I rarely leave reviews but this restaurant deserves recognition. An absolute gem. Comfortable rustic cottage atmosphere, amazing food, and impeccable service. We visited with a party of 6 and a toddler and had appetizers, dinner, and dessert. Perfection is the word that comes to mind to describe it all. We had an amazing family dinner, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Absolutely loved this restaurant that has big city flavors in a small town super friendly environment. First of all you feel how cozy the room is as soon as you walk in (yes there are some dead animals hanging around the place). Then your immediately hit with the desert case, and those deserts look decadent. Ie: Bailey Carmel cheesecake, French silk pie cheesecake, Salted Carmel bread pudding, just to name a few. Bread and salad were served with my entree and my server mixed my salad table side. Good green mixture with cherry tomatoes and onions all dressed with a sweet vinaigrette. The dressing was delish however I could have used a bit less of it. Blackened chicken pasta was a little different that I expected and beware it is a bit rich and very filling. The chicken was cut into small pieces and mixed with the cavatappi and cream sauce and then covered in a golden brown cheese mixture. The cheese, the chicken, the pasta were all delicious. Eureka! Eureka, Illinois that is...just a half mile outside downtown Eureka is a honey hole of deliciousness. First get a reservation. The place was packed and walk-ins were out of luck. The Ambience was eclectic farm, cabin, and old Trapper which I love (see pics). The service was amazing. As we checked in, no reservation was found, but the manager came over and remedied the issue and we were seated immediately. Our server, Lily was brilliant! She had the menu memorized, made recommendations, and ensured we were well care for. Other servers, managers, and even the Chef, worked together to ensure no guests waited for anything. Now for the food. The appetizers were as eclectic as the ambience. My group chose the corn ribs and Hot Mess. The ribs were tender and the sriracha sauce was perfect. Topped with, of course, picked radishes and greens. Next the Hot Mess was large cubed pepper jack, lightly breaded, topped with a spicy bacon jam, and again greens and Pickled Radishes. I barely got my camera out to take a picture before half were gone! Now the main. My group are sharers, so I tried 4 main courses. Glazed Salmon with Wild Rice, Seafood Linguine, fresh Deep Fried Bluegill, and I had the Pecan Crusted Halibut with Risotto. All were flipping delicious! Mine was the best. The Risotto was perfect, the Halibut cooked just right, and both were seasoned properly. As we finished, Chef Jeff the owner came around delivering sides and meeting with the quests. Who does that?! Finally, dessert. They had a large case in front with all kinds of cakes and cheese cakes. We tried the Raspberry, Kailua and Apple Pie Cheesecakes , as well as German Chocolate, and Flourless Chocolate Cakes. All were wonderful. We found a diamond in a small town. First time here, we were greeted and sat right away. The waitress was amazing!! She recommend some great food off the menu. So we had to try " the hot mess" ( cheese curds in a sweet heat sauce). We were also served salad with homemade dressing ( we had to get a bottle to go! )Then we had the smoked meatloaf wrapped in bacon with mashed potatoes. I had peanut crusted pork tenderloin with seasonal veggies and sweet potatoes mashed. All was outstanding! They have different specials from the menu items. And we could not leave with out trying ( taking home) some of the cheese cakes, wow they all looked amazing!! You definitely have to check this place out. read more

Tried this restaurant on a Saturday night. The friendly hostess got us a table even thought they were packed and we had no reservation. The pork belly appetizer was wonderful. I had the prime rib with Brussels sprouts. Prime rib was perfectly cooked and the Brussels sprouts were delicious. My husband had the brisket which was so tender and melted in the mouth. The couple that was with us had shrimp with homemade chips and fish and chips. Both were delicious. Our server was great as well. We will definitely be back! read more

