Life is short. F....it up! Family, Flavor, Friends Finally got to try this place. This place is a situated in the old bank. Which is pretty cool. You walk into the lobby and you see the safe in the middle of the room behind the bar. We started off with the dry rub wings with blue cheese were very good and savory. Must get when you get there. For pizza it was the Alsatian and sausage fennel ricotta. Alsatian was savory with every bite with just the right amount of bacon, garlic and onion. The sausage had a pesto sauce which hit you in the right way on the first bite. Since this is an ice cream and pizza had to try the ice cream. Got the malted chocolate- this was very unique it was like a creamy chocolate with tiny chocolate chips and the chocolate frappe was good again a unique chocolate flavor that hit in a good way. It's fantastic to have PICCO nearby so I don't need to go into Boston! This place has all of the same great foods as the Boston location. Pizza, ice cream, salad were all delicious and worth a return visit. Bonus- free small ice cream for bday gal! Ambience is interesting - I think it was originally a bank. Seating was comfortable for my group of 4. Service was good. On-street parking & nearby muni garage. I went around 6pm early in the work week so I found parking on-street. read more

Great new restaurant, our waitress Adrian started a nice night with her upbeat personality and she answered all of our menu questions. Great salads and chicken Parmesan sandwich on sourdough with a red sauce and pesto. Nice cocktail menu and nice beer selection. Stopped by on a weekday to grab some lunch to-go. The service was excellent and the interior of the building is absolutely beautiful. Too bad I don't live closer or I'd make this my go-to spot! I ordered a half and half small pizza (love that they do this without charging extra). Half roasted pineapple, ham, and smoked mozzarella, half sausage, ricotta, and fennel. The only critique I have is that Canadian bacon would have been better but so few places use it anymore. I also got ice cream to-go; had a hard time choosing but I got vanilla with cranberry swirl and it was so very tasty. I'll definitely be making a trip back to visit this place! read more

Blue square down the street in northboro blows this place away pizza-wise. Drinks were okay, we got the peach margarita which was just peach schnapps and tequila. could've made better drinks at home, would've loved to see some fresh muddled peach. We also got one of the pastas on the menu, which was pretty average. Not enough sauce and barely any chicken, lacked flavor. A great new pizza spot in downtown Marlborough! Pizza cooked well done (how I like it) with a variety of toppings and customizations. Food came out quick and the service was great. It's a bit pricey but that comes with the territory of a new spot on Main Street. I think it's worth the price as the pizza is extremely well made. We ordered take out recently, a couple of pizzas, calzones and meatball appetizers.The pizza was pretty good, the calzone was really burnt and just fell apart when slicing it. The meatballs were good except that they cut them up and the packaging was not great, placed in a cardboard box maybe trying to be green not sure. Having long been fans of Picco Boston during our years living in the South End, my wife and I were genuinely excited to learn of their new Marlborough location. We made Sunday lunch reservations unsure of how busy the restaurant might be, but upon arrival, we were promptly seated. The space itself is a beautiful historical bank, open, and spacious--with only a few other tables occupied at the time. Unfortunately, the service experience did not match the impressive atmosphere. Our server greeted us quickly with water, but from there, the experience began to decline. After waiting nearly fifteen minutes without being approached again, I eventually walked to the service counter to ask if we could place an order for appetizers and drinks. The server appeared annoyed by the request and, though he said he would be right over, remained idle for several more minutes. When he finally came to the table, we ordered a bottle of wine and a beverage for our son; however, before we could order food, he walked away mid-conversation. A few minutes later, a manager stopped by to ask how many glasses we needed for the wine--without the bottle in hand. I asked if we could also order appetizers, but he mentioned he didn't have anything to write with and would return shortly. After retrieving the wine (and then realizing he needed to go back for an opener), he finally poured our drinks. I again requested to place our appetizer order, and he said our server would return to take it. After several more minutes, I flagged the manager down once more; when he realized the order still hadn't been taken, he audibly remarked that the server "needed to get his SHIT together" and took the order himself. We ordered dry-rub wings and a Caesar salad with anchovies. The manager even joked with my son about bringing extra anchovies--which never arrived, as the salad came without any. Thankfully, both the wings and salad were excellent and tasted just as we remembered from the Boston location. However, once we finished our appetizers, no one returned to take our entrée order until I again sought out the server. We ordered several pizzas, which--thankfully--were outstanding: crisp crust, flavorful sauce, and generous toppings. Picco's pizza remains top-notch. When it came time for dessert, things deteriorated again. Our server seemed visibly frustrated when we asked for the ice cream menu. After several trips back and forth to check availability, it became clear there was no system for tracking what flavors were sold out. On the third attempt, I suggested he simply tell us what was available. We ordered four single scoops, which took another fifteen minutes to arrive. In short, while the food was consistently excellent and lived up to the reputation of the original location, the service was beyond disorganized, inattentive, and at times unprofessional. Management intervention was reactive rather than proactive, and the staff appeared poorly trained and disengaged. With proper management oversight and service retraining, this location has the potential to match the quality and reputation of its Boston counterpart. For now, however, the experience--despite great food--was disappointing and far below expectations. read more

