I like takeout Chinese food and I lean towards Asian food most of the time. However, I was running late for my flight at Houston Airport and there weren't a whole bunch of choices. I asked about Asian takeout and I was told that there was this Chinese place called Pick Up Sticks but it wasn't very good. I thought how bad could Chinese takeout be? Apparently it can be really subpar and expensive at an airport. You had a choice of noodles or rice but no vegetable substitute. The vegetables were considered an entree and the only thing that looked not overcooked was the teriyaki chicken. So that's what I got, extremely dry fried rice, really overcooked string beans, and some teriyaki chicken that I don't even think is a Chinese thing but it was okay for grab and go. The plate in the picture was something like $16.23. Only go there as a last resort. I don't say this often but I really do not recommend this place. I think a cold turkey sandwich would have been better.

Unless you're at the airport in Burbank, CA, going through TSA is very stressful. So how did I decompress after the massive line at IAH? I had lunch at Pick Up Stix in the newer part of Terminal C. I ordered the two-entree plate, which, because of some wires crossed, consisted of the Firecracker Chicken, green beans, and fried rice. Among these, the green beans weren't what I requested. It was a good thing I didn't exchange them for what I originally wanted -- the Orange Chicken -- because I actually enjoyed them. The chicken and the fried rice weren't too shabby themselves hence me wishing there were more of each. And just as I was about to leave to head to my gate, this man next to me had what appeared to be beef and vegetable dish. Damn, I wish I got that instead, I thought to myself. Since the eatery is by a huge set of windows, I was able to see the new facility that's to be the centerpiece of Bush's $1.4 billion expansion project in all its incomplete glory. And yes, I took a picture of it.

This food taste like Cajun Grill if you ever had it. The food was not bad at all. I just wanted something filling before catching a flight and this was good. The green beans were really good.

Service is so bad, uninterested untrain teenagers, looks like a place without leadership Chicken was cold in the inside, so nasty and super salty, rice was super cold and in lumps, the broccoli was warm but over cook, I took a few bites and it was NASTY!!! Don't eat this garbage.

Green beans, noodles, orange chicken, firecracker chicken.

Omg the amount of salt in one entree can make up the food for entire day. DO not go there.

I'm would not recommend, or return. If I had turned-off Wi-Fi, I should have been patient and read the reviews. Alas. Thought I'd try a new to me restaurant. It was worse than Panda Express. The staff were very polite but the food was terrible. I ate several bites & trashed it.

I loveeee this place! I actually used to work here many many many years ago so I know (at least back then) the food is made right here and just absolutely delicious. I loved working here & being able to have access to this food often, since its in the airport duh, you can't really eat it unless you're actually inside the terminal (C) with a flight booked. Anyways, that being said i've obviously been craving the food from here for many many many years. I had a flight here at IAH about a year ago and I walked all the way across the airport for this and it ended up being closed for some reason :/ now I finally had another flight, and this was seriously the most exciting part. I love food obviously. as soon as my husband and I got through TSA we came straight here! I knew my heart was set on general tso chicken & house special chicken with fried rice. when we got there thankfully it was open this time!! But they didn't have house special chicken anymore :( they did however have a new one called firecracker chicken and it sounded and looked amazing so I instead got the firecracker chicken, and instead of general tso I got bourbon because i've also been craving it and just couldn't decide. It was the most satisfying feeling to finally eat this again!! The new firecracker chicken was seriously perfect it is my new favorite kind of chicken. The bourbon delicious as always, i'm just sad I wish I would've gotten the 3 entrees now because I did still want the general tso too in the end :p perfect fried rice too! Hopefully soooon again I am able to fly IAH to eat here again because I have not stopped thinking of that firecracker chicken & fried rice!!

Rotten part of broccoli in day-old steamed vegetables.

Long wait, disorganized but friendly staff. The steamed vegetables were from hours ago, looked old and were partially rotten (see photo). The broth also tasted funny. Hope it won't make me sick.

The flight has been delayed several times, wondering around the airport... After reading the bad reviews, still decided to give a try. The proportion is very small for the combo of 2 entrées. The fried rice is mushy and green bean is old and dry. The taste of broccoli beef is fine.

    Bones in the egg roll!

Bleh. Food was fatty, odd flavors, not very fresh, but kept way too hot in pan. Even the rice was dry and flavorless.

I would give no stars if it were an option. Food was gross, way to slaty and made me really sick! Diarrhea for DAYS. Eff this place.

Oof. Not good. Makes Panda Express come off as a high end meal. Also what's with the portions? Awful.

The perfect place to go if you want to wait 30 minutes for a dish of subpar, cold orange chicken!

Food is terrible. I've had Pickup Stix before and this is the worse. I've had to throw away everything. Panda would have been much better.

The house made saté brought the right amount of spice without changing the broth profile. The Bun Thit Nuong was also satisfying, perfectly charred grilled pork over a bed of vermicelli. The same flavorful pork is used in their Banh Mi Thit Nuong, an explosion of flavor when paired with pickled vegetables and Vietnamese butter. Kim's Pho & Grill is a great restaurant, thought they do close early at 7:30 PM. I've caught it a handful for to-go orders only, the portions are generous and it has been consistently good. This is an absolutely yes for my Bun Bo Hue fix.

The food was very fresh, but the broth was definitely not as flavorful as I liked it to be. I still feel that when it comes to some of the other pho places in Houston this one wasn't ranked number one. Still a very solid place for price, service and flavor. It is a very homey, modern atmosphere. There are different paintings of Vietnam throughout the season hung around the walls. The entire ceiling was a sky painted mural. There is lots of seating throughout the whole restaurant and probably around 50 chairs. They have a parking lot outside so parking should not be a problem. You pay at the counter, so just keep that in mind if you're waiting for the check!
