We had dinner here last night and it was one of the most rushed dinner experiences I can recall. Far from relaxing. The salads came out immediately. Our entrees arrived before we were halfway finished with our salads and we literally paid our bill at the table with a remote credit card device. We just moved back to Bucks County after five years in northern Michigan where a restaurant like this doesn't exist. Moderately priced decent Italian food. We were exhausted from driving and staying in nearby hotel. They delivered! Yummy divers scallops in lemon butter sauce w sautéed spinach. My husband had the mixed seafood w capellini. I got my fave sautéed broccoli rabe which you can drive for hours and never find in northern Michigan. So happy to be back in Bucks! Piccolo will be a regular go to for us. read more

Wow this place was amazing and definitely deserved the large crowd of people waiting for a table when we were walking out. From our experience we got there at 5 on a Saturday night and if you want a table definitely get here before 6 pm at the latest if you don't want to have to wait to be seated. The waiter was very nice but you could tell they were either short staffed or really busy as at times he was slow to ask us for our orders or if we needed anything else. But he still did his best and I can't blame him since they were so busy for not being able to stop by our table as much as we'd like. Now to the food, this will be quick amazing! I got the pesto penne pasta with chicken and shrimp and I can't wait to eat the leftovers I have today from it. We also got bruschetta and caprese salad and those were so good too. The table side bread was tasty and although I'm not sure what dipping sauce we had with it I could have filled myself on that before our meals came. Only downside here is that it's not BYOB but that is not a huge deal and is something that my fiance and I like about Italian places the best. I can never make up my mind what I am in the mood for when I dine out, but the servers know the menu and can definitely steer you in the right direction. Have eaten here twice and pleasantly surprised both times. Pizza is the best I've had in a long time- we get the Brooklyn style pizza and sub vodka sauce- it's amazing. Chicken francaise was fresh on a bed of perfectly cooked angel hair; incredibly flavor and I ate the entire thing. Just ordered take out tonight, cheesesteak with fried onions, chicken parm, and pizza. Everything perfect, fresh and delicious. One of the best cheesesteaks I've had in awhile. We're happy to have found this delicious Italian restaurant that's convenient and doesn't involve a trip to the city. Highly recommended. read more

Went into the store to pick up a grilled shrimp caesar salad a few weeks ago, (after having it there a few times and really liking the taste of their caesar dressing). That's when I saw them pull this delicious looking pizza out of the oven. I ordered a slice of that too, and OMG!! One of THE BEST tasting pizza's I have ever had! It's their Brooklyn Pizza. First off im a traditional sauce and extra cheese pizza person, not a chunky tomato pizza person, but this pizza was so sweet and delicious, and the mozzarella was so fresh. Everything about that slice had me hooked! I just ordered a 12" today and YES, the exact same delicious taste! This is my new pizza of choice, and my new go to Pizza place of choice. We love the Brooklyn style pizza, it's hard to find a good crispy thin crust with lots of flavor and fresh ingredients around here. The homemade balsamic for the salad is delicious... we love the artichoke appetizer and the sausage and long hots. It's worth it to come just for the fresh bread and homemade dipping oil! They have yummy pasta dishes as well. We are pretty picky about our Italian food, our standards are high.. this place deserves some love. read more

Family always comes here for a celebration. Great food and great atmosphere. It does get a bit loud when they have the live music playing. The food is a bit pricy, so we don't go too often. THE BREAD AND THE DIPPING SAUCE IS TO DIE FOR! It's has a sun-dried tomato base and amazing! I always ask for more! I usually get the chicken parm and it's a good sized portion. BEST CARBONARA I've had in a long time. Absolutely delicious made with fresh peas and creamy. WORST CANNOLIS.... tasted like the shells were fried in dirty/old oil, and the filling was very dry and grainy. I took one bite and threw the rest out. Just nasty. Service was friendly and attentive. Most of my dining experience here is ordering pizza to go. It's excellent! The few times I've been in the dining room have been a very pleasant experience. This is an upscale restaurant - not a run of the mill chain restaurant. I expect better treatment here. See review by Priscilla G. She was generous with 2 stars. Horrible experience! Ordered take out from Door Dash. Bag broke as the driver was bringing to the door. Bag was overfilled. When the driver called was told the 2 meals would be replaced. When the driver got there Piccolo refused to replace the meals! Why would you say you'd replace them? Are also not offering a refund for the 2 lost meals. This is poor customer service! The best part of this place is the service. Dianna is tops! Such a thoughtful bartender and very personable. This restaurant is a weekly stop for us. We had dined at their Newtown location last year and didn't care for it at all, so I was a bit concerned about this location. A lot better than the one in Newtown. Disappointed with the ceasar salad. Extremely very skimpy!!! Hardly any taste whatsoever. The main courses were good...pasta with broccoli rabe and sausage and pasta with meat sauce. Only really "negative" comment was the waiter. He couldn't WAIT to take out plates...why, I don't know!!! Really annoying too. You can't even take a break and put your fork down for a second. My husband & I thought that was just so rude! For a nicer sit down Italian restaurant this is the better one in Doylestown. Love going for lunch the prices are cheaper and you get soup or salad with your entree. The vodka rigatoni, carbonara and pasta bolognese is all very good. The bread and dipping sauce is amazing and so is their house salad dressing the honey balsamic. The service is also very good and the waitress we had was very attentive and never had to ask for a refill. Will definitely be back. read more

I picked up pizza and they got my order completely wrong. It was actually a gift not to myself and I found out a few days later ( the 2 young girls I gave it to were too embarrassed I tell me right away) that it was completely wrong. So I called the restaurant and instead of offering a pizza on their dime to make it right, they said they'd give me $3 measly dollars off of one. I have frequented this place for many happy hours ans gave extremely generous tips. I will not give one more dime to them and why would I pay them more money to make it right. Terrible management as I have also worked in the restaurant industry for years. Extremely disappointed so were the little girls I bought for. What a shame. read more

Ordered take out because we were in the mood for calamari, but totally disappointed! The fried calamari was cold and soggy from being mixed in with the hot peppers. However, the reason we only give two stars is because we watched the owner verbally assault our waitress for having a stuffy nose. The poor girl... How awful and unprofessional of him. Shame on you sir for making another human being feel the way you probably made her feel. And in front of customers no less. They're food is decent and there service is good and on Fridays (which was the day I went) they have a guy singing classic songs for entertainment. Their atmosphere is good as well. Second time here for dinner. The first time was fine. The service was just ok. Returned again tonight and the service was terrible. One of the forks still had food caked on the back of it. Looked like it was not washed. We sat for about 15 minutes with no service while waitress's and who turned out to be our waiter buzzed by without stopping. Finally got a basket with bread. About another 5 minutes the waiter finally stopped by. I ordered a glass of wine with dinner, the soup arrived before the wine as did the entrees. The waiter never returned to ask how the food was, nor with the wine. The hostess walked by and asked how everything was. I told her about the wine and asked to her remove it from the bill.
