Stopped in to try the pizza. When I visit an Italian restaurant/pizza establishment I always try a plain slice first so I can experience the sauce without extra trimmings. I was not disappointed. The sauce was amazing. Although the plain slice was very satisfying, it left my taste buds wanting more. Before I could order the very courteous owner stopped at my table to ask how I liked the pizza. Then, he asked me if I was going to have another slice. After I said yes, he said I have a slice I think you're going to like and it's on me. He brought me a slice that he referred to as Trenton pizza. Needless to say, it exceeded my expectations. Now before I say what I'm about to say, let me tell you that I was born and raised in Brooklyn. I know what NY style pizza is NY style pizza has two things 1. Thin crust. Not paper thin like Pizza Hut thin crust 2 The bottom is crispy so that when you fold it, it should crack This pizza meets those requirements It has a restaurant side and a pizzeria side. We ordered on Valentine's Day and they forgot the soup in our order. When we drove back to get the soup, the worker in the front gave us an attitude about it. My father ordered the Antipasto with no peppers and added breaded chicken. When he got that, he instead got a salad with just lettuce, breaded chicken, and cheese, with no other meats on it. How can you have an antipasto with no other meat on it?! My mother ordered capellini with sausage and instead received pasta that was broken in half and was so overcooked that it was very mushy and almost inedible. My girlfriend and I came here for the carshow, however it was drizzling out so not too many cars showed up. We were hungry and went inside for some pizza. My first thoughts walking in was this place is really cozy, decorated with lots of festive decorations. As I looked around the restaurant I noticed they had an activities area with coloring books, etc. for the kids. The outside features a very nice and cozy seating area perfect for events. It's clear that this place has an outstanding atmosphere and I was very impressed. I decided to order the Sicilian Pizza, it looked amazing so I definitely had to try it out. My girlfriend had the cheese pizza and really enjoyed it. It was a cute little place to have a nice date night out! The restaurant also has a stand inside with local honey from a farm nearby, I didn't expect to see that, it was a very nice unexpected touch. The Sicilian Pizza was crispy and had a perfect crunch that brought my taste buds to life as a took my first bite. The sauce tasted great and this is sure one of my favorite pizza spots now. I'd highly recommend dropping by and checking it out. Finally a place that puts enough sauce on bbq chicken pizza. Stuffed mushrooms could've been cooked a little bit longer- and pizza could've been warmer but they were both very solid. I've been here countless times and they always do great. If you are feeling for pizza that graces your tongue like the hand of an angel, then come here. The crust crunchy like most of my previous relationships and service is super friendly and ambiance is nice. If you want feel good food come here, they are very reputable and get points in my book. Hoping I find a wife equal to the taste of this food- amazing and lil bit sassy. Update: I am no longer hungry and the pizza is just okay now- it's good when you're hungry but crust is still amazing. We started with calamari for $14.95 which is on the higher side but they delivered a huge portion of fresh tubes in flour... they were extremely good. My husband and I didn't have reservations for our Saturday night dinner. Only two tables were occupied when we arrived around 4:30. We were advised that patrons make reservations so they can enjoy the live entertainment. We sat on the takeout side and that was fine with us. When we opened our cloth napkins to remove our utensils, both sets were filthy. Either they forgot to put them in the dishwasher or the dishwasher was overloaded and it failed to properly wash the utensils. The waitress provided us new utensils upon request. The utensils are placed in the napkins and rolled up. The employee performing the job must not bother to look at the utensils or they are blind. Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us several times. We always order the same dishes so we can compare to various Italian restaurants we visit. Every time I go here there's an issue. I don't live near but my father lives around the corner and he likes it so I always pick something up on the way to him. This review will just be about my last 2 visits to save some time and typing. The last time I was here probably about 3-4 months I ordered 2 cheese steaks one plain only cheese and steak and the other with sautéed peppers and onions. I was told 20-25 minutes. Because of prior mess ups I always check my food before I leave. The gentleman was very nice and apologized. Told me to keep the cheese steak because they would just throw it out and made me a new one with that being said, I waited an additional 20 minutes. But at least they apologized. Today I ordered an egg plant Parm with rigatoni and then gnocchis and garlic in oil(verbally confirmed no red sauce twice on the phone) with a side, Cesar salad, and a kids pasta with Alfredo sauce. When placing the order the girl on the phone, asked what kind of sauce I would like for the kids pasta and I said whatever it came with and she gave me the option for tomato, Alfredo, vodka or oil. I was shocked to think that any of those sauces would be of no additional charge so I verbally confirmed for the Alfredo it would be the same price and she said yes. When I got there to pick up my order, going through the box of food the first thing I noticed was I didn't have a Caesar salad. It was a house salad so I sent that back by the time I got the Caesar salad I noticed the gnocchi's had tomato sauce on it so then I sent that bag and the gentleman who I am going to assume was the owner or manager rolled his eyes when I noticed each item didn't apologize or anything I even said thank you and he just walked away.. extremely rude when it says what I wanted correctly on the receipt. It could've just been an honest mistake in the kitchen but you didn't have to be rude about it. I'm a paying customer(not being a Karen- would just like what I ordered). Finally when I did get to my destinations to look at the