We chose this spot to host our son's 7th birthday party and right off the bat, this place is unique and pretty cool. They have plenty of activities for kids like a little indoor playground section, video games, a jump area with trampolines and pickle ball courts. They also had a section with Nintendo switches for the kids in our hosted area. They cater the food from a local pizza restaurant which delivered pizza, pasta, French fries, salad, mozzarella sticks and garlic knots. The food was actually pretty good too. Now if you are just coming to hangout with your kids, this is a great place. However, when hosting a party there could be some improvements. My wife chose this place and I was designated to do my part which was trying to put up decorations, host the families and help her where needed. Unfortunately she was frustrated with our host and a few other things she wasn't satisfied with. They did accommodate her and comped a few things to keep her satisfied but at one point she yanked the birthday balloons down and said, "I'm so over this place! I'm going down to get a beer!" I'm still giving it a 3.5 because the kids had a blast and it was my son's birthday so it was nothing him and his little friends needed to see. Overall, they did the right thing by try to make it right and the staff was very nice! Later my wife and I played a little pickle ball to get her frustrations out and that was a fun time of bonding. This review is mainly for the pickle ball courts. The costs were high for courts that didn't have proper clearance for sidelines and serving areas. The lighting isn't conducive for play. There is an overhang at each entry point which can interfere with play and serve. Renting the court with your friends is ok but expensive if you choose peak hours. Open play is a nightmare with tons of people walking behind you as you play, crowding the back wall. It's incredibly distracting. The paddle system is set up so you can only stack your paddles between the 2 shared courts. It's a converted movie theater. Great in concept but prohibitive for legitimate plays. The AC was nice and cold which made play comfortable. Registering for open play was confusing and a bit difficult. read more

This place was SO great. Super clean, fun for the kids, had everything we needed in one spot for kids AND parents. Entertainment, food, alcohol, drinks, all in one spot. The employees were awesome, so attentive and helpful. There is an employee supervising each play area for the kiddos (and they actually monitor them and make sure everyone's being safe and following the rules). The owner was great too, he saw my daughter crying because she spilled my soda and was quick to get someone to clean it up before I could even ask. He also offered me a new drink AND an icee to cheer my daughter up, both of which weren't necessary but very kind of him to do. Play areas are off limits to non-paid adults but it was ok because there were so many employees to help and supervise the kiddos and we got to relax a bit. Something for all ages we had kids ranging 3-10 years old and they all had fun. There's tons of seating for supervising adults, which was really great, lots of seating on all areas. Upstairs has viewing areas, a bunch of claw machines and larger bathrooms as well as viewing areas for the activities. The pizza was the only food we ordered but it was good, came quickly (like 10-15 mins maybe) and all of us enjoyed it. We didn't do the arcade but the pricing on it was really good compared to other arcades! We spent about 4 hrs there and enjoyed our time. We did the $45 pass so the kids could do soft play, just be aware that the wrist bands are priced by Didn't do pickle ball but we did look at the courts and they are really nice. Big comfy seating for people to watch or take a break for each court. It's an old movie theater so each court is the size of a typical theater. Air conditioned too so playing in the summer is comfortable I'm sure! Tip, bring sticky bottom socks from wherever you have them, they don't require THEIR socks just any nonslip grippy socks so BYO and save. Also bring a jacket if you're sitting in the soft play area, the air was pumping so hard on that room it was chilly even for being really hot outside. read more

Pickle N Play just had their grand opening on Saturday with speeches and ribbon cutting. To kick off celebrations they offered free pickleball sessions. It was a great opportunity to check out the courts. They offer five main courts that are equivalent to outdoor courts. With some seating areas to lounge by them. Plus there are viewing areas upstairs in the former projector area of the movie theater. Beyond the pickleball areas there are arcades, bouncing areas, concession stand and more to explore. Great area for parties. If you are looking to have a kids party, this could be the perfect location. Plenty of parking. read more

