I really wanted to like this place. The reviews are great and I was excited. Service is great! We had a nice waitress who kept our glasses full and made sure we had what we needed. Ambiance is about the same you would find in any shopping center eating place. The food, just not great. It was edible but I would not eat here again. Especially for the prices they change. Before tip it was 57.00 for 3 people who all drank water. That's about 20 bucks a plate. I'm going to Olive Garden for that price point and eating food that's 10x better. I'm glad so many other people like it, but it's just not for me or my family.

I really enjoy coming to cafe sicilia, the inside always feels so homey and the workers are super nice and friendly. The food is pretty good to me also, I love all their pastas! The only thing is that when I went to the other location or when I went here for the first time when they opened the portions were a little bigger. Other than that everything was great!

I love how cute the restaurant is decorated. They have amazing chicken Alfredo! Our waitress was AMAZING! Definitely recommend trying!

Pasta in basil pesto with sun-dried tomatoes and chicken, red plate: Rigatoni Arribiata(hot) with meatballs. Rolls on the side.

Food was pretty good! I got the pasta in basil pesto with sun-dried tomatoes and chicken. My fiance got the rigatoni arribiata & added meatballs, both meals were delicious along with the rolls they serve before your meal. The workers were all very nice and welcoming. Ambiance was decent, music not so loud, & it was spacious enough for a small restaurant. It's also byob. Would definitely go back.

Nice dinner at cafe Sicilia tonight. Warm bread and calamari to start and chicken Frances and the seafood fettuccine for entrees. Food was solid, nice portions and prepared well. Service was spot on and prices were very reasonable. Nice option for Italian in south Grand Prairie.

It's a really simple favor to yourself. A small cozy Intimate family spot. It's ByOB and very quiet. I don't know Italian much but what I do know is that it was good. The customer service was nice. Nothing over the top but just the right feel for a Monday starting the week. The food was good and wasn't too busy. My family loved it and so did I. The chicken rollitine is what I tried and it was mediocre because the load of mozzerella that I wasn't a fan of.

We got the food to go: salmon toscana, zuppa pesce, spinach and artichoke dip, and fagioli. The garlic rolls were toasted and perfectly buttery. Delicious. I felt the spinach and artichoke dip was too liquid-y and the marinara sauce on the Zuppa pesce had too much garlic. Aside from that the dish was good. I loved the salmon toscana and the flavor of the fagioli. The noodles were over cooked but the flavor was on point. I'd go back to try some new dishes. The restaurant itself was clean and spacious. Staff were pleasant.

GET THE SPINACH DIP!!! The best I have ever had ! So creamy and the bacon in it was the razzle dazzle I never knew I needed. BYOB ALERT! Service was super friendly and they were attentive. Asked more questions to ensure what we ordered was going to be to our liking. I got the Stromboli and it was HUGE! I could only eat half as it was filled with so much meat, cheese, and veggies! They did not skimp out a bit. My friend enjoyed her build your own pasta dish as well! I hope this place stays around! It was a win in my book for sure

The food is amazing. Highly recommend the pink sauce. You also can bring your own wine (they don't sell alcohol).

It was decent. We…read moreare new to the area and still trying out the many restaurants in Mansfield. We were feeling like a salad so we tried Salata today. We both had a small salad. Don't be fooled by 'small' - they're plenty big as a meal for one person. We both had the mixed greens but there were many greens options. Then came a myriad of vegetable options, the cheese, beans and more. Then dressings galore. All of these are included in the base salad price. $9.95 in my case with the small salad. Then came the protein options, both animal and vegan. I got grilled chicken and my wife got grilled salmon. The salads are made in stainless steel bowls. Near the end of the line, they use tongs to toss the salad well with your chosen dressing. My wife had 2 different dressings, both on the side. Then you can choose bread. I chose none. My wife chose what looked like baked of fried pita bread chips. Adding protein to the salads drove the cost by $3.95 (chicken) and $4.95 (salmon). My wife ordered a tea - that was $2.75. With tax and 15% gratuity, our lunch out cost $38.89. Not inexpensive. We both felt the lettuce and vegetables were all fresh. The proteins were great too. She enjoyed her ginger tea as well. Was the value there? This is a close one. I felt it was a bit too spend, yet I did enjoy the meal. Salata for me is a place I will return to, but will not be in heavy rotation. I do recommend Salata to anyone who enjoys a great, fresh salad with lots of options.

When I called to ask for a resolution, the manager on duty was unhelpful and rude. Instead of trying to remedy the issue, she offered to write my name down and give me a free extra salad dressing for a future visit. When I explained that didn't help my currently ruined dinner, she promptly asked me to hold please and then hung up the phone on me. Save your money and go somewhere where they value their customers.

I've been eyeing this Salvadoran restaurant in Grand Prairie, as I drive along Lake Ridge Parkway…read morebetween Cedar Hill and I-20. We took the time to stop today and were well rewarded. We arrived there after lunch rush and our waitress was welcoming. El Limeno is bright and comfortable with easy to read menus and table service. It was a very authentic experience including the need to be a little patient with language comprehension of all our questions. We started with an order of 3 Salvadoran Chicken tamales and an order of Fried Plaintains. The tamals were brought out "unwrapped" but on a banana leaf square. I don't know how they were steamed. The masa was good but didn't taste overtly of banana leaves. The chicken was in large tender chunks and the potatoes were big tender pieces. I love Latin tamals and these were a 4/5. Unfortunately, I wanted salsa with mine and had asked for it earlier. We waited while another group that came after us was served all their food before I could remind her. They do not serve complimentary chips and salsa, which I have seen before in other restaurants but we had only hot sauce on the table. Not my thing. She was apologetic and we ended up with lots of little cups of red and green salsa. The fried plantains were definitely fried until crispy and just a little too dry for me, the sweet carmelized Maduro fan. The crema was a nice touch, though. Fried as advertised a 4/5. My husband ordered the El Limeno Plate. A combo fajita plate basically, it came rockin' and rollin' on a fajita skillet. The side plate was overflowing with rice and beans, a big salad with ranch dressing and two salsas, avocado slices and lime with two homemade tortillas. I knew that I wanted pupusas. They have 10 authentic varieties of pupusa here. They are listed in Spanish, but easily Googled if need be. With our waitress' help, I chose Queso and Jalapeño, Queso and Zucchini and Mixta - pork, cheese and bean - as a plate with rice and beans and a slaw. These pupusas are huge! Just look at my photo! They come out hot, too hot to handle and so I used a knife and fork to eat them with. Three were also too many to order. Seriously. You need a really big appetite. The batter is truly delicious and the cheese is yummy. I recommend getting a meat option for additional flavor. The Zucchini was tasty, the jalapeños were spicy and I enjoyed that flavor the most, otherwise it's a lot of cheese. Their scrumptious beans did make the cheesy ones fuller in flavor. Individual pupusa are $2.99 and a bargain. The slaw was vinegary and cut through that cheesy richness. Cold and crunchy, it also had some darn spicy sliced jalapeños in it. Look out for those! My husband's Salvadoran platter was also a large portion for $17.99. We actually took the platter home. He ate all the delicious rice and beans and salad and that combined with a tamal was a lot of food. I took nearly all of my pupusas home and half the tamals. You will not leave here hungry! There is plenty of strip parking and easy access to the restaurant. We had a good time. ¡Buen provecho!
