Don't sell your vehicle to these people. We came the day after the quote and were given a different amount. Asked why and they said because the price is only good for the day of the quote. Showed them that i had recorded the call and that at no time did they state that they just said the prices change daily. Will never sell another vehicle to them. Seller beware. Honestly this is the best junk yard. The cars are where the app says they are and it makes it easier to find the car you need. It is very spacious which helps when you borrow the wheel barrel they lend. They also have portable sinks to wash your hand after! read more

Bad customer service. They treat you very poorly and make sarcastic remarks. This place is just a place where you can get junk parts like anywhere else but they do not offer assistance when you really need it and they offer crappy service. I came here because I need a tire rim for my 2008 Yaris and I had a flat tire about a week ago. That day I was going to Costco to get my new tires. The dealership sells them for 135 each and it is cheaper to get one from a used car parts junkyard. I came here on Saturday to look for one. The security guards in the front were unhelpful when it came to answering questions on where to go. The warranty here also sucks since once you buy it you cannot return it. The online chat service does not help either considering the fact that they do not keep track of inventory. How the fuck do you expect customers if you do not keep track of inventory? It is like going to Costco and trying to get a laptop and they say, sorry, we do not know if we have any. They are a bunch of lazy bums who seek easy money. Do not spend your time here if you can. They charge 3 bucks just to enter when other junkyards do not even charge an entry fee. They will not help you when you need it and they require you to bring your own tools just to get parts. And do not try chatting with customer service especially since they are fucking lazy to look up something for you. read more

It's unfortunate that LKQ adopts such a flimflam approach to operating a business. Why an up to date, interlinked inventory of vehicles at their various yards isn't kept online is mind boggling - especially classic vehicles. The Monrovia facility actually has a large stock of classic cars, but potential buyers have no way of discovering them unless they routinely visit the location on the off-chance their make, model and year have been put out to be picked over. read more

thank GOD! for LKQ pick or own parts i am 100% sure all the other guy's would agree! with me!. long story short' i am a happy customer! always the other day i had a price part issue. when i called customer service i didn't wait long to speak to someone. they took note of my issue! to have someone get back with me A.S.A.P. while they investigate my issue's it turns out i was wrong! and they were right!. i was good with there conclusion they did the right thing by being fair game. let me tell you its all about manager 'Lester' at the Monrovia location in ca. i love this guy! he is all about being on top of taking care of customers. his is a great listener, with patience's, and he also resolves issue's quick and fair at least in my case he did. one other thing i have been shopping LKQ for over 10 years and i never hear of bad remarks from other customers either. only in America... love America she is a beautiful......... to me! read more

been here about 5 times people are unfriendly even the ones who dont speak english. usually have 3 to 4 bmw always stripped down for the most part, there have been times that cars that were on the inventory list were not actually there. never actually find what i am looking for but come across stuff to keep as surplus. Pick-A-Part is about like all of the other self-serve auto salvage yards in the area -- a small admission fee just to walk in, you bring your own tools and you remove parts you want from the junk vehicles. Most of these yards will provide certain specialty tools if you need them (such as engine hoists). No, they don't keep track of what cars they have in the yard, and if your vehicle is less than 12 years old good luck trying to find the same model to pull parts from at ANY of the self-serve yards. These kinds of places are typically filthy and somewhat hazardous, not recommended for anyone who isn't at least a halfway decent shade-tree mechanic and intimately familiar with the vehicle(s) he wants parts for. If you're a hot chick from Pasadena who's never gotten greasy and perhaps a bit bloody working on your own car to save some money, stay away please! IMO these places could do a LOT more business if they would set up an inventory system and have at least one full-time staffer to keep track of vehicle make and models that arrive (and on what dates) for parts salvage, and when they go off to the shredder, and keep that info posted online. They already mark the cars' years and makes in paint-marker on the sheet metal as they arrive, so it wouldn't take much more effort. You'd still be taking a gamble if there's only a small number of cars for the part you need, and if they've been there a while, but at least you'd save yourself a trip if they don't have any cars that fit your needs. read more

what a waste of time . in the past years i have spent tens of thousands of dollars here at this particular yard ( i buy ad sell), the prices have definetely gone up alot . 3 dollars to get in , enviremental fees , taxes , recycling fee plus eveything has a an extra core charge sometimes you actually pay more in fees than you will on a part.i'm surprised lkq has not been sued by the government for it's parts monopoly, they recently bought all of the competition ie; ecology auto parts pick a part , pick your part , u pick u save and countless other self served yards that helped the consumer with conpetitive prices, now that there is no competition LKQ has raised its prices and its admission charge.and They no longer have the 1/2 off sales, they lowered it to 40% and its less frequent.if this isnt a monopoly i dont know what is , i know its illegal and the government doesn't like it,especially here in California. the only way to get a deal is to talk to luis ,he's the only big tall mexican with sun glasses in the yard , he will hook you up but you have to be discreete ,he will take cash only , you will not get a receipt. if the white guy is there he cant hook you up. hes crosseyeded, dont be scared when he takes off his glasses. overall this yard is not what it once was , you should avoid at all costs and check ebay or craigslist for better prices. The only way to get an ok deal is if you are a Veteran but that discount has been slashed aswell , it use to be 20 not its been reduced ro 15% . read more

I've been to this yard and their other in Fontana many times over the last few months. Was just there last week. Their prices are fairly in tune with some other yards but I do agree that their prices on some things is far too expensive. But when you've got an old car and you really need a part you do what you gotta do. It's really beneficial that they put their inventory online. Has saved me a lot of time, money and gas traveling around to find my particular model. The $2 admission is kinda BS especially when you're buying a bunch of parts AND THEN when you do buy parts you actually have to pay tax on your admission! Freaking CA. But like I said I've gone here quite a bit and it's really convenient that the inventory is on their site. Just know that they do not keep cars at either facility for long so if you've got an older car like I do and it shows up in their inventory get over to the yard immediately cause after two weeks that car is likely to be gone and crushed. read more

I have been buying parts for over 20 years and assumed that the environmental fee was a state or federal thing (Which it is) BUT at now Pick Your Part "LKQ" is fraudulently charging their own tax...I just got ripped off for a $48 environmental fee for a motor and tranny and they charged more than on their website and double on one item. They are completely out of control. And it's not posted that the environmental fee is for them not the state which some cashiers claimed, but I asked manager "Mel" at the Chula Vista location and he said that they are collecting it for them. WOW. I hope they get audited and / or sued. I have been buying from them for my Job. They have been ripping everyone off under false pretense. I normally am easy going but it's been getting worse and LKQ is now a Monopoly world wide.
