Pick-N-Pull is a deluxe auto junk yard. Concrete strips with cars already propped up. Not slogging through the mud like I expected. Their locations have been renamed from Pull A Part. The one thing that got me was a $1 entry fee. An entry fee, please!!! they collect a buck a head, even if you don't find the part you are looking for. what a racket! Fortunately, I came looking for multiple parts for the poor Geo Metro that's been sitting with a wrecked door and fender in my driveway for a couple of years. I found a door and front rock shield, but no corner light or fender. This place was kind of hard to find, there is a dinky little sign on the north side of the street, and my phone GPS / map took me past it to the very empty business lot on the corner. Aside from making sure you look for the sign, you must bring your own tools. And of course look those parts over closely, the first door I pulled off was rusted out on the bottom. Despite the $1 entry fee, it was certainly easier pulling parts off the car sitting on concrete then in a foot of mud. read more

This place is horrible, attempted to buy a 2 foot driveshaft from here today and they wanted to charge 75$ for it asked if any discounts available they called manager out and they somehow re entered it in the system and raised the price. Absolutely ridiculous charging 10$ less for a used driveshaft then it would cost to get when new. Marina specifically has no business working here have had at least 10 horrible encounters with her every time she is at the store overcharging and adding extra fees. Do not come here. Lynnwood pick n pull is by far way better. Or bravens both don't charge the insane prices they charge. Not sure how one location can charge more or if the management is jist intentionally screwing people ? It's ridiculous. Anyway went to Lynnwood pick and pull and got my driveshaft for $25. This is the last place on my list to go for parts. The mouthy lady has no problem screwing you. For example they have their part list. I needed a heater box assembly. There list shows a complete heater assembly 78.99, one would think that would be the entire assembly. Nope! They are gonna charge you for a heater core, a a/c evaporator( and she will argue with you it's a second heater core...its not,), a a/c dryer, a blower motor resistor, a blower motor, and finally a heater box. This complete heater box assembly now costs almost 200 dollars. You can tell them.... But you can't tell them much. read more

We drove here from port orchard, and we usually stop at the Tacoma location. This location is very very clean compared and the parking lot is much bigger. The cars are on cement instead of dirt. Which is nice since you can avoid mud, and see anything you drop easier. It was pretty easy to find, and we would be frequent visitors if we lived closer. read more

Ever since I bought my 1996 Chevy G20, I've been obsessed with junk yarding! I have to say, I've been to 3 pick-n-pulls up and down I-5, and it's simply a treat every time! The people that work there are so helpful, and the organization of the vehicles is really genius. I haven't pulled anything yet - but the prices seemed reasonable... maybe a little steep given it's junk, but I guess cheaper than online parts. The gal that you speak to to sell vehicles there made me wait over 30 minutes while she was on her break. Then after she got back from her break she let the people that showed up after me go first. First time I drove there 40 minutes 1 way she told me I didn't have a bill of sale with the documents and wouldn't except the documents. Drove met the guy had him sign it and came back with bill of sale and the gal wouldn't except the paperwork stating the signature wasn't his when I went and met the guy. I'd give 0 stars if I could. I was donating three vehicles to charity and I was required to bring the original documents to the yard for review. I was met with the most horrible nightmare, dealing with two people that could not have possibly been as stupid as they appeared. I worked in the auto industry professionally for over 30 years, handling tilting with Washington State everyday. When I went to the counter to pay for it we couldn't figure out what it was in the computer so the manager came out and told me it was a ram. So I said I'm sorry but this is called a hinge or a bracket it is not a ram. She yelled at me and told me basically in many words I was an absolute idiot and I didn't know what I was talking about and gave me the worst attitude I've ever seen and I was personally being very polite. This is a review for the Pick-n-Pull in Arlington WA. Overall, I was pleased with the process and service with this Pick-n-Pull office as well as with the tow driver who removed the 2004 Cadillac CTS from our driveway. It was nice to get a few bucks for a non-working vehicle that they came to pick up. You're continually updated through the process and they provide guidance on what's required regarding paperwork and title. A positive is that they will pick up on a Saturday, although you need to schedule in advance. I was called one morning and informed that an upcoming Saturday was available but that they needed the DL number for one of the registered vehicle owners. Rather than hold my spot, they had already given it away to someone else in the few hours it took me to get the information and get back to them. Thus, I had to wait another week for the following Saturday. If you need to get rid of a car, especially one in non-working condition, I recommend Pick-n-Pull in Arlington WA. read more

