Great service and easy to get to. The place is clean and has tablets for children which makes life much easier. I used to be a fan of this particular fast/casual dining establishment and it had been a while since I've had it. The cashier provided forks and chopsticks and asked if I wanted any soy sauce or hot chili which I didn't need. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes during the lunch rush which is unheard of. I ordered the orange chicken and upgraded to the egg fried rice. Both looked delicious and we're definitely fresh but a bit on the salty side. Note I did not add any sauce or condiments. I ordered lunch special : kids menu beef with brown rice. Orange chicken with friend rice, kungpao shrimp with steam and steam dumplings. Everything is tasty but the problem Is the portion. I have 4 pieces of shrimp and this was the most expensive in my order. I can understand if they were big but no they are tiny. You have to give your customer proportionate food size if you are going to charge them $8 for this. There are a lot of veggies and 4 pieces of tiny shrimp. It's great tasting food but watch for portions that they give you. The location is in a shopping center that has another Asian establish named Saigon Noodles and yet, it still holds its own. The inside decor is bright, airy, spacious and comfortable. The foodie portraits compliment very well to the feel and the only I think would be missing is some music to set the ambiance. But again, this IS a chain spot. The customer service for this establishment is what set it apart from any other dining experience I've had in awhile. The register-girl was SUPER friendly, courteous and well-mannered. She was crackin jokes and helped answer my questions about the menu; making the entire ordering process fun and easy. I had not visited Pick Up Stix since the 2011 sale to a company that has since sold it; the 2011 company treated an employee I know very badly and I was conducting a personal boycott. I intended to pick up a quick bowl at Chipotle to go last night, but too many other people had the same idea. My knee was hurting and I didn't want to stand in the line that long, so I ventured next door to check out the offerings here. The picture of the firecracker shrimp meal cut my eye and I decided to order it. It looked surprisingly like its menu representation. The cashier assured me the shrimp wasn't overly spicy, although to be honest, it did leave my mouth on fire. I was able to finish, though. It was cooked well; not overdone like they so often are at these places. The coating wasn't too thick or gelatinous, either. Just a nice layer of sweet honey and some chili, wok-fried on the shrimp. It comes with brown rice which was fine. I loved the veg medley; overcooked broccoli makes me sad and this broccoli was tender-crisp (or is that crisp-tender?) Either way, there were some nice chunks of sweet red pepper and a bit of nice soft sweet onion. I think I enjoyed the veg as much as the shrimp! Service was pretty quick considering how busy they were. I wish they had mentioned that I was meant to grab my own utensils. My husband told me that is standard, but I never do it, so clearly there are places that pack them for you. The cook, right where I could see him, served me the leftovers from a previous order, and filled the bottom of the container with dry noodles as if they were packing peanuts, in order to make it look like a full order in the box. That's unacceptable, and I will never be back. I can return to a place if they made a mistake. That's understandable and I like to give you a second try. I would like to say that I have never had such poor service at this chain. The young man that helped us was beyong miserable in his position and job. He was medium height, small build, wore glasses, and seemed too be the manager. Let me say, that this review is about him and him only. When we approached the counter he was very matter of fact - May I help you. Ok, no big deal, but it wasn't what he said it was how he said it. There was no warmth to his greeting. He was very frank in all questions, never wanted to help us, actually, made us both feel as though we were bothering him be being there. I was completely taken back by his approach - the scarier thing was he was training another employee. To be candid, I am not the one to get startled when speaking, but I was startled when speaking to him because I was so thrown off on his behavior. Pick up Stix - if this is the type of manager that you have greeting your customers and training your internal staff, I am scared!!!! He is HORRIBLE and if he doesn't like to deal with people, PLEASE tell him to find another career choice. Lastly, the tall black man with dreads - VERY respectful and very kind - kudos to you young man. This location is very disappointing. It's obvious the corporate bosses are on them to save money on every piece of rice or noodle they sell. They are skimping on portions. The manager lied to me about being able to order a side of wontons for our wonton soup. My daughter will not eat anything but the wontons in their soup so I ask for a side of wontons for her. The manager said they do not sell sides of wontons anymore. Then they didn't even put a single wonton in the soup we bought. I believe they were being rude to me and deliberately botched our order. By far the worst Mongolian beef (and meal) I have ever eaten. In fact the entire order was so saturated with cornstarch. Unfortunately, using cornstarch as a thickening agent is common with most fast food Chinese dishes. The overuse of it on my entire meal made it inedible. read more

I placed an order via the app today which is very easy. Unfortunately the Drunken Noodles with Shrimp I ordered (and paid about $2 more) was made as Drunken Noodles with Chicken. Since my husband brought it home to me I was unable to have it changed (note to self...next time tell husband what I ordered). Basically this dish is the Thai Basil Noodles with a new name.
