**Extremely Disappointing Customer Service Experience at H Mart Westminster**…read more I am extremely disappointed with the way my complaint was handled by the H Mart Westminster store. At approximately **5:47 PM** on July 8, I called the store regarding a leaking kimchi jar I had purchased. Instead of helping resolve what should have been a straightforward defective product issue, the employee I spoke with became argumentative and repeatedly focused only on the store's 24-hour return policy. His tone was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful throughout the conversation. I explained that I was not calling to argue and requested to speak with a manager. I was transferred to the manager on duty, but instead of listening to my concern, he stated that I had "already been given the answer." When I asked for his name and requested that my complaint be escalated, he refused to identify himself and abruptly ended the call. I immediately called the store back because I still wanted to resolve the issue professionally. The same manager again stated that I had "already been given the answer." Before I could obtain his name or discuss escalation, he ended the call a second time. My concern is no longer only about the leaking product. It is about how customers are treated when they request assistance. Customers should not be dismissed, prevented from documenting a complaint, or have calls terminated twice when they are calmly requesting escalation. I hope H Mart corporate reviews the phone records, identifies the employees involved, and addresses this situation appropriately. A defective product can happen, but the way a customer is treated when seeking help is what determines whether they feel respected. This experience was extremely disappointing and far below the level of customer service I expected from H Mart.

Finally, I tried this. It should be priced $2/bar or $6/box(imo). Anything higher than that is way overpriced & overhyped. :D

Going to Trader Joe's is like going on SoCal freeways, as you get more experience you just know when to go. I buy all my meat, frozen stuff and lunch goods for making food for the week mostly on Monday nights. I have also been on a salad kick and love the mozzarella and tomato salad that they have there for like $4. The long french bread is another fav of mine. Almond butter, everything but the bagel crackers, honey, dubai chocolate, guacamole, I mean I could go on and on about all the stuff I love there. They also have these "seasonal" or temporary goods, some come back like the Ube Mochi waffle / pancake mix to the freeze dried strawberry yogurt pieces, you just want to try something every time to find your new favorite. Always a yummy selection of snacks/food, here are my favs/essentials: - COOKIE BUTTER ICE CREAM!!!! - cosmic crisp apples - french roast coffee - yogurt (small cups) - salmon (very easy prep!) - organic eggs - freeze-dried strawberries - broccoli & cheddar quiche - rosemary croutons The prices are comparable to other grocery stores (but salad is pretty cheap), but what makes trader joe's stand out is the appeal for smaller households (as opposed to bulk buying @ costco) and the variety of new products Service: The staff is always extremely willing to help, and incredibly patient! The small talk feels genuine and they make the shopping experience more pleasant.

Update 06.24.26: I…read morewould like to compliment another employee (in addition to Erick in the past) who also works at the Meat Department, JAVIER, at store Warner #148 (7101 Warner Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92647). At 9:43 pm PST on June 24th, Wednesday, I went to purchase a New York Steak behind the meat counter. Javier, whom I've met before as he was very patient with a difficult customer late at night several weeks ago, buying chicken legs (I waited 25-30 minutes before I could be helped because of this difficult customer), helped me select a nice New York steak. Furthermore, I asked him to remove the top row of meat so I could see more selections on the second row below, and he happily acquiesced with a smile and no hesitation. Like Erick, who also works there at this location (and you can see the review below this one as I've written one about him in the past), Javier is an example of customer service late at night, no matter who shows up. He is friendly, easy to approach, and has good manners. The fact that he eagerly helps is an indication of who you select to work in the meat department, representative of the entire store. He should be recognized for his efforts! I was only able to get his name this time, as I intended to write in the past.

I've known about Grocery Outlet for a long time but somehow never stepped inside. I guess I always…read morehad that stereotype in my head that if it's cheap, the quality probably isn't great. This past weekend, my husband and I were out for a walk and ended up on Goldenwest. We stopped by JONS Market just to grab a few things to make homemade salsa, tomatoes, canned tomato sauce, onion, jalapeño, and cilantro. After checking out, we noticed there was a Grocery Outlet in the same plaza , so we figured... why not finally take a look? And honestly? I owe Grocery Outlet an apology They carry plenty of well-known brands, and the prices are actually cheaper, not because things are about to expire either. For example, the same canned tomato sauce we bought at JONS was $1.99, but at Grocery Outlet it was only $0.79. Huge difference. I was also shocked (in the best way) to find four different Ning Chi chili sauces (Famous Taiwanese Chili sauce) , all for just $2.99 each, that went straight into the cart. They even had A-Sha dry noodles, a 12-pack for $4.83. For comparison, I once bought a 5-pack at H Mart on sale for $6.99 and thought that was a good deal Other finds: * Arizona green tea (my favorite) for $0.89 - the cheapest I usually see elsewhere is $0.99 * Eggs for $0.99 a dozen (H Mart sometimes has organic eggs at this price too, but only on sale) * Lipton black tea bag, 50-count for $1.99 * A surprisingly large alcohol section with lots of choices The store itself isn't huge, but they carry a little bit of everything: cookware, cleaning supplies, household items, OTC meds, snacks, drinks, alcohol, sauces, meat, cosmetics, shampoo, hair dye, skincare, you name it. I did compare meat prices briefly. Overall, Shun Fat Vietnamese, supermarket market still tends to be cheaper for meat, while H Mart is pricier but usually better quality (worth it when there's a good sale). Personally, I actually found Grocery Outlet easier and more fun to shop than Trader Joe's. With TJ's, a lot of items are store-brand, so you don't really know if it's a good deal unless you've tried it before or seen reviews online. At Grocery Outlet, since many items are name brands, you can instantly tell whether the price is good. They do carry some unfamiliar brands too and those are usually even cheaper. Overall, Grocery Outlet has a lot of character. If you enjoy bargain hunting and stretching your grocery budget, this place is kind of addictive. Walking through the aisles really felt like a treasure hunt. I'd personally describe it as "the Ross of grocery stores" . Grocery Outlet 15412 Goldenwest St, Westminster, CA 92683

I only stopped in because we were already next door at Harbor Freight and I needed a few things for dinner, so I figured I'd give it a shot for convenience. Honestly, the best way I can describe it is very much 99¢ store vibes... but with grocery store prices. From the layout to the way the shelves were stocked and the overall feel of the store, that's the impression it gave me. Pricing felt pretty average to me. Im making a greek style salad as a side for dinner tonight so I grabbed three of their medium Mexican cucumbers for $1, and red onions were $1.49 per pound, which is pretty standard grocery pricing these days. The biggest downside, though, was checkout. Only one cash register was open, and the line was long enough that I almost put my items back and walked out to go to a different grocery store up the street. That alone made the experience feel a lot less convenient than I expected. It wasn't terrible, but it also didn't wow me. It worked for a quick stop, but I'm not sure it would become a regular grocery spot for me.