I've had a sudden triumphant discovery.... My Eureka is the pickled radish Atmosphere- cozy warm inviting and charming. Go to the bar and feel like you are on cheers Service- from the hostess to the bartenders the waitress and the owner we could not of felt more special. 5 star service Food- the musts.... My wife and I went to this establishment for my birthday. We made a reservation and upon our arrival we got seated fairly quickly and the service was spot on! We loved the lightly at the table as you could control depending on the moment. On this visit my wife go the New York Steak and I got the Lamb Chops. The lamb chops was something I don't get and I really wanted to try them. We were so impressed by the food. The lamb chops came out amazingly! They had this jam glaze that just made the lamb chops pop with flavor. We loved the service, the ambiance, and the chief! We had an amazing experience with great food. What a difference twenty years makes! I ate in this establishment about 20 years ago when it was called Chanticleer. Back then it was liver and onions, fried catfish, canned green beans, and bought dinner rolls. Now it is remodeled, clean, inviting, and modern. The menu is upscale but casual steakhouse fare. Here is how it went for us on a busy Friday night.... We had reservations and were sat immediately in the main dining room. Our server greeted us quickly and got us water, drinks, and a plate of fresh artisan buns. We were going to order salads before our entrées, but our server said that the entree's come with salads included. We were not expecting that kind of value. When the salads came out, the server tossed them tableside which was a classy touch. I ordered a ribeye mid rare and it came just that. It was a pretty good cut, too. It had a big rib cap. I did not care for the jus/broth it was in. It tasted of soy sauce or miso. Just salt and pepper is my go to steak seasoning. A couple of my guests had the salmon and said it tasted very good and the portions were large. One of them was on the well done side of perfect. My other guest had the chicken and liked it very much. Our favorite side was the Brussel sprouts. With a little bacon, they would be perfect. The coup de gras was desert. We requested berries and cream as a Keto desert. The Manager or Chef came to our table and suggested that the Crème brûlée would be a good Keto desert. It is debatable whether it is was Keto or not, but it sure tasted good at the end of the meal. It was also great that the owner/ manager / chef cared about our table enough to come and visit with us. Nice atmosphere, great service, modern upscale food. This would be a five if the hostess would smile or was friendly. We had a reservation which I felt she ignored us when checking in as she took her sweet time to seat us. She seemed upset when I asked for a booth and I said the bar area was fine. We were early enough that many tables were empty. She took water to our table while we stood at the door. She then went behind the bar and poured two wine glasses for a different table. After waiting 10 minutes she finally seated us. We contemplated walking out due to her rudeness. However, the bartender, Eric, waited on us at a table in the bar. He was very nice and attentive. He informed us of the specials, took our drink and food order and checked on us several times. The mussels were awesome as was the meatloaf. We dined at Pickled radish Provisions 6-3-25 for a special work dinner. The food was outstanding! Everyone loved selections. Order up that "Hot Mess" quick (you might need two orders). It vanishes. The steaks, chicken, and fish were equally well received. PRP knows how to make sauces taste sinful. If you love brussel sprouts, they knock it out of the park. The serving sizes are not tiny. (Left overs are a plus.) And, they have French Onion soup! The steak lovers appreciated their beef arriving cooked as requested. The ambiance was urban industrial/country. The tables with marketing for local companies adds a little hometown touch. The tables were filled with locals, neighbors, and some who drove a distance to enjoy the delicious menu. The outstanding service was a perfect balance of attentive but not invasive. They added to the specialness of the evening. On a final note- growing up rural about an hour from Lakeshore Drive exit on I-57, Pickled Radish Provisions - I am so excited to have this quality establishment as a "neighbor." Can't believe I have lived in the area for 9 years and this was the first time we went to this restaurant. 5 stars across the board...food was outstanding (best chicken fingers I have ever had and my wife loved the fish and chips)...food came out piping hot...service was top notch from the moment we walked into the restaurant to the time we left. We sat in the bar area and the bartender was busy, but treated everyone very well. Very friendly. Really nice location and well-kept place...a lot of pride in ownership. First time dining here. WONDERFUL! I had the salmon and augratin potatoes. They dress the salad table side and it's great tasting as well. Surprise small town classy steakhouse meets a royal cowboy atmosphere, plenty of space but turned out my first visit became the first time my friends noticed some space! We still made a reservation for our five, was put in a nice comfortable corner table. There is a large bar with closeup seating, enjoyable settings for all sorts of appetites, menus reaching a good chunk of flavors with seafood and some decent values too except for the cocktails were priced hilariously, obnoxiously, seems mixology mixed up to easily double your basic meal ordering one drink. So we ignored and went for the tap list, served up great in frosted mugs! We sampled some excellent local brews. The kids menu was useful for one tiny man. Fries and mac n cheese, good amount of food for the small plates, our dishes showed up in time. Pork tenderloin, swordfish for me, brisket, chicken tenders, seafood pasta, and the sides made an excellent appearance. No fault but for a lot of, would you believe it, pickled radishes, thankfully for me I quite like those. Swordfish wasn't a steak or hardly meaty and thick as I'm used to from other big spots. Was still very easy to eat, chicken tenders made mouth watering incredible eating, and sampling the rest easily earned this up there with Eureka's best. Staff maintained a strong first showing then slowed as the parties showed up, can easily see the struggle for new restaurants, I'm sure they'll figure out a rhythm and adjust to top tier service quickly. After all Eureka only has this and the sublime Wendy Puff to pick between. If pizza is the feel, an easy decision but for steaks, fantastic appetizers like our pork belly, and incredible cheesecake, Pickled Radish pushes for all the votes. read more

Very good lightly fried cheese with bacon jam topping. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the special small cut prime rib with potatoes. Both were very good. We both enjoyed the fresh salad with house basil vinaigrette. The desserts looked great, but we were both too full. We both brought some entree home. We were overall disappointed. The Prime Rib was overcooked, almost hard to cut in places, and lacked aju sauce. The brisket on top of the Mac and Cheese was very dry and hard to chew. Service was just satisfactory. The new decor is good in places, not finished in others. read more
