They have a great selection of Korean products, along with lots of Japanese, chinese and other asian food as well. They carry so many things so it's easy to spend a long time browsing. H Mart Food Hall Been craving a Korean "hotdog," so I went to H Mart. When I walked in, I was shocked at how empty it was. I almost thought it was because it was Sunday and they closed early. But then I noticed each stall had a sign saying, "Closed; new restaurants coming soon." It was truly sad to see some of my favorites gone. It was so sad to see this Restaurants that are closed: - Paik's Noodles - Yoo's Place - Myungrang Hot Dogs - Tiger Chicken - CHD Korean Dumplings - Jaws Ttoekbokki - Mobobgrin Sooda Express Luckily, Kz Mori, the katsu place, is still open. **Extremely Disappointing Customer Service Experience at H Mart Westminster** I am extremely disappointed with the way my complaint was handled by the H Mart Westminster store. At approximately **5:47 PM** on July 8, I called the store regarding a leaking kimchi jar I had purchased. Instead of helping resolve what should have been a straightforward defective product issue, the employee I spoke with became argumentative and repeatedly focused only on the store's 24-hour return policy. His tone was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful throughout the conversation. I explained that I was not calling to argue and requested to speak with a manager. I was transferred to the manager on duty, but instead of listening to my concern, he stated that I had "already been given the answer." When I asked for his name and requested that my complaint be escalated, he refused to identify himself and abruptly ended the call. I immediately called the store back because I still wanted to resolve the issue professionally. The same manager again stated that I had "already been given the answer." Before I could obtain his name or discuss escalation, he ended the call a second time. My concern is no longer only about the leaking product. It is about how customers are treated when they request assistance. Customers should not be dismissed, prevented from documenting a complaint, or have calls terminated twice when they are calmly requesting escalation. I hope H Mart corporate reviews the phone records, identifies the employees involved, and addresses this situation appropriately. A defective product can happen, but the way a customer is treated when seeking help is what determines whether they feel respected. Ok this place is the biggest Hmart I've been to. The others are smaller and fewer options. But omg the amount of plastic this place uses is obscene!! Nearly every single item is plastic-wrapped! I feel unconscionable shopping here. Almost seems like the variety of what they sell is for college students/si flea or ppl who need prepared food, processed foods or snacks. It's definitely serving its purpose, serving a particular audience, but damn. We need to reduce single use plastics! This is such a nice Hmart! Spacious, clean, good deals. I love their deli section with banchan and fried crab. Their fried crab reminds me of Viet stir fry style in terms of seasoning. I also like the small fried crabs they offer. This is the best place to stock up on ramen, produce, and all the side dishes you could think of. There's even a food court on the side. This Hmart is currently the largest one in California and it did not disappoint. There was such a huge variety in each aisle. There's even an entire aisle for Banchan! The pre-marinated meat section was also large and a huge seafood section. However, the produce was not the freshest. The turnover rate is probably less than the smaller stores due to the variety. Or I went on an off day. There's also a bakery (Tous Les Jour) and a large food court. There was plenty of seating and plenty of choices for food. I'll be back for the food court and pre-packaged goods but most likely would get produce at a different Hmart location. read more

Finally got the opportunity to check this new HMart out. It's in a busy plaza with a ton of other popular shops likes target and daiso. Parking was okay, but can see it getting tough on the weekends. First impression was already a win because of how light and easy it was to push the Hmart cart around! Lol. As soon as we walked in I was shocked at how neat the store was. There was nothing out of place, everything perfectly shelved and organized. I didn't get to spend too much time here, but definitely want to come back because the food court looks amazing too. Hau'oli Makahiki Hou (HNY) 2026! For my first review of 2026, it had to be 5 Star. I finally dropped by the fairly new H Mart on Beach, just South of the 405: I'm happy I did. Ever since 99 Ranch in FV closed a number of years ago, there hasn't been an Azn market in the HB area that appealed to several Azn groups. First of all, this store is massive! Nonetheless, I hear there is a larger store in No CA. This location used to be a Pavilions: There is a food hall (reviews to follow), a huge produce section with all types of mushrooms in a refrigerated case, a big meat section, and of course a fresh seafood section including sashimi. They obvi have Korean dry goods, but they also have Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Thai and Vietnamese ones too. I needed lemongrass for a recipe, but they have things you are not going to see in most markets: Pork leg bones for broth; All types of pork belly; Thick cut short ribs (sorry, I forgot to take pics). The staff is helpful and friendly, including the security guards. In addition, the parking lot is big, they have new shopping carts, and the aisles are wide. I think I found my new Azn market when I don't feel like driving to GG or Irvine. read more