Took the family here Saturday and figured it'd be one of those places where I stand around holding everyone's stuff. Ended up staying like four hours. I'm the one who got us into pickleball, so the courts were the whole reason I agreed to this. They did not disappoint. Got there around noon, barely a wait, played a few games before it picked up later in the afternoon. If you're serious about getting court time, go earlier. My 7 year old could not have cared less about pickleball and bolted straight for the trampolines, which honestly worked out -- bought me and my wife a solid stretch to actually play. The thing that won me over was that there was something for everyone. My kid bounced between the trampolines and the arcade (heads up, load a card and budget more than you think, those machines eat money), and the soft play area is there for the littler ones if you've got them. Covers every age. They serve alcohol too, which I won't pretend didn't help. Had a beer while my kid burned off energy and didn't think twice about it. And the food was actually good -- pleasant surprise, since these kinds of places usually phone it in. We ended up eating more than we planned to. It does get loud when it's packed, but that's about my only note. The staff were solid -- sorted me out with paddles and didn't give me a hard time for being rusty. Already talking about throwing my kid's birthday here. They do parties, corporate events, private stuff, all of it. For us it was just a random Saturday that turned out way better than expected. We had a great time at Pickle N'Play! My kids spent most of their visit on the trampolines, but what really impressed me was how many different activity areas they have to keep kids entertained. Between the trampolines, soft play, and arcade games, there was always something new to do. As a parent, I especially appreciated the seating areas with clear views into each play zone. It made it easy to relax while still keeping an eye on the kids, which is a huge plus. The arcade games were a big hit, and my kids absolutely loved the soft play area. We haven't tried the pickleball courts yet, but we're looking forward to coming back for that soon. The only downside is that it is a little pricey, especially if you're paying for multiple kids. That said, the facility is clean, there are lots of activities under one roof, and it's easy to spend several hours there, so we still felt it was a fun family outing. Overall, we'd definitely come back and are excited to try the pickleball next time! read more

Really bummed with how this turned out. It had such potential. We have been looking forward to this for a while and Simi desperately needs something like this, but just absolutely overpriced and mid quality. You can see this pictures here and this is the opening weekend, completely empty. This is because they are charging $18 to jump on a trampoline, $8 more dollars for their janky "rock walls" and then even more to play in the play zone. They also charge parents FULL PRICE to enter and watch their kids. So for my family of 5, I'm walking through the door for $225. Then you can add an arcade card, which is not even in the realm of reasonably priced, another $100 for my kids and a small selection of games that really isn't worth the trip. Don't even think about food or drinks because you could very easily spend as much here in a day as you would for a season pass to the competition Sky Zone, which dwarfs this place in quality. Even though we would love to stay local, this is a bust. So save yourself the headache I gave myself trying to give it a shot and pass on this place. They will be bankrupt in a couple of months if they don't seriously rethink the prices or add some sort of monthly membership. They just are not the quality or convenience they want you to pay for. read more

I would NOT recommend this place at all! I took my family from out of town here and my niece is a special needs. She has cerebral palsy and is unable to fully play on her own needing parent assistance. The staff was unaccommodating and was giving us a hard time and when trying to explain that my niece just needed a few moments to get used to the space before purchasing a ticket for her to play, and then when she was in the play yard, she was getting assistance to climb up the soft play area and told my cousin (her mother) she is unable to assist her daughter when it's CLEAR she is physically incapable. My cousin felt harassed by the staff, but continuously telling her that she could not help her daughter. After speaking to the manager, they did back off, but the moment of having a good time was already ruined by this young staff that has no experience and special needs. This place needs to learn to adapt with kids the special needs and have rules in place that parents should be able to assist kids not every kid is born normal ... very insensitive! Will never return here read more

Great place for adults who want to play pickle ball and have a safe place for their kids to have some fun. I spent two hours playing and my friend brought her kids. They enjoyed the games! Great family place and I think it would be a great place for a kids party. read more

My kids love Pickle N Play! Love the soft play area for my little and the jumping for my oldest boys. They really enjoy the rock wall and ICEE drinks. It's always so cold in the building which is a huge plus! The staff is always so friendly and eager to help when needed! read more

Had an amazing time with friends and strangers at their Saturday morning open play. It was decently priced for 3 hours of play! The PB courts were clean, soft ground which was easy on the knees, AC was at a great temp, and there were chairs for those who needed to take a break. Bonus: the owner was really nice and accommodating. To be transparent, there was a definite echo, but I'm sure it's because we were a small group. Lights could be a bit brighter, but no complaints on my end because the space in itself was pretty amazing! I'm excited to see how they'll take their open play to the next level with more structure and mixed level groups. Best way to keep this place running is to cater to the PB community. Needed to play pickleball from 9-10 pm because of my wife's work schedule and we walked in At 8:45 to which the staffer told us they were closed. I asked why because it says 10 pm online and she said nobody had come in so they're closed. Never going back read more

