It's always a pleasant experience here at Piccolo Mondo. Today was lunch with a friend and some trout almondine. Piccolo remains a nice, low key, all-weather dining location with good and speedy service in the Arlington area.

Their service is great, food is really good. Pasta is authentic and deserves the 5 star review. Couldn't believe I found this place on our way to Arlington concert. Our 5 - yr old ordered a buttered pasta and he loved it so much that he had to lick the butter from the plate LOL. My meat sauce in my spaghetti tasted so good. Meaty but not overpowering. My husband's live his pasta so much too. We left very much satisfied with everything we had. One should try this hole in a wall place. Looks to be famous with the locals as it started to get busy when we left . Their calamari is different and unique but tasty. I love it.

This is an absolute gem of originality and great food! Found this place on a last minute whim and will be back many times. The service was beyond exceptional and loved all of the unique ambiance with the establishment.

What a wonderful experience we had at Picolo Mondo. It's been around for decades and has never ceased to please us each time we visit. The problem is we forget about it since we're not in this part of Arlington very often. We were running an errand in the area, looked over at Piccolo and it fit the bill for our dinner destination for the evening. My wife and I were tired and wanted to experience a nice relaxing meal. We were greeted warmly and in a very professional manner, nothing less expected at Piccolo Mondo based on pasted visits to the restaurant. After ordering our drinks and looking over the menu, we placed our entree orders. My wife ordered the Orecchiette alla Arrabiata, she likes things nice and spicy. I opted for the Baked Manicotti. A breadbasket of warm bread was bought out along with our cold crisp salads. The wait time before our entrees were presented to us was perfect for us to be able to relax, enjoy our salads and have a nice conservation. The piano music in the background was so soothing, it set the mood for our visit. Both of our entrees were delicious, prepared perfectly and served piping hot from the kitchen. Throughout our visit, service was excellent without out anyone of the staff hovering. We both promised each other that we wouldn't wait so long until our next visit. Thank you, Piccolo Mondo, for a wonderful visit.

Nice little romantic place with great food and very attentive waitstaff. The bread and butter is amazing.

I'm glad I tried this restaurant! It's a great place to stop by for lunch during work hours and I saw a lot of people had also done the same when I visited. My brother-in-law said the atmosphere was off and they had a stuffy vibe when he visited but I respectfully disagree! It's a nice restaurant. I saw them removing the linens from each table after guests had finished their meal and I was feeling sorry for the wait staff. That is a lot of undressing and dressing of tables! The food was great! I appreciated their complimentary crusty bread (as opposed to bread being too doughy) and the pasta I had with my mussels had a delightful seafood essence I enjoyed. The Broiled Chicken and Sauteed Mushrooms were very simple but the mushrooms had great flavor! I'll definitely be visiting again.

Some of the best pasta we have ever had. Everything is homemade. Service is impeccable. Live music and excellent ambiance.

This place is hands down one of the best places I've been to in Arlington. The environment is very old school Italian restaurants with live piano playerthat starts at 7. Beautiful place for a date night. I sat at the bar top this evening of which the bartender was amazing to recommend the Rolatine di pollo paired with a Cabernet Sauvignon. Truly a beautiful dinner. I asked the bartender what he would have for dessert and it was a amaretto Kahlúa milkshake. Couldn't have asked for a better meal.

It's very spacious, open, with clean, tastefully decorated indoor and outdoor spaces that could easily accommodate large groups. Service was incredibly welcoming and gracious and attentive throughout the meal. It was a large team that ran like a well-oiled machine. They have beautiful pizza ovens, so I had to try the pizza. I ended up eating at Farena twice during my stay on property, and I tried both the Marghertita and sausage pizzas. Both were excellent! The crust tasted fresh, crisp in the right spots and tender where it needed to be. The sauce was savory, and always enjoyed the leftovers later in the day. I also had the Fritto Misto, which was excellent, as well. Crisp perfection and seasoned beautifully. The only miss was I originally ordered the Cacio e Pepe , and, while the text of the pasta was very nice, the sauce was very very salty. I honestly think it was a mistake.... Like someone accidentally added more salt thinking it hadn't yet been seasoned. My server was quick to swap it out, and opted for pizza instead. Even if I you aren't staying at the hotel, Farena is a great choice for a delicious Italian meal in the Arlington entertainment district.

We had a small Pepperoni Pizza (12") as an appetizer (taking half of it home). The pizza was awesome. Crust was crisp and chewy. Sauce was classic pomodoro. There was plenty of Mozzerella & Parmesan, and the slices of Pepperoni just made us happy. So good! We also had an order of Calamari (fried). The calamari was perfect, crisp fried coating and tender, juicy calamari rings underneath, accompanied by a delicious marinara. My Wife had Moni's Fettuccine Leonardo. She gave me a taste. Wow. Soooo very delicious. Fettuccine noodles cooked perfectly, were served in a sauce of butter, cream, Canadian bacon, sweet onions, ground pepper, and Parmesan cheese. I had the Veal Piccata. It was good, but not great. The Veal scaloppine was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The pasta was a great palette upon which to showcase the Piccata sauce. However, I'm used to much less Piccata sauce, usually EVOO/Butter with dry white wine (reduced), lemon, onion, garlic, Italian parsley, & capers. Moni's Piccata sauce also had what tasted like veal broth with a little corn starch for thickening. It was good, but, I prefer less sauce, and no broth. We had two spectacular desserts, a Lemoncello Cake and a Cannoli. Wow. So very tasty and a great way to finish the meal. Service, courtesy of Austin, was spectacular, professional, and personable. BYOW. Bring your favorite bottle of vino with you, and Moni's will uncork and serve (thank you for reminding me, Nicki!). Reservations can be made for parties of six or more. The owner came by to visit, inquire about our satisfaction with their cuisine & service, and chat for a bit (always appreciated). Moni's was packed. Folks in Arlington know how very delicious their meals are, and what great value Moni's offers too. I cannot wait to go back to Moni's Pizza and Pasta on W. Randol Mill, in Arlington, Texas, for Lunch &/or Dinner. Their menu is awesome, food quality is excellent, meals are delicious & generous, service is incredible, and the price is right too!