Like the junkyard, have been to their Lynwood location and a couple others in Texas and Arizona. They have the yard organized well. The staffing is terrible! They had customers exiting the same door as the entrance so there was a huge bottleneck while the actual exit wasn't being used. There was a "supervisor" named Marina that was very rude and not helpful at all. It took me 45 minutes to pay for my item, need some employee training and try utilizing the building!! read more

Didn't think they would take it either but was surprise they offered me $175 for a car that was probably worth $50. They pick it up for free and the deal was done. I took one star away because by motorcycle broke down as as well (just my luck) but they don't take motorcycles. Just leaving money in the table man! But it was excellent service. She did not even let me as a pregnant lady to use the restroom and did not even allow my son a 2 and 1/2 years old to sit in the store while waiting for my dad getting some parts. Mismanaged company having a huge sale and have only two registers open line is out the door for both in and out . The checkers that are working are extremely slow, I'm talking walmart slow defintely suggest going to NW auto recyclers if you need parts. Watch out for pricing they try and force a one year warranty on your purchase which is not required but employee obviously gets a share in pushing the warrantee on unsuspecting customers. read more

One would think that after you roll around on the ground for an hour and take off your own part, that there would be somewhat of a price break. NOPE. I tried again today to give them my business again. But was shocked when I put 2 radiator fans and 4 fender flares up on the desk, dude gave me a total of 140.00. I have always been treated with helpful attitudes and more than fair prices. $2.00 entry fee is not a big deal. The yard is clean and easy to find the parts that are needed. The rules are posted so that you know what is allowed to be done. Good selection of tires and wheels too. read more

Well, this is a story of the little guy getting bought by the big guy. My best friend and I have a number of cars and we could ALWAYS find something to get at Pull-A-Part. We both live in Burien/Tukwila so going to any of the 3 yards is a bit of a drive, but on some days we would hit all three because we had a blast and always came home with something be it a window crank, differential, or a transmission. It was good times when ever we went. We started going in about 2008 to the Arlington yard, but about 2002 for the other 2. When Pick-n-Pull came to town we were not sure what to think. The changes where slow and gradual. First was the core prices that were stupid. A core for a fender? You have got to be joking. However, it was still a good deal. We still would get parts for ourselves and for our friends that are also motor heads. Not too long ago the prices jumped almost double. About a month ago we went to look for some Toyota truck parts. I found a fender that was ok with a little damage and figured it was worth the time to fix. I get to the counter and it rang up to $75 with a core charge (was $26 back in the day)! For the first time I left the part at the counter (and some expletives) and went to another local yard in Kent and got a better fender for $40. Just the other day we got a door for a good friend from a Subaru and it was about $75 out the door with taxes and the environmental fee. That door used to cost $46 when it was Pull-A-Part. We used to go 1-2 times month because they always had something we could buy and justify the 2-1/2 hour drive round trip. We are now going about every 3 months because we have to go with $200 just in case we find that one part we have been looking for when before $50 got a wheelbarrow full of parts. Pick-N-Pull (Schnitzer Steel), is showing it's colors. They care nothing about the customer, only money to be make in scrap. This is apparent with the rows of cars that have NO parts removed. I would have got a complete front end and doors for my Datsun truck if it would have cost me a weeks wage to get them for my truck thats worth $1000. We truly feel they ONLY care about them selves and the money in scrap and this goes for EVERY yard. The workers dont care about the customers. You are losing your customers for what reason?! An "environmental" fee that is really just another 9% tax, Over pricing parts beyond what a local yard is, and expecting people to pay a admission fee on top of it. Take a lesson from the original owners of Pull-A-Part and keep your customers. read more