12/7/25 One of the newest Hmart locations in Orange County, well stocked, fairly organized & neatly arranged. As soon as you walk in the entrance, it's filled with noodles & household items (pots, pans, kitchen utensils, etc) Next is the fresh produce aisles & refrigerated items. The produce are essentially diverse for the Asian population, looking fresh & neatly placed for easier shopping experience. Prices are fair, competitive. The meats & seafood departments are impressive, looks clean & packaged well. I was looking for cornstarch & found aisle 8 to have it on the label overhead BUT I looked thoroughly & could not locate it. I inquired from an employee who was not very helpful at all. It only takes one negative experience to dour one's shopping--when staff are not well trained to actually assist customers. I informed her that it says it's in aisle 8 but I looked & it's not there. She replied, "well if you didn't find it then we don't carry it". Yeah, sure, a supermarket that does not sell cornstarch? Common sense dictated that it should be where baking goods are so I went to aisle 6- found it myself! Sometimes, staff forget that it's due to customers that they are still employed. Everything' else was a plus on this trip & it will not deter my patronage of Hmart but it sure left a bad taste in my mouth (at this location). Parking is free & ample. The shopping cart I used had something sticky on the handle, they could use some regular cleaning or perhaps a station for hand sanitizer or wipes. Love the ease of parking, proximity to 405 exits, and how close it is from my car wash this Hmart is. Unlike other Hmarts in the area, the inside is spacious, clean, and well organized. I super appreciated how easy it was to find parking. Can't emphasize that enough. The selection was way better than the ones found in Irvine anywhere. The prices are also decent. The food court had a less chaotic energy to it where I wasn't feeling too stimulated. I can understand how one could easily spend 3 something hours in there. So much to check out and marvel at. I particularly enjoyed taking a look at the housewares. Looking forward to revisiting many more times again in the future. read more

H Mart is hands down the best Korean market around. There are multiple locations, and while this one feels a bit claustrophobic than other H Marts and gets very crowded on weekends, it still delivers where it matters. The store is neatly organized and well-stocked with fresh produce, quality meats, and seafood. The real highlight for us is the prepared food section, both the warm foods and the refrigerated items. There's a great variety of soups and Korean side dishes (banchan), and everything we've tried so far has been solid. From our recent haul: cucumber kimchi, kkaennip (Korean perilla leaves), buchu kimchi (garlic chives kimchi), and pork belly. They were all delicious. As shown in my photo, my wife and I turned it into a legit Korean home-cooked meal, and it did not disappoint. Yes, it's busy. Yes, the aisles can feel tight. I visited H Mart yesterday with my teenage cousins. The store was very large, clean, and well organized, and I enjoyed shopping there. Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience with an employee giving out dim sum shrimp hargow samples. I had already taken one sample, and my teenage cousin wanted to try one before we decided to buy more. After serving other customers, the employee told my cousin she couldn't have one because there were only three samples left (although no one else there asking for sample). The way she handled the situation felt rude and unwelcoming, and it left us very disappointed. I even decided not to purchase the dumplings because of the experience. I hope H Mart will provide additional customer service training so employees treat all customers with kindness and respect. The second grand opening of an Asian supermarket in the OC within weeks of each other. I arrived on the Monday after the grand opening weekend. Formerly a Vons Pavilion and a massive 70,000 square feet. Parking was not bad since it was mid-morning. There were many grand opening specials on fruits, veggies, cookware, live seafood, and marinated Korean meats. The specialty departments consisted of banchan, ready to go meals, and shabu shabu ingredients. Upon departing the H Mart there's a large food market which has 11 full size restaurants where you can dine in the food hall. Food varied on price points depending on your taste but there were good options to chose from. What differentiates the H-Mart brand is that the look and feel of its stores rival that of large American grocery names. The premises are also really neat and clean. This store is huge. The product selection at this location is greater than I have seen in any other H-Mart. If you are looking for any sort of Asian dry good or frozen food, you can probably find it here. This food hall is part of the market that serves mainly Korean fusion food. We visited there on a Sunday around noon and the place was not crowded. There are 9 food stalls plus one that served beverages. We tried the curry chicken cutlet (chicken Katsu). Order was ready after a short wait. It came with 3 large pieces of fried chicken cutlets with 3 different sauces, curry, katsu and a tangy salad dressing. A heapful of shredded cabbage plus a bowl of soup. The chicken cutlet was perfectly fried, tender and moist. The curry sauce was nice and a little bit spicier than the Japanese curry. We also checked out the cafe and bakery on the side of the food court. Of the baked items we tried, the almond croissant was the best. The almond shave topping was crispy and the marzipan filling was very good. The croissant bread was ok, so was the chestnut bread. Prices for everything were reasonable. A nice surprise. read more

