Been going to Kate & Al's Pizza since I can remember even going to Columbus to shop the flea market outside and inside. They've got a signature way to make their pies, and it leaves you with a delicious, crunchy yet chewy crust all around. Truly impeccable. The taste, the crisp and the overall deliciousness was sublime. I love a cheesy pizza so I was initially taken aback by the amount of sauce on the pies. However much to my sweet surprise, it turned out to be one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The wait for 4 slices was 20 minutes and a pie was about an hour. I opted for the 4 slices and would have waited for the pie had I known about the hype. Very limited seating indoors but in nicer weather, there are benches outside, hence my 4 stars. In fact, there were so many people standing around anxiously waiting for their orders. Maybe a large TV could have been good entertainment? Good thing is that they were fully staffed and although swamped still super friendly and treated everyone nicely. Columbus Flea Market was a treat but this place topped the cake! So here's the simple thing to know about this counter pizza place. If you want a plain slice you will get it pretty quickly. If you want pepperoni in it, forget that, they make you buy a 5 slice half pie. Like putting 2 pieces of pepperoni on your slice is at least a 30 minute wait. At least, I think we waited 34 minutes while dozens of plain slices were handed out to whoever wanted them. They take call in orders also so expect to see like 10 empty boxes on top of the ovens with names written on them that they fill one at a time.(Including your half piece order if you ask for pepperoni on a couple slices) Would take them 1 seconds to just add some to a plain slice and toss it in the oven for a minute but whatever. It's hillbilly nonsense going on at this place. The pizza is pretty decent once you get it. Wet and sloppy but that's their style. This place is in a dirt mall type flea market setting so don't expect more than no frills.examole- instead of dollar store toppings shakers they took old empty baby food jars, drilled a hole in the cap and fill them with hot pepper flakes or oregano or whatever. Made it look extra stingy for no reason, like just walk a few stalls down and buy actual shakers in the flea market. Kate and Al's has a reputation for great pizza. It's not your classic pizza but a unique style of square pan pizza reminiscent of the famous L&B in Brooklyn. The place is located inside the Columbus Farmers market and is takeout only. There are 2 long picnic benches just outside the door where you can sit and enjoy. They primarily sell full and half pies but no matter how you slice it (pun intended) it will run you $2.50 a slice. It's also cash only. The pizza is never greasy and the sauce is made just right and not salty or sweet. I recommend ordering ahead or placing an order and walking around the market because it's typically 45 minutes or more for a pie or half pie. read more

So, this is kind of difficult for me to say definitively but I think this might be my favorite pizza. If not, it is surely in my Top 3.
