a try and this would be a great first date of small group venture.

Wanted wine with dinner. In the middle of California wine country they had only a handful of supermarket-quality wines. 2. The short run was dry and not very flavorful in both dishes. 3. The starches on both plates were not well-prepred. The mac and cheese was SO dry and the mashed potatoes were cold and lacked seasoning. 4. The starter or appetizer selection is quite limited. This wasn't a good meal, and it wasn't a cheap one, either. We won't be back.

Juicy and tender, great flavor, no a single thing wrong with it. The rice and vegetables were fantastic, especially the carrots. I don't know why they seemed extra good, but they were. 2 orders of the Ribeye. Once cooked medium and mine, cooked medium rare. Unfortunately, when mine came out, I immediately could tell that it was nowhere near cooked right. It was actually well done. When the waiter came back, I said "I'm sorry to have to do this..." and before I could finish he said "oh yea, that's definitely not medium rare, let me have the kitchen refire that for you". I dislike sending food back, but when you're spending $58 on a ribeye dinner, it HAS to be correct. (Note- the manager remedied the issue quick..came to the table, offered soup, bread, etc, which I had already eaten soup, so he comped 50% off the steak. Nice gesture!) The rest of the vegetables paired with the ribeye were very good. If someone told you the white bean puree was mashed potatoes, most people would believe it. Very creamy and delicious. The Italian salsa verde on top was also very fulfilling. Overall the dinner was very good.

My husband and I have officially become Taco Tuesday regulars at The Mark--and for good reason. It…read moremight seem a little unexpected to find top-tier tacos at a bar, but as self-proclaimed taco aficionados, we can confidently say these are the best tacos in San Luis Obispo. We've tried the pastor, lemon pepper chicken, carne asada, pescado, and crispy pescado--and every single one has been spot on. They actually remind me of the authentic tacos I've had in Mexico City. I've seen a few reviews mentioning rude staff, but in the eight times we've been there, everyone has been nothing but friendly and chill. Bonus points for the pool table and the live music--we love the fun, relaxed vibe. If you're serious about your tacos, give The Mark a try. You might just become a regular too.

Bouncers working on April 10, 2026 were extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of simply doing their job, they made unnecessary and disrespectful comments. As a business owner myself, I understand the importance of upholding rules. However, there is a clear difference between maintaining standards and failing to show basic respect to guests and this interaction reflected the latter. That kind of unprofessional behavior reflects poorly on the entire establishment. Management should take a closer look at who they have representing them at the door.

Bacon was tasty, eggs (over medium) were cooked perfectly, and the potatoes were cooked well. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. French toast was thick cut and super good! I had the omelette with bacon, sausage and cheddar. Man, that thing was PACKED with bacon and sausage. I think the sausage is hand formed and is hope it was homemade, because it was delicious and the way it was chopped was perfect. Got mine with fries instead of the O'Brien potatoes because I don't care for bell pepper much, and the fires were fresh cut and freshly fried. The ranch...oh man, the ranch was some of the best ranch I've had in a while. Great little breakfast place serving wholesome food. I recommend.

The place looks like a nice small diner, with friendly staff and quick service. The staff were nice and patient to get our orders. However the food was a little disappointing, we ordered the bagel sandwich and the mushroom cheese omelette. The bagel sandwich was very bland, it was like it didn't have any salt or pepper added. The same was true for the omelette. The home fries were more like deep fried potato cubes, which were also very oily.