Most of the restaurants serve Korean and Asian cuisine, as well as offer cafes and toy vending machines. * Home and personal goods are available. * Plenty of free parking as well, but it can be a little stressful during peak shopping hours. * More fun features include claiming gifts with purchase and/or winning prizes through raffles, food sampling, special item deals, and more. Largest Hmart in California! I've only been to Hmart in CA and AZ. I like to compare it to the one in Phoenix because of the exact layout yet twice or thrice the size. Right when you walk in, if you turn right you hit the food hall. Which has 10-11 vendors with Tous Les jours in every HMart. If you make a left, you enter the one way path of household and cute items. It was like a mini Daiso that leads you into the produce area. Produce and fruits are the same except cheaper. From there, you get multiple aisles of snacks, ramen, freezer, sauces, large selection of alcohol, wine, sake, beer both cold and room temperature. The back wall of seafood, marinated meats, Kim chi and pre made hot food. Short of nothing. The parking lot is too small to handle the amount of shoppers. We parked in on the other side of the lot in front of Nothing Bundt Cake. If you come during this grand opening month, look for the red tents in the parking lot to claim your gifts. read more

Wow! Firstly CONGRATULATIONS on your grand opening H Mart! There were so many congratulatory flowers from many people and business alike, it was amazing. I myself hope this store will be here for decades to come. I'll start out by saying I spent 4 hours here on grand opening day and it was a lot to take in. Although it was a bit hectic, I don't think that will change the fact it's still a Thursday and it'll probably be busier on the weekend. Now that that's out of the way, the food! There are no shortage of any possible thing you would need!!! There are plentiful items to make Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, etc types of cuisines. There is EVERYTHING here; if you couldn't find it, you're simply not looking hard enough. All the veggies were so fresh, packed so neatly and beautifully) there were a lot of great prices as well. The frozen items were plentiful and also packed beautifully. There were many butchers and workers over at the seafood department helping people as fast as they can. If you had a question, you didn't have to turn your head twice to find someone to help you with answering it or to help you with something like grabbing an item off a high shelf. (Especially the older people) I did see the only issue with the grand opening is there were no baskets and only carts being handed to everyone which I understand why. Although this added to the traffic, carts were necessary cause you're gonna end up finding a ton of cool stuff you wanna try.and holding it all by yourself in a tiny basket is gonna be no bueno. There were workers constantly stocking items and cleaning up at every which corner of the store. My word of advice, help people thoughtfully stop and purchase groceries without their full cart blocking the main roadways (gentle reminders to push their cart against the sides and not diagonally in the middle of walkway) It was terrible to see 20 people with carts, can't move cause someone just saw the insane deal on lychee and stopped mid road (1.99 a lb!!) to grab a few bags. My favorite part of this trip were the samples!! There was a few samples and it was great that around that difficult corner to get around to the frozen stuff, which took everyone a long time, they were there to take the edge off by providing yummy samples :) I'm not quite sure if the giant tuna fish cutting will be a special occasion, but seeing how they sell so much fresh fish here, I'm sure they'll be doing it constantly, if not every once in while for the shoppers to see. All in all I would definitely come again since this store is On my way to/from the gym and is extremely convenient for me. I'm not sure how long those free gifts they're giving out is for but I myself copped a nice sturdy pair of cleaning gloves and a sturdy tray after spending 100$ . Wow, the long awaited opening of Huntington Beach. H Mart is here! Like any HR it has a wonderful selection of fresh fruit, vegetables & seafood. Be careful this place is like Costco. You can't leave without spending at least $100 because everything is so cute. They had a grand opening special that you would get free gift items after $50. If you spent more than $200 you could get a bag of rice for a dollar. Silly me. Man I thought who the hell would spend that much for a bag of rice. Guess what this girl. Considering this is a brand new store, shelves were well stocked & neat. Which doesn't say much because almost HMart I have been to is nice. My granddaughter and I explored the court because that's where the bathroom is located. They have a good selection of Korean style food, food stands - even a hot pot!?!!? Once we finally sat down, we grabbed a few pastries from the bakery, a plate of fried dumplings, and I ordered a bibimbap-style Korean meal. My wife and two sons had a little time to kill on the first Saturday this Hmart opened. We walked in, but the store was so overcrowded we grabbed a few snacks, waited in a long singular line to check out, quickly checked out the packed food court and left. I vowed to return soon when the frenzy died down. I returned on an early Friday morning, six days later, at 0800, when the store opened. Shitake Mushrooms...it was unbelievably busy, not frenetic busy, but still really busy, especially in the produce section. Like otther Hmarts I have been too, this one is like going to IKEA. There is only one entrance. Upon entering, you are (using shelving and merchandise) directed to the right cornmer of the store that then leads to the left which is the very expansive produce section. This HMart offer so many different and fresh looking prioduce, including Organioc Koresan Veggies and fruits I have never seen before. Their prodcue prices are either comparable, higher or lower to other local Asian grocery stores