So I have never been here and go to try it out. Seedy. Ok it's a liquor store. Expensive. Noted. But when I go to check out my bill should be $24.72. The clerk rings up $124.72. To charge on my debit card. I look at it. Look at him. Tell him he's over charged me $100.00. yes really. He laughs," hehehe, sorry". Then asks me if I want a receipt. Really? Best Liquor store in the Bay Area. Hands down they have the best selection. Sometimes you might be able to find something you couldnt find at your local grocery stores. Whew....straight hood! ghetto! ratchet! Some of the words I can use to describe this place, but wanna know something....I love this spot! I will explain why the one star isn't there.... I've been coming to this spot for awhile to be honest, even before my Yelping days. I didn't realize till today that I've never checked in.."Whaaaaat" you say, I say, I know and I'm sorry and to my gracious CM forgive me :D anywho, Pic N Pic is off my work trail, or sits off Willow Pass Rd in Concord right across the street from the Park and Shop, right next to a Petsmart. So in other words this store really puts the "convenient" in convenience store. I usually find what I want here so no real issues. But let's talk about that missing star shall we.. This "convenient" store like most liquor stores attracts....A not so savory crowd at times. Like I want to get a picture of this place but didn't want to have a hobo or working girl think I was trying to snap them and some issues arise, or have solicitors bug me. Oh and throw in the crackhead and chickenhead for good measure. Even during the day this can be an issue, but at least they have a security guard that kinda subsides the annoying factor of you being bothered. So that's why my one less star. But back to the positive! I love that this store has one of those bargain liquor buckets with those little bottles of gin, vodka, whiskey ect. Prefect when you Headed out and need a little pick me up to mix with your orange juice or cranberry juice :D I know this is hood! I like buying CA Lotto scratchers here, I usually more often than not win some moolah. Plus this place is my go to for all the trending drinks that celebrities be putting out now in days (Slurricane, Myx, Buzz Ball ect) and no I'm not an alcoholic, I just like my options here. In conclusion, if you're in Concord, this place is very convenient, and it's in the heart of everything that's happening in downtown Concord. It's very close to highway four and six eighty respectively. And if you're in Concord as much as I am, It may become a here and there spot for your energy drink or alcohol needs. The guy at the register is always so friendly every time I come in. I wish they would have a wider variety of wine... I can never find some pinot grigio whenever I'm in the mood! However they consistently have a good selection of some sauv blanc and some bubbly. Sweeet! There's always a couple of people outside that kick it outside and will whistle at you when you walk in but don't do anything, they are harmless. If you are from the city, you know that there is definitely worse. If people are persistent on 'getting your digits,' put your deep voice on and say "You will never get anybody's number making people feel uncomfortable you pathetic MF." Works every time. I come here to buy cigarettes and random booze to take home after school. They guys there are nice and it always smells like hookah in the joint. It's hard to be a bad liquor store, so let me tell you why I'm giving them 4 stars: 1. I love tiny Dole cans of pineapple juice. They had them. Rare to find them in the refrigerators at a liquor store. 2. I wasn't looking for a sewing kit, but I had a hole in my leggings that desperately needed repair and they had a freaking sewing kit there for $2!! Since there isn't really any grocery stores or anything convenient around the Downtown Concord area... this is where I go to get my little snacks when I get the munchies at work. The closest grocery store is the Mexican Supermarket or the Oriental Supermarket and sometimes you just want a normal snack. This is a good place to go to for alcohol too... I remember on Thanksgiving, when everything else was closed... this place was opened and we were able to have a fun evening :) haha read more

These guys are a disgrace. The store is awesome with selection. But the people that work there if they see an opportunity to rip you off they will! Tack on an extra 50 cents here and there to almost all customers, and when you call them out they tell you "oh well" better luck next time. Just be on your toes when shopping there. read more

Pic n Pac is my local go-to spot for lottery tickets when MegaMillions and Powerball goes through the roof. The guys behind the counter handle the ticket buying no problem, and while they are a bit all business, they are friendly about it. This place is also jam packed with inventory - drinks, snacks and porno mags of every ilk. The clientele can be a little scary but I've never had any problems. I do recommend visiting with a friend if you're a lady though, just to be safe. read more

I love Pic N Pac, simply because I live right across the street and they are open until 1 am. Realistically, they are very overpriced for most items and some very seedy characters hang out here. I have seen, among others, hookers, homeless people, gang members, you name it, out standing outside and some of those, if not all, beg you for money, or beer. It is not somewhere I would go alone past dark - that's for sure. Also, some really shady characters tried to steal my dog one time when my BF tied him up outside, so we don't take him anymore. read more