I love Pick n Pulls, but the Arlington one is bad! Their website is inaccurate, the employees have no job skills (what do I expect for minimum wage?), and the entrance fee has doubled. I drove all the way there because the website said they just got the car I'm looking for, so I raced there, paid the $2 to get in, and went straight to the row listed, and nothing. I looked around and couldn't find it, so I went back in and asked where it was and the guy said they don't have one, it's not on his computer. I said its on the website, and he said his computer is the same as the website and there isn't one on there. What a rip-off. When I got home, I rechecked the website and, sure enough, it's listed as on the yard two days ago and location in what row. That's 'bait and switch' and I'm sure it's illegal. I was almost deterred from going here due to the poor reviews, but I went anyway for a part that would otherwise be a dealer part only. Contrary to some of the horrible reviews, I actually had a positive experience and was assisted by Marina who was nothing like what I read on other reviews. Oh how I wish there was a negative star! Yesterday, my husband and I waited in line forever. He went out to get the core trans and while I was waiting on line, Marina looked through my husband's lunch box. She saw a pack of cigarettes and insinuated that we were smoking. After observing the lack of customer service, I remember telling my husband that they searched everyone except two guys who were allowed to just walk by, after coming from the yard. Also, I understand that not everyone is honest, but to search our property worse than a TSA agent was ridiculous! The lady who rung us up did not know what she was doing. Beware, I recieved a quote for selling my vehicle to pick-n-pull. They gave me a price and I said I would rather give it to charity. She asked me to hold a minute, came back with a higher price. I drove the car to pick-n-pull in Arlington, waited for the correct person to help me. He had me come into his office and finished the paper work. Problem, he said the quote was 43.00 to high and asked if I wanted to still sell it. I said i did. Then I went to the BBB web sight, http://www.bbb.org/alaskaoregonwesternwashington/ and filed a complaint. BBB contacted Pick-n-pull and they agreed to pay me the differance. I waited 3 weeks, nothing happened. I called Pick-n-pull and asked if they knew how long it takes to get a check, he didn't know but said he would contact the corprate office. The next day corprate call my house and said they were sorry for the delay and the check came Fed-ex next day air. It was like they were not going to do anything unless I called and checked on it. It is sad to see how GREED run alot of business. Even for a small amount it feels GOOD to not let big business run over you. Stand your ground because without US they have NO business. The people's attitudes in this place are absolutely disgusting. Yes they might have a neat/large yard but compared to the people in this place, I will NEVER go back here again. My family refuses to go back there to. Two days in a row, and the service was horrible. The supervisor laughed at one of my family members when they asked a simple question, they were degrading, and multiple comments came out of the supervisors mouth and their cashier that were shocking. I couldn't believe they had said! And the supervisor to! "Hahaha we're self service - maybe you'll get lucky with a customer" in a demeaning tone, and so many other terrible comments. And then to ignore us (my boyfriend and i) and go flirt with some other Men. YOU ARE WORKING you're not supposed to be flirting! And just the body language and tone of voice when they talked to you was absolutely horrible. We will never go back, they're not worth our time or money. Best pick n pull in the northwest. Staff a friendly and always willing to help. I've seen people throw tantrums here, but cmon! Treat the staff with some respect and they'll respond in kind. Called twice in two days to inquire about a vehicle on lot- the girl on the phone said it had the hood. We drove 30+ miles one way to get it. You get there and have to pay $2 per person to even get into the junk yard. That thing looked like a turkey after Thanksgiving day, there was almost nothing left on it. My husband had to ask the girl at the counter whom he spoke with on the phone, you told me the hood was here, and she sheepishly replied, 'Oh, it's not there? It was there yesterday, we must have sold it.' My husband replied, "How about when I called today, you told me it was here...". They wouldn't give us any money back, I think it was false advertising. My recommendation- don't even bother going if it has been on the lot more than a week. read more

I'm a local picker and this is one of my haunts. It's relatively small yet it's inventory is stale. It takes weeks for inventory to make it out from their holding pen and into the yard. I have spent over 10k in the past 18mos at p-n-p and have the "loyalty points" to prove it. The staff and service is absolutely the worst of the 3 yards (Lynwood, Arlington and Lakewood). Particularly Ashley Norris and the blonde w/tattoos all over her neck. They have worked there for well over 8 mos and don't even know how to ring up a door panel assembly amongst several other items. I argue with them nearly every time I visit (once or twice a week) over their inaccurate cashiering. I have to ask the manager/assistant to correct their mistakes. Check the part pricing b4 you go. You'll need to tell them how to do their job. 3 weeks ago I saw a man who was paralyzed below the waist. He was practically strip searched in front of a long line of customers waiting to enter the yard. He had no backpack or tool box. I thought Ashley was going to ask him to stand so she could see if he was sitting on something. The worst offense was last week. Ashley tried to charge me for my steering wheel puller. Then thumbed through my wallet(in a small bag), sitting in my tool bag, during a "tool bag check". I was beside myself. I don't think she would have stole from me. There is no contact info for their corporate office or human resources dept. They should get fired or at the very least put on a probation performance improvement plan. Put the front office in the yard cleaning trash and get some people who know how to smile and say thank you. Skip this joint, hit 9, and go to NW Recycling.