in the area, but the quality and variety here was exceptional. Next sections are the fresh seafood and buther meat shops. From here one can splinter off into the actual grocery aisles as well. The seafood I looked at was all fresh looking and seemed reasonably priced based on the freshness I observed. Again there is a really expansive offering of all types of fish, shellfish, prawns and shrimp, crabs etc. along with live seafood for sale. The meat department had a lot to offer, including a huge selection of pre-sliced, trayed pork, lamb, chicken and beef for hot pot cooking. THe food aisles and the amount of skus they keep on their shelf at this store is quite impressive! There was one entire aisle stocked on both sides, of different types of dried, instant ramens. This store carries almost any Korean cooking ingredient one may need as well as many Chinese and Japanese cooking ingredients. The store has a very large, prepared Banchan sections with so many delicious looking side dishes to choose from. Near the Banchan section, in the corner, was an area that had small, brown paper bags under heat lamps. My sister explained to me (after my visit) that those items are Korean Baked sweet potatoes which she buys everytime at the the Bay Area HMart she shops at, and are absolutely tasty. I will have to try them the next time I am here. Service at both the checkout and customer service areas were quite pleasant and efficient. The adjacent food court offers many tempting dining options, Unfortunately during my early morning visit, none of the food court vendors were open except for the Tous les Jours bakery. There were so many mouthwatering offering that morning, and I will have to return to do some purchasing damage here as well soon. Did I mention their vast amount of different types of sake they offer as well? I have never seen such a display in any Asian grocery store before. So EXCITED that H Mart Westminster FINALLY opened on Thurs, 8/7. I've been waiting a long time for this day to come (I think 2 years to be exact). I normally shop at the Irvine locations since the GG location isn't as great IMO. Drove to the grand opening at 9am and it was insane. The lines exiting the fwy to Beach was backed up for a good mile. Took 30 mins to just get to the turning light into the plaza. Quickly saw that the line was wrapped around the ENTIRE PLAZA to the back next to Heil street. Made a decision to not proceed. I wasn't planning on giving up but came back at 4pm and the line was just in front of H Mart. Parking lot was backed up with customers trying to snag any 1st parking spot they saw. I managed to get to the other side next to Target where there were plenty of parking spots. Made it in and everything was clean of course, it's still day 1. It was a bit of a maze setup. One way in and one way out. It's different from the other H Mart stores. I think they can improve or change this after things settles down cuz the set up would be annoying if it stays this way. You would be forced to follow through sections of the store you don't need to visit. Please change this H Mart. Deals were everywhere, look for the crowds hovering around stands, that's where the deals are. The supplies/inventories were filled every few minutes it seemed. Nothing was ever left empty, the workers were working hard for sure. Plenty of H Mart management teams standing around to assist you if you had questions. The meat section was massive just like the Banchans, Kimchis and other refrigerated sections. A little overwhelming if you just need to find a few items. The Snack aisles was probably the largest section of the stores. I guess that is for the KDrama lovers, International Food Junkies and anyone wanting to try Korean/Asian snacks. I appreciate this very much. The Ramen aisles had every RAMEN you can imagine or seen on KDramas...IYKYK. Once you make it around the entire store you get to the Pay Registers which is also next to the Food Hall. I was not able to upload the video for the Food Hall, too long. There are 11 Food Vendors including popular ones like Gong Cha Tea, Tous les Jours (all things bakery), eggcellent, Jaws (Topokki), Mooongri Soondae Express, Paik's Noodle, Yoo's Place, Kz Mori (Handmade Katsu), Goobne Chicken (Oven-Roasted Chicken), Myungrang Hot Dogs and Chang Hwa Dang (CHD Dumplings). I'm so happy Myungrang Hot Dogs is closer to me now. An Ice Cream stall would've been a great addition to the Food Hall. PARKING - Avoid the traffic nightmare and enter at the main entrance and head directly to Target, you'll find plenty of parking there. FOOD HALL - Great picks for everyone. Will definitely be back to get my Korean Hot Dog fix. If you need a cake or desserts for a party, Tous les Jours is your stop. I will come back to try everything. VERDICT - So HAPPY H Mart opened up one closer to where I am. I will definitely be shopping here on a weekly basis since I no longer need to drive to Irvine. The new Hmart is located inside the Pavilions Place shopping plaza. They are having their grand opening deal with free tote, gift with purchase amount, social media giveaway, and lots of sales!! I came 2 days after their grand opening and wowie it was BUSY!! There was a line to get into the store as they didn't have enough karts. My bf and I went to the other side to eat at their food court first. There's 11 different spots to eat! It was packed but we managed to get a seat. Once we were ready to shop, we head to the other side and made our way. Given that it's the first opening week, it was very congested. There was lines of people trying to get through and everyone was trying to get through left and right. Despite the crowd, the workers were on top of restocking the items! This spot is supposed to be the biggest Hmart around and it definitely is! They have kitchen utensils, pots and pans, skin care, beauty products, wide selection of chips and ramen, a big fish and meat area, frozen foods, ice cream, seasonings, and so much more. I probably won't plan to visit anytime soon again as I'd want the crowd to die down, but I'm glad they opened this spot near me. read more

