Customer service is not good. When slow, employees behind front desk are chatting away and it feels like you inconvenience them by interrupting their conversation. When they are busy, they complain to each other about not having enough coverage and the make strong efforts to clear customer traffic, leaving "customer service" out of the equation. read more

I called in to see if they had time today to test the connectors to the battery and the alternator cause my truck wouldn't start. Which they do. They'll also test your starter. The guy who answered the phone told me they only test batteries and if I wanted anything else checked to take it to a real mechanic. I told him they also test other systems and what I needed tested. He ignored me and said I could bring the battery in and they'll charge it for me. I told him the battery was fine, and he then hung up on me... but he didn't actually hang up the phone. Instead I could hear everything as he proceeded to talk shit about me to a co worker. Telling him the conversation that just happened, making fun of me for wanting to bring my truck in to get tested there and how I was "a fucking idiot" etc. Next time you're going to talk shit on a customer, make sure the phone is hung up... asshole. I proceeded to call back twice to get a hold of a manager and tell him what happened, but like little children who are 6 and afraid of getting in trouble... they saw my caller id, answered the phone and then hung it up. His Mexican accent was so heavy, it was hard to discern his name. But I believe his name was hector? Not 100% on that. read more

Needed a battery. Went in with the exact part number. The middle aged failure working the computer refused to just get me the battery based on the part number without me surrendering ten minutes worth of information on the car. The car belonging to my wife's grandmother, I DIDNT KNOW ANY OF IT. I asked, "Can you just not go get me the matching part number I need?" and he rudely told me "that's not how it works here!" At which point, I got pissed, walked to the wall of batteries, pulled the MATCHING PART NUMBER and put it on the counter. THIS JOKER PROCEEDED TO START OVER IN HIS INFORMATION SEARCH. It was when he asked for my email that I stopped smiling politely. I explained that I have cash and he as a product and I would like to conduct a basic capitalist exchange. Thats when the young woman who was working the station next to him told him to "just price out the battery he doesnt want to talk to you!" This winner of life finally just processes the transaction and then looks my wife in the eye, "ma'am how bout I carry this to your car and install it for you" trying to act like big man to my wife?!?! Well, My wife is highly educated, and not one to put up with as much as I tend to, she sternly replied, "If you had listened at all you'd know its not my car, and the car is not here. Just left Autozone with a smile on my face. I did a last min run before heading to big bear and I honestly had no clue what I was doing, but the sweet and charming gentleman Ryan assisted me. Not only did he inform me on what exactly i needed, but he went out of his way to check my car in the freezing cold to measure my tires. Finding out that one item was not in stock in his location he reached out and had another store put it on hold for us to pick up right before closing time. So grateful for his help. I've been to local shops trying to see why my car was dying on me and nobody helped me. So I decided to go to Autozone myself in hopes of getting some wisdom and ran into a front desk associate at AutoZone named Herzon. this guy went above and beyond and tested my alternator, starter, and battery all at once. Within seconds he told me I needed a new battery and so I purchased a new one and he himself even installed it for me! The level of Customer Service he gave was outstanding and unbelievable. The local shops claimed they had so much knowledge and wanted me to pay them money to just check out my car. Herzon from Autozone did everything in seconds and got me back on the road right away! This particular place has slow service, aswell as bad costumer service. If you call they take a long time to answer and put you on hold. When you walk in store no one's around. I was forced to switch from this place to orielleys hoping it would work out better and it did. They need some more fast paced employees to care for costumers happy. I hope the best for this place.
