La Galleria Pizzeria -- first time here and I was impressed from start to finish. I was looking for a good pizza spot and this place was recommended to me. It's a small hidden gem next to the high school. As soon as I walked in, I saw a great selection of slices and desserts, and was greeted right away and seated. The staff was very friendly. They brought over a glass vase of water and fresh bread, and our waitress provided nonstop, attentive customer service. I tried this restaurant again after three years because I was going with my friend who loves it. It was a slow weeknight, I think a Monday night. I got the early dinner special that comes with salad or soup, entree, and dessert. The bread was delicious (served with oil and seasoning mixture) and the house salad was good. I got manicotti with marinara sauce. It was tasty. My friend liked her salad (blue cheese dressing was delicious) and her meal as well. I forget what she got. My dessert was a small cannoli that I brought home with me. It was pretty good. We were overall happy with the meal and the service. Since we had a good experience, the next time we got together we went back again. The owners and/or employees who are always working there (not sure who they are) from the kitchen to the servers are always friendly and pleasant. The bread is great! The salad is crisp and fresh and you get olives, shredded carrot, and some cucumber slices. The blue cheese dressing is cold and delicious. We were off to a good start. Then it went downhill from there. I ordered the Shrimp Fra Diabolo. I got eight small overcooked shrimp in a not tasty, spicy sauce that was swimming in oil. It was bad. Although this restaurant has several positive things about it, the food is hit or miss. You just never know what you're going to get. There aren't enough good reasons for me to go back again, especially when there are some great Italian restaurants in the area. I'm done with La Galleria. read more

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, and honestly, I wouldn't have expected to find a pizza parlor here given the rustic feel of the neighborhood. But it was a pleasant surprise! The staff were very friendly, and the decor had a nice, cozy vibe. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad, which was pretty good overall. The chicken was a tad dry, and if I'm being picky, the plate was incredibly shallow, causing the lettuce to keep falling off the edge. But the flavors were on point, so I can't complain too much. My son went with pizza and boneless barbecue wings. The pizza looked great, and according to him, it tasted just as good. As for the wings, they were solid, though the barbecue sauce had a bit more kick than we expected. A touch less heat would've been perfect. All in all, it's definitely worth a visit, especially if you're in the mood for pizza with a friendly atmosphere! read more

The salad was fresh and crisp, the pasta Fagioli soup amazing (just like my moms), both our entrees were fantastic (one eggplant parm and one chicken parm), side of pasta was perfectly cooked. Went to the La Galleria last night. Never know it existed. It's in a little strip mall in the middle of nowhere, basically, but apparently word of mouth from the surrounding homes keeps this place popular, as we were asked if we have reservations and the placed filled up quickly on a Saturday night. This is an Italian place, which has the usual pizza takout and eat-in business. It's very small and narrow, but seatingis comfortable and it's nicely decorated with simply but inviting table settings. There's an unoccupied property next door, but if they expanded, it would lose its cozy appeal. Apparently, there are daily specials and several were very tempting, but I saw a dish on the extensive menu that I had never heard of before, orecchiette, which was cooked in garlic, sweet Italian sausage, and broccoli rabe, and round flat pasta, and plenty of garlic. After hubby saw the description he went for this, too. I was a little disappointef because I was expecting to taste whatever he ordered. Everything sounded good and many dishes, for me, were ones I have never eaten. They had three varieties of rice balls and we opted for the Picasso Rice Balls as an appetizer. OMG enough to share, plenty of cheese, and covered in a sauce. I asked the waitress what it consisted of before ordering and she told me it was stuffed with breaded chicken. It was definetely a winner. Soup or salad came with the main. I had the well-seasoned Cesar salad and hubby went with a potato soup. I tasted it and it was good, but not thick like I like my potato soup. The main dish came out in large bowls. By now we were stuffed with warm bread and oil, salad, soup, and appetizer. We both ate half and I'm looking forward to heating everything up for dinner. Hubby declared the dish a winner and I agreed. For dessert we ordered to cannolis as take out. Needless to say they were delicious as well. I also want to say the waitstaff was wonderful, from the greeter who changed my seat away from the door (cold night), to our patient waitress, to the busboy, who made sure we had room on our table and extra paper napkins. They bring you a large cafe of ice cold water with lemon. This may sound crazy but that was the best tasting water I've ever had. I drank the entire bottle, urging my husband to take some, it was so good. I hate to drink plain water, but always trying to hydrate and had no problem doing so. Besides the water we ordered hot tea and a bottled tea drink. They do not serve liquor, but you can BYOB, as several groups had wine and seemed to really be enjoying themselves. We did, too. Great, friendly customer service was the icing on the cake. Even the pizza guys bid us a friendly goodnight. Good food, friendly efficient service - great combination. We'll be back read more