After what felt like over 2+ years of renovating Pavilions into Hmart, the grand opening week happened starting Aug 7th, 2025. I decided to stop by on the first Saturday. Here's my experience from start to end. Although there wasn't a line to get in, the parking was crazy. I did drive around for 10 minutes and ended up parking near the target side more. Upon walking in, lots of employees were out in the parking lot assisting customers. Apparently the carts will eventually lock, but the employees are there to scan the carts to unlock it for those who need to walk further to their cars. Outside there was a membership booth set up with free gifts with purchase. I grabbed a cart and went in and after making a right, the produce department is the first area. Lets just say it was obviously packed. The store is big though and it was very clean. There were also several food sample booths set up throughout the market. The line was super long but it did go by fast. I give them a plus for regulating the line in the front, but they missed the mark with not having someone regulate the line from the back of store. Many people were cutting in from multiple directions at the end of the line and some senior citizens cut right behind me in front of some teenagers. I had to speak up for the people behind me and directed the seniors to the end of the line. In my head I thought, sorry, no special senior treatment today, not with this crazy crowd. Lol Anywho, when I was checking out I did ask what's the special at the membership booth. I was told there was free gift with $50+ purchase but since I only bought $35 worth of food, I decided to not visit the membership booths outside. However, I did stop by the food hall. I counted 12 food vendors including a bakery, gong cha boba, and a handful of other food options. The dining area is not that big as it barely fit all the customers today and navigating around the tables was tight. No carts allowed. Unfortunately, I did not try any of the food but I did take advantage of gong cha's opening week special BOGO on certain drinks. The wait was at least 15 minutes, but that was because many people were ordering. They're the only boba vendor inside the store so they are scooping up a lot of customers who want to cool down with drinks. Good for them. Overall, my experience was okay. If I wanted to take my time to shop and maybe have a meal, I would stop by again. However, I can easily get any of the grocery items here at any hmart or Asian market without dealing with the parking, crowd, and long lines. Nevertheless, it's a nice market and I am sure it will be a staple for this neighborhood for many years to come. read more