receipt, I paid $50 because the kids pasta was $11 plus I had to pay an additional three dollars for the Alfredo sauce which was extremely bland. Just tasted like cream. Needless to say, next time I'm in the area again I'm just going to go to another Italian restaurant. The picture is $15 worth of gnocchi smh. The food here is usually really good, but the service is oftentimes very disorganized. They have either forgotten parts of my order or handed me the wrong order every time. Today was highly disappointing. I was order number 31, and I ordered a Caesar salad with Buffalo chicken. I was hoping for chicken tossed in Buffalo sauce, but I received an absolute mess. There was a watery orange sauce dripping out of the bag, onto my counter, floor, mail, DOG, and clothing. I tried to take it out of the bag and it was relentlessly dripping everywhere, to the point I had to put it in the sink! There was SO much sauce it was disgusting. No need for the dressing on the side either! Each leaf was absolutely drenched in watery Buffalo sauce, which was somewhat unappetizing. The food was delicious. We started with the fried calamari. It was delicious and very tender. I had the Veal Parmesan with a side of grilled vegetable. Again, very delicious. Great food and always terrific service and conversation from Ms. Capp the waitress. Try the meatball Parm sandwich, but be ready to possibly take half home. Another good choice is the antipasti salad. Very good Italian dinners and baked dishes. You can BYOB as well. Nice owners and staff. As you go in, the left side is a more formal dining area, while the right side is less formal but still good for lunch and take out. We got home and realized that there was no wings so we had to get the wings delivered to the house which took an extra 40 min. What a disastrous Mother's Day thanks to Piccolissimo. Called to check on reservation only to be told they were not taking them, so opted to place an order for pick-up and were told 25-30 minutes, sounded reasonable. Upon arrival to pick-up our food we learned that they were indeed taking reservation, obviously the staff was in the dark as to what they were really doing. I soon learned that they were also in the dark when it came to filling our order. ONE HOUR and TWENTY MINUTES later we were finally received our order. One of the meals was to be a chicken parmesan for a child with seafood allergies. Upon arrival home we discovered they had given us a shrimp parmesan instead, luckily their error was discovered before we had to seek medical assistance. After everything to that point we improvised and made due, couldn't bear the thought of re-ordering. Certainly know where not to go any more. I only hope they treated their mothers to a better Mother's Day than they treated their customer's mothers. They don't deserve a one star but had no choice. read more

Worst Italian restaurant we've been for food and service. We waited for over 1 hour and still didn't receive our food. We had an appointment asked if we could just get the food to go. It took another 15 min before we received our food. It was Veterans Day and we asked if they had a military discount. The server asked the manager/owner and he was yelled at for asking and was told no by the owner. The owner continued to yell at his staff while preparing food. The food lacked taste and was not worth the cost or the wasted time. NJ usually has great mom and pop Italian restaurants, this was unfortunately not one of them. read more

I walked into a small, unassuming gelateria/pizza joint, with a dozen pies to select by-the-slice. The menu was daunting, with so many options, but I settled for a slice, each, of the Sausage and the Buffalo pizza. 2 slices and a water for $8. The first bite was divine, as the pizza had a strong crunch and also the surprising chewiness you wouldn't think could be mutually held. I wanted a 3rd slice, but had to act like an adult. I am receiving Chemo. I stopped in for a big slice of pizza,waiting for my blood work. I was wearing a mask because my WBC count was low. The pizza side of the restaurant was packed,the dinning room side had 4 people,I could take the mask off to eat! We went into the dinning room and ordered a whole pizza with extra topping. The waitress came back and said the owner doesn't allow pizza in the dinning room. I asked if she explained my situation : cancer,mask,low immune system etc. ...she said he said no exception! Lived in Columbus for 10+ years now. I visited this place when it was in its old location and it was just ehhh so we rarely went there. When they moved (nearby) to a new strip mall (thats very nice by the way), my in-laws had went and said it was great. So, we figured we would go for dinner one day and give it a shot. The food was just ok. Portion sizes for their Chicken Parm was very disappointing. Kids menu (or lack thereof) was rough as their chicken fingers werent so hot. Garlic bread was just blah. The only thing anyone seemed to really enjoy was the stuffed shells, and that was my father-in-law talking. Considering he likes some off-the-wall places that may explain it. Was also upset that they didnt really have any big tables for parties of 7+ when we sat down. They started pulling things together and clearly the kids werent sure "how to do it". Anyway, we also heard from some friends that their pizza was very good. So, we figured we would go back one day to "try the pizza". We walked in, asked the young girl at the counter for a large pie, and her response was you have to sit down at a table to get a waitress to wait on you. I cant stand that. All I want is a pizza and some water. I'll gladly leave "tip" in the little jar for the folks at the counter if they want, but I dont want to have to sit down with 2 young children, wait for a waitress, etc. to just order a pizza. This seems to be a recurring theme at some places nearby us (Mangia and this other place in bordentown city that i forget the name of right now). Anyway, we walked out never to return. Their pizza on the counter didn't even look that good so i don't think I was missing much. They'll stay in business (been there a long time already) and will continue to do well, but I refuse to give them a $ of my money for just not knowing how to run a good business. When I was there 8 years ago they gave me a pizza no problem. Not sure why they think they are now "upscale" and cant just serve you.