We were very excited to try this, the place is very cool and nice but we had some issues. I do not like that adults cannot go into the play area. My son is always more comfortable with me going in to show him around. Second, I understand the importance of safety while playing but the staff felt like fun police. I know they are just doing their job but it made my son feel like he couldn't have fun at all. No running in the play area or trampoline area. No 2 people on the same trampoline. It felt like only constantly being corrected and too nervous to do anything because of the staff watching so close. My son usually loves these kinds of things and he lost interest fast. $96 for the 2 of us. read more

I truly would give only 1 star, however, the owner/manager did compensate us to allow us to switch while holding an infant. Other than that, our experience was very short lived. First, the indoor play gym area for little kids is nicely designed, however, parents are not allowed to go inside with their kids. That to me is a big problem. Little kids want to play with their parents and the area is dark. My daughter who is three was personally scared to go up by herself because it was dark. If they changed that rule and allow parents to accompany their little kids, that would make it better. Secondly, they make you buy their $3 nonslip socks regardless if you have your own. That to me is super annoying. I brought my own nonslip socks and they wouldn't let me use them. Also, their nonslip socks didn't even fit my husband!!!! We bought them and no reimbursement for the socks that don't fit his feet. But he wasn't allowed to go play with her on the trampolines etc because he didn't use their socks. Third, when you walk into the trampoline area they make you and your kids watch a 3 minute video on safety rules. This is great in theory and I can see why they want that, but I will say for a three year old it made them lose interest pretty quickly. Lastly, when we played the arcade games, one of the games took our tokens and we couldn't play. We told one of the individuals and he shrugged his shoulders like "what am I supposed to do" and then didn't give us any tokens back. For $95 dollars.... This was just honestly a rip off. I hope they fix some of their issues since it's a new place and I hope they succeed. But if they don't then they probably won't succeed. Ohh and for people with little babies, beware the music when you walk in is sooo loud definitely over the 90 decibel for infants! read more

We have gone multiple times now to pickle and play one time in the first week and then recently you can already see that they really care about the community and keeping this as an awesome fun hub to have here and simi. Some of the workers are very friendly and helpful with anything you need I love that they serve some snack foods and drinks they have a lot of different options for all age kids I love that there is great viewing areas for the parents even if we don't go in to the jump area there's plenty of spaces to hang out and watch your children play the soft play area is adorable. The one thing I was sad about but very happy that they were quick to change this policy they wanted you to specifically have their grippy socks I frequent play places all the time and have so many different grippy socks I had brought ours thinking we would definitely need them but it was their first week open and they made us pay for an extra pair because it had to be their brand but we were fine with that later to find out now they accept any grippy socks it doesn't have to be their brand but they do have them there if you forget yours or if it's your first time going to a Play place that requires grippy socks. So happy to see some fun family friendly places open up here and very thankful to all the hard work that's been put in to opening this place thank you so much. If the would be some type of rewards program later to open for frequent flyers would be so amazing id love to come more often but the price is a little high depending what you do. If maybe there was a toddler discount (for when all the big kids are ack in school) or frequent flyer program to get discounts would be such a huge help also the Instagram info is amazing we love staying up to date with that ! read more

This place was on my 50/50 list because it seemed pricy. Until I went. My kids had to be dragged out after 4 hours because they didn't want to leave. The staff was INCREDIBLE- a boy got a soccer ball kicked to his face and seconds later he was helped with an ice pack and escorted to his family. They have all the kids watch a safety video before entering the trampolines. Super clean. Just really was so great! My suggestion is to offer monthly passes because it's too pricy to go often at the current rates. read more

Too many rules that keep kids and families alike from having fun. Pay $10 for chaperone to jump with our little ones to just be told multiple times we can't jump near them on the trampolines. But, my youngest is 2. You can pay less ( free chaperone) at sky zone and be able to really jump, interact, and participate with your kids. I'm sure it's great for pickle ball and we will bring our older kids back for that. But, we will not come back with our little ones. Too many far better options out there for them to be free and enjoy having fun with us! read more

Workers don't know the rules. They kept calling the kids not to do certain things. My daughter couldn't be near my 18 month old holding his hand. My daughter fell and landed on her bottom then the worker yelled at her not to sit down. The kids couldn't be kids. They came with their own grip socks and they made them buy their socks. My daughter only stayed about 20 min then left with 6 kids because they were making them uncomfortable. Do not go there!!! read more