I like to support new local businesses, so I was happy to order from here and recently stopped in to pick up two pizzas. When I went to pay, I tried to use rewards I had already earned ($5.80 plus a $5 birthday reward). I had received the rewards notification through their system prior to placing my order, but I was told they no longer honor the rewards program. I understand that businesses sometimes change or discontinue rewards programs, but it's disappointing when rewards customers have already earned aren't honored. Those rewards were accumulated from previous purchases supporting the business. Hopefully the owners reconsider this policy. It would be good business practice to explain that the rewards program has ended while still honoring rewards that customers had previously earned. read more

Maybe the biggest news in Marlborough since George Washington stopped by in 1789? Boston's best pizza has opened an outpost here in a beautifully refurbished bank on Main St. Epic pies. Great curated beer, wine and cocktails. And the perfect ending- the house made ice creams. This is not your neighborhood pizza joint. Artisanal sourdough pies with premium toppings. I insisted that anyone visiting Boston eat at the original location on Tremont, and I am thrilled to be only 12 miles from this new location. Check it out. 100/100. read more

Great pizza! Not greasy or heavy but full of flavor! We asked for onion on it but what they put on it was just a few little pieces; would also like to see the sauce be a tad less tart. Love the house made ice cream, real whipped cream and house made chocolate sauce!!!!! Your dessert menu should clearly state that it's all made from scratch and real!!! We love Picco! We have been long time fans of the Boston location and had the opportunity to try out this new location with friends for lunch. Many people have already mentioned the cool setting (old bank?) which is really fun. We made a reservation online, which they couldn't find at the front desk - there was plenty of space so this wasn't an issue, but might have been a problem at a busier time. We were seated promptly, water was brought out, and our server came to check on us before we were ready to order- then kindly came back a few minutes later after we had time to review. We ordered 2 large pizzas, and love the option of 1/2 and 1/2 pizzas too to try some more flavors. There was a pretty long time (~25 minutes?) from ordering to the pizzas coming out - this was a little surprising given that it wasn't that busy. We weren't in a rush, so not a big deal, but it was long enough that we noticed it and were starting to wonder where our pizzas were. Fortunately, they were unsurprisingly delicious - definitely neapolitan style with an excellent crust and good wood-fired char, and the toppings were all well-balanced. They brought out red pepper flakes too. We then had some of the ice cream (how could we not) and it was as good as the Boston location - the kids portion was a very reasonable serving for a sweet treat after the pizza. It also took a surprising amount of time for the scoops to come out after we ordered. Overall, the food and setting were great and we'd be happy to return here, but maybe not on a busy day! read more

This is such an interesting building - it was once a bank - beautiful workmanship. They have the old vault door ajar behind the bar - it's massive and ornate. The sound of the restaurant is great - just the right amount of noise and energy. My adult daughter got just a Cheese pizza and I got the Sausage, Fennel and Ricotta pizza. Amazing!! Cooked to perfection and the toppings were delicious. We were full so we'll try the ice cream next time. read more

My pasta was absolutely delicious. His pizza was great as well. Came out about 10 minutes after the pasta which we weren't thrilled about but didn't say anything. Manager came over, apologized and said he would take the pizza off the bill. We didn't ask for this or even say anything and wholly appreciated the gesture. We are big fans of the food and the space in an old bank. Our go to is the Mushroom and Brie Pizza (caramelized onion and arugula) and roasted Brussels Sprouts, sweet potato and bacon with sirache maple sauce, absolutely delicious combination. The menu has many other sides, pizzas, dishes and salads. Another call out is the dry rub wings which are delicious and the best price in the area at $10.5. The staff is down to earth and super friendly and after meeting the fun owners at the bar now we know why. I almost forgot the ice cream shop at the front of the restaurant which has a large variety of interesting flavors, affordable and to out of this world. We will be back on a regular basis! read more

For only being open 1 week, the service and food was very good. My spaghetti and meatballs tasted so fresh and the pizza was light and had a nice flavor. I loved the look and vibe. The acoustics are a bit loud, but not enough to bother me. All the staff were friendly and we received our food fairly quick for a Saturday night after 7:00pm. We'll definitely come back. read more

Visiting my daughter and family over the Thanksgiving weekend and of course one has to have pizza after the huge turkey meal. My daughter and son in law said they probably eat here once a week. Well I couldn't have been happier with this choice. Open for about a year, it took over an old (late 1800's) bank building complete with the old vault. Hand made pizzas made with a sourdough crust and fresh ingredients. We shared a large with fresh tomato sauce and mozzarella. We added ricotta and fresh sausage. It was perfect. Before that we shared a Caesar salad, made perfectly and their hot honey chicken wings(finger lickin' good) variety. We all had some different to drink. I chose a regional dark lager that was new on the menu. This should be a keeper. I wish this place was located near me in Florida. Now I'll have to really search for som to come close. I look forward to coming here again on my next visit to Marlborough. read more

The two good best things about this place is the decor because it's in an old beautiful Bank and the ice cream. The meat mini meatball appetizer is a joke they should call it sauce soup with half mini meatballs. The service was subpar. And the pizza is horrible. Specially $15 for a mini pizza can't see this place staying busy for long. read more
