Honestly after reviewing everyone else's reviews, I am so sorry to hear of the very negative experience you all have had. We have experienced an issue with them when it comes to the pandemic and losing income. We were told by a person in customer service that we would get put on a reduced payment plan, and they never put us on one even after having our car for 2 years and only 2 prior missed payments. Both missed payments due to the pandemic. But that is the only issue we have ever had. This company has worked with us and if it were not for the incident mentioned above, I would have given them 5 stars. They are simple. If you miss a payment, CALL THEM BEFORE THEY CALL YOU!!! Make a payment arrangement and if you cannot keep that arrangement, CALL THEM BEFORE THE PAYMENT IS EXPECTED TO COME OUT and work something out. COMMUNICATION is the key to having a good relationship with them. Let's face it...Flagship is a subprime lender for those of us who have less than perfect credit. So use them until you can do better! I will have to also say that I would refer them to anyone else we know. They have been faithful to honor our past payment arrangements and they only start calling you when you are 30 days past due and when you don't honor your payment arrangements. They can get VERY OBNOXIOUS with their 50 calls a day from random numbers etc... STAY AWAYYYY!!!! This company is HORRIBLE... They disconnect the phone on you for holding them accountable for dishonesty. I have the rep my counties address in which he was reluctant to take.. so I asked him to repeat it back to me and he couldn't and said that I was being disrespectful. He made accusations to take the blame off of him. They sent my title to the wrong county hours away and isn't willing to assist. The csr couldn't give me the email address to their title department to so that I can email them the correct information regarding where my title should be sent to. One rep says a supervisor isn't available they will need to call you back in 72 hours and he disconnected the call. I spoke to another rep Angy, she took went through the entire motion as if she was writing down the correct address for the county in which my title should be sent to. When I asked her to repeat it back to me, she could not. This company is by far the worse. Evil workers for sure. My experience with Flagship Financial Group was fine while the loan was active, but after payoff it has been extremely frustrating. My loan was paid in full on 2/27/2026, yet as of 4/15/2026 they reported my account as 120 days past due on my credit report. I have documentation showing the loan is fully paid, including the payoff letter and title. Customer service acknowledged the error, but the only solution offered was to file a dispute that could take another 30 days--while my credit is negatively affected in the meantime. Very disappointing experience. I would caution others to consider how difficult it may be to resolve issues after payoff. read more

So we had to track it down. We have never dealt with this company ever. We finally tracked it down and the company admitted that they made a mistake. It too another 24 hrs. This as many have stated is the worst car financing company I have ever delt with. One day late and they are calling you like no tomorrow. My husband refuses to talk to them for they talk down and are very rude and will argue with you even if they are at fault. Like one time changes to the account numbers or some such and get a guy on phobe rude, talking down, and demanding payment. I have been with Flagship since 2020. They are the worst company I've ever dealt with. They made me accumulated unnecessary late fees when I paid more than my monthly payments. I spoke to a representative and she explained to me that I have to call and let the know how to split the payments. Let use our common sense, if i paid more than my monthly payment, it is obviously use the remaining towards the late fees. No they put it towards the principal instead. How dumb is that? They let the late fee accumulate to $160.71. Now in October 2024 I paid and called them to tell me that they have to send a request to cover the fees. The new bank sent flagship a check , flagship claims they never got it so my new bank sends another check I call flagship a guy says they got it but they didn't process it yet , so I call again checking the status and they said they lost the check , so my new bank send another check for the 3rd time , flagship says they got it but didn't process it , while all this is happening flagship is still calling me saying I owe them car payments when no I don't because my new bank sent flagship a check so I can refinance my car with my new bank, flagship unlawfully towed my car while I am at work !! Mind you I am a single mother of toddler twins and had a lot of me and my babies belongings in the car , so now my car is currently unlawfully towed !! I call flagship they again say they have the check but didn't process it , days later my new bank calls me and tells me it looks like they deposited the check in their bank so I call flagship they did , so I'm able to go to the tow and pay the fees (which I shouldn't have to this is not my fault) and get my car ! The tow people said yes come down, the tow people then call me back and say flagship told us don't release the car to you to hold the car . WHAT IS GOING ON!! This is reallly bad business !! Flagship credit was the company that picked up our car note when we refinanced. We continued to make our car note payments on time through them and never had issues. We made our last car note a few days ago and it showed up on their website as $0 owed this morning. I'm grateful to have improved our credit score past 740 due to the consistent credit reporting that flagship provided to the credit bureaus. I have made on time payments since December and everytime i call i am met with hostility and a general answer that they were not previously reporting properly so they had to upgrade their system so they will start reporting "soon" . Now they refuse to talk to me as retaliation because i made a formal complaint to the better business bureau. Well Im not stopping there. I refinanced my car with another company at the end of April. Since then I have been waiting to get my GAP refund check in the mail. I call to check the status and have been told call back in 7-10 days. I do that and I get told it can take 60-90 days to be mailed out. I wait 60-90 days and then am told 60-90 business days. Still waiting for this check that they've already received. I've confirmed with the insurance company that the check was cleared so why is it taking so long for me to get it.
