Love this diner/restaurant. It's often busy both lunch & dinner time. You will be greeted warmly but they also leave you to your food & food comes quickly and big portions. I love a pizza place like Joe's. This is the pizza spot of your childhood, if your childhood was during the 90s in suburbia. It's not modern or updated but it's clean, cozy, and home to delicious pizza, pasta, subs, and more. I'm so grateful they offer a gluten free pizza crust but can't help being envious of you pasta eaters... Joe's is all homemade and they all sound sooo good, from the manicotti to the stuffed shells, the lobster ravioli to the linguine with clams, the fettuccine Alfredo to the spaghetti in garlic and oil. Just look at a photo of the lasagna and you'll feel bad for me. BUT I forget any woes when I get my gluten free pizza. I like a Margherita pie, add pepperoni! The toppings are of plenty and the produce is fresh. The cheese is top tier cheesy. I want to only order this pizza forever, but I'm thinking of getting the House Special next time: spinach, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, and ricotta. It just sounds so right, right? Plus I need a meatless pizza moment. Especially if I pair it with the much beloved Chef salad which is covered in big provolone-ham-salami pinwheels, so good! Joe's also makes hot subs, cold subs, Stromboli, calzones, buffalo wings, garlic knots, your classic Italian entrées like veal parmigiana and chicken piccata, and of course tiramisu, cannolis, and NY style cheesecake. You're looking at $17-$18 for most pizzas ($13 for just cheese and $20+ for deep dish), $10 subs, and $10-$15 pasta dishes. Affordable, especially considering quality and portion size. I love this place. It's family run and the guys seem so happy when they see me walk in lol. They always greet me and help me to my car if necessary. I've love their salads and the margarita pizza as well as the spinach rolls. I've ordered the pastas for someone else but haven't tried them myself. They are next on my list. It's obvious that's this is a neighborhood spot and a lot of workers stop here for a sit down lunch. No complaints here - I'm a fan for sure! read more

Joe's Pizza Pasta and Subs is a great family owned restaurant that my friend introduced me to. Definitely holds on to that awesome friendly neighborhood feel. The Margarita pizza definitely was the star of the meal we had. It had very traditional flavors which is always a nice change from most American pizza joints. Ordered a deep dish, received a square pizza with tough crust. Sadly I was recommended this location for its top notch Pizza, but I'd give it a 1 out of 5 for what looked like a standard square pizza (definitely not a deep dish style), and below average taste. Maybe this is a one off, but I think frozen would have been better than tonight's order. read more

I was very disappointed with the amount of meat on the Meat Lovers XL pizza I ordered. For a "Meat Lovers," I expected a pizza filled with toppings, but instead, the XL pizza had large empty spaces where all you could see was just cheese. Please don't cut corners on ingredients--customers should receive what they pay for. read more