We ended up at La Galleria after checking Yelp for a new restaurant to try out. We are new to the area so we were excited to try out some new places. The location is a mini strip mall and they have a few outdoor tables for when the weather is nice. The inside is on the small side but it was a Wednesday night and not busy when we arrived so no issues there. The staff was friendly and greeted us right away. The service was spectacular. We have a 2 year old little boy and our server went out of her way to cater to him bringing him extra little things to play with and snack on. She was also extremely knowledgeable of the menu and made recommendations for us since the menu is fairly large. In addition to the regular menu, they have daily specials. We ordered and Arancini appetizer special which was delicious. My son got cheese pizza, my husband ordered the chicken parmigiana, and I ordered a mixed seafood pasta - everything was very yummy. I've eaten here a few times and have always had a good meal. It's a BYOB, which works for me and I always looked toward to the complimentary Limoncello. Tonight we ordered the calamari , chicken parm and eggplant rollatini. They were busy and there was only one hard working waitress and by the time we got our calamari, it was just warm and rubbery. My chicken parm was just ok- not how I remember it-- the sauce tasted like celery. Hubs loved his eggplant rollatini - and I agree- it was good. They no longer end the meal with a complimentary Limoncello. I believe there are new owners so this may be the reason. Full disclosure --my go to dish is Chicken Parm so my review may be a bit more discriminatory than others. read more

Let me just start by saying they bake their bread in house and it's served warm and delicious. Cappuccino was delightful served with whipped cream and cinnamon. The pastas are soooooo good! We had chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and Gnocchi Rose both were awesome. The only disappointment for me was the salmon Burrata bruschetta. The bread was too thick for this app it would have been better with a thin crispy bread It also lacked flavor. It needed maybe balsamic and micro greens or lemon caper sauce. The salmon with mushy bread and burratta was just not good we couldn't eat it. I still would have given 5 stars because the other food was so good but when we sent the salmon back uneaten they didn't acknowledge the problem and left it on our bill. Not very professional. Met some friends for dinner here this past weekend and I was absolutely blown away at what an amazing experience it was. From the outside this place looks like your typical pizza joint, super laid back and casual. We shared a bottle of wine (BYOB) and the calamari dolce e piccante along with an order of mozzarella sticks. Both were incredibly delicious and a good serving size for four. I had the chicken Picasso entree with gnocchi and WOW what a treat. The chicken was PERFECTLY crisp and the sauce was incredible. This place was excellent. We just arrived from Indianapolis, and this is our late dinner before checking into our Air BNB. It was overwhelming to walk into at first since a middle school football game was going on behind the plaza. The food here has always been amazing Compared to the many Italian places in/around Bordentown, I tend to enjoy this place the most. The chicken parmesan is great. So are the mozzarella sticks oddly enough. The pizza blows Palermo's out of the water. The only downside is every time I order delivery something gets forgotten. I used to come here all the time in high school and grab a slice of pizza with friends. I haven't really been for dinner since they remodeled so I was in for a treat! I went with my mom, grandma, and aunt around 5:30 so it wasn't crowded when we arrived. They have such an elaborate menu with so many options so I focused on the specials. During the week there is an early bird special until 6 pm that included a list of full-sized entrees to choose from with salad, fresh bread, soda or coffee, and a cannoli for dessert! We all ended up picking meals from that menu and it was an amazing deal! We were very pleased with our choices, which included Flounder Francaise and linguine with white clam sauce. The Flounder had the perfect amount of creaminess and lemon, while the white clam sauce wasn't too oily. The soup we had for appetizer had roasted red peppers, artichokes, and black olives and was very tasty! We were extremely pleased with our amazing service, the exquisite food, and the outstanding portion sizes for the early bird special! It is also BYOB so bring a bottle of wine and some good company.