Craziness on Sunday but that's to be expected since it just opened. I blame the Wifey for making me come. Just kidding. Looks like it will be a great food and grocery shopping destination in the future once they work out the opening week kinks. Plenty of parking but just like Costco, it fills up fast. read more

Had to come check this out when my sister told me how clean and organized everything was. My family was so excited to hear this was coming in to the area. Plenty of easy parking and lots of variety. Unlike other Asian markets it doesn't have that "weird smell" from all the fresh seafood and produce. The meat and poultry that is marinated and ready to go looks so fresh. I can't fathom how they rotate it out fast enough but sure looks perfect. read more

Went and checked this new HMart out this afternoon. Parking was a nightmare like that new Tokyo Central in Irvine a few weeks ago. Took about 30+ minutes to get in that parking lot and to find a parking spot. No fun. The store itself was like a zoo. Store set up is very similar to the Irvine Westpark store. People and lines everywhere. Not worth it. Prices are usually a bit higher than most asian grocery stores unless the items are on sale. I ended up picking up a bag of lychees and a box of frozen durian so I can pay at the quick checkout lane. I'll revisit when the grand opening madness is over in a few months. read more

It's always a fun trip to HMart with my little fam. My son loves visiting their seafood section because he wants to watch the sea creatures. He's always fascinated by them that he wants to buy one and keep them as a pet. In addition to visiting their seafood section, their produce always looks so fresh, well kept. It's clean. And then the rest of their inventory always looks fully stocked. I could spend hours in here browsing what they have. My favorite section is the Banchan section! I want to grill up some meat just to have kbbq at home. When we head to check out, the cashier is nice. They always meet us with smiles. Once we're done, we head to their food hall to have a snack! Our fave is Tous les Jours! We'll grab baked goods and coffee. read more

It Will Get You Through To The Actual Market Easier. The Entrance To The Left Far Side Will Take You To All The Check-Out Stands & The Food Hall. I Went To Check-Out Stand #10. I Only Purchased 2 Items. The Female Bagger Grabbed The Smaller Item (Sashimi Tray) & Proceeded To Bag It, But Realized I Didn't Ask For A Bag, So She Quickly Handed Me The Tray Lopsided Without Saying A Word. It Messed Up The Styling Of The Sashimi & Some Of The Masago Wasn't In Place. She Had No Expression On Her Face As If She Didn't Want To Be There. read more