Joe's is our "go to" pizza place in Arlington, and for that matter, in the DFW area. I travel on business a lot, and have had pizza in New York, Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, and my favorite pizza is Chicago deep dish, and thin crust. Unfortunately, I cannot get the pizza here, but Joe's offers a great pizza, that is above average in the DFW area, and other places across Texas, and the country. Now Joe's offers a lot more than pizza. They have a full menu featuring multiple appetizers, hot and cold subs, homemade pasta dishes, salads, including a nice variety of Italian classics. We have tried a lot of things on the menu, and we like the garlic knots, garlic bread with cheese, the fried calamari and the spinach and pepperoni pinwheels. When I am in the mood for a hot sub, I always get the Philly cheese steak or the veal parmigiana. both are great. Pizza wise, on New Years Eve, we ordered for pick up the 18" Meat Lovers, an 18" mushroom, black olive, and Canadian bacon pizza, and a 18" sausage and hamburger pizza. All three were great. We finished off with the cannoli, cheesecake, and the tiramisu for deserts and they were good as well. Everyone really enjoyed the pizza and the deserts, and of course we will be back. Gotta give it to this restaurant for the best service ever! I forgot the sweet lady who was serving but she run's all of the tables like a boss. Don't be fooled by the glance of the outside AND inside of the restaurant, the food is absolutely phenomenal. We came for an early dinner and it comes with free garlic knots paired with marinara sauce. This place is actually popular and was almost a full house when we came for dine in. All of the staff including cooks were very nice, the vibe of the whole restaurant was super calm/chill and not loud at all despite the restaurant being small. Food: Small spinach Alfredo pizza $17 - 10/10. Probably the best Alfredo pizza I've ever had, the crust was crunchy and the Alfredo sauce was seasoned well. I would probably order an XL next time since it's only $4-5 dollar more. If you like their pizza there ONLY order XL it's so much more worth the price! Philadelphia Cheesesteak $10 - 8/10. Would have liked it to have more flavor but it's definitely better than the parks mall Philly LOL. The baguette was nice and toasted, we will give it that. Can't believe we haven't tried this place yet. I was just looking through yelp to find a new place to eat. I stumbled upon this cute restaurant with so many good reviews. When we first pulled in, it was in a dingy old shopping center. Walked inside and the place was popping with so many people. Was a bit confused on what to do next, but a nice lady helped us and asked if we were dining in or to go. We said we were dining and the lady said pick any open table. We sat down and the employee was fast to get our drink orders. They even brought out garlic knots for the tables. Let me tell you, these thing can be addicting. We ordered Joe's medium pizza and Spaghetti and meatballs. The pizza was really good!! So cheesy and the right amount of sauce. The spaghetti and meatballs tasted so fresh and good! So, Joe's... It's a little bit deceiving in a way because the outward appearance and the bland name makes it seem like it's a one off mom and pop pizza place. However, once I got my food I realized I had it before somewhere and that got me to thinking. I actually had the same pizza and garlic knots in Southlake Texas. So I did a little bit of investigation, and I looked at the pizza box, this business seems to be related to other Joe's Pizza pasta and subs around town. This is definitely related in some sort of manner to Southlake because the food tastes about the same. Now I do prefer this location to the Southlake because the Southlake was very greasy and the knots didn't really have a taste. This one I did like the pizza and I kind of liked it better the next two days than I liked it the first day. A lot of these places do say they have New York pizza. Well, it's not exactly New York pizza because no one has been able to replicate the exact elements that New York pizza has and what makes it so special. One, New York pizza is a thin crust, but the crust is crispy on the bottom like fire, roasted, almost and then soft and chewy at the same time. The thing is it's not a chewy tough it's a crunch soft Chewy taste that is unmistakable that people try to replicate all around the world and never can do. So while I would love to agree with all the reviews that this is the best pizza going, I can't necessarily say this. It was not bad, but I have to say I'm still in search of the best pizza place. I'm looking for the one. When I say the one I'm looking for the one who is able to replicate New York pizza outside of New York. The one that gives you that big huge slice that you kind of fold. It's a little bit greasy has fresh mozzarella and the perfect chew. The secret is definitely in the crust. Just like a New York bagel. The secret is definitely somewhere in New York. I also ordered garlic knots in the lasagna. This was also where I would disagree with people in that the lasagna wasn't the best lasagna I've ever had. In fact, the Costco Italian lasagna is better than this one, but I have to bake that one. I did have a place and I forget the name and Southlake that I thought their lasagna was really on point. This one was a very orangey red tangy taste and lacked a little bit of sweetness and was a thin type lasagna with just mozzarella cheese, so I felt like it was missing some things that lasagna normally has, and the depth of what would make a successful lasagna. the garlic knots were not soft and were actually better when I warm them up as well. I expected a soft garlic, butter taste, but instead, I just got a sort of tough roll with some sprinkled garlic and a tad bit of butter and this is not what I had imagined once again, because the same as Southlake. So Joe's wasn't bad. It just wasn't great and I'm looking for that greatness. I'm looking for New York in Arlington, Texas, or anywhere in the Texas Metroplex of Dfw. Still try it and see what you think. There were a lot of customers and the guys were super friendly. read more

I personally didn't have the best service, but I'm going to assume it was just me. Looked like everyone else they interacted with was pretty good. The person behind the counter never even looked up at me when talking to me or taking my order, I didn't receive any utensils to eat any of my food, and overall didn't feel welcome. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I got the Tour of Italy and a Pepperoni pizza. The Lasagna was just okay. Not terrible, but not amazing or at least not as good as the other stuff. The Fettucine Alfredo sauce was okay. There was a ton. Noodles just drowning in it. Good consistency. Not to thick and not too runny, buttery but not too salty (actually needed a little more). The noodles were perfectly al dente. The Chicken Parmigiana was the item I enjoyed the most out of all the things I bought. Definitely a buy. The chicken was juicy, salty, and so flavorful. It was honestly hit the spot. The Pepperoni Pizza wasn't that spectacular. Pretty run of the mil in comparison to a decent Italian place. (Not saying it's bad, just not blow my socks off.) I guess they did say "Sorry for the confusion" as I walked out the door, but that was quite a bit after eating a lot of the food. The food itself was pretty decent. I'd definitely get the Chicken Parmigiana again. I doubt I'd get the pizza. And I don't think I'd drive out of my way to stop by, but if I was in the area it'd be up there on the list of places to grab some food. read more
