Great service makes all the difference! Popped by this cute bistro passing through the city with my boyfriend on a Saturday afternoon and ended up on the patio overlooking the water. We were pleasantly surprised by the view and more so, the service. Friendly and welcoming from the get go. We were headed to friends for dinner so we opted to share an app. They had a Brie special on and when I asked about gluten free options, the sever immediately went to check it they had gluten free bread available - they did! Was a delicious app. We also had Ceasars that were excellent! Overall, a great spot. We definitely plan to check it out for dinner sometimes. The meals coming out looked great and smelt even better. Highly recommend checking this place out.

I cannot say enough good things about this place: amazing service, top notch presentation, quaint ambience with water front views and plenty of parking. But the FOOD! If you follow my reviews you know I love food! I opted for the pizza because I love a flat bread pizza and it did not disappoint, delicious crust, tons of toppings and good quality cheese. My husband had the chicken manicotti and omg I was over the top with the flavours: red Italian sweet peppers on top with I think goat cheese then delicious cheese filled manicotti with chicken, I couldn't keep my hands off his plate! My sister got the panko chicken- I am not a chicken fan but this was so good to me so if you like chicken you will be happy! Latte was delish, I love a perfectly crafted coffee to finish a great meal. The menu is rather big with many specials so I was initially thinking "oh please just do a few things well instead of trying to do a million things mediocre" but I was wrong! Go, enjoy, I will be back as soon as I get down to port perry again!

My mother in laws salad was big enough for her to share and even I had a bit of my sandwich left over to give to my husband.

The friendly multilingual staff flip between speaking English and Spanish to customers. They're quick to tell a joke and welcome you inside the restaurant with a ¡Bienvenidos a nuestra casa! Best staff! They make you feel like one of the family! It was a delight to my ears to hear Spanish language being spoken. It was also a delight to listen to the vibrant music played inside the establishment. So many great songs. I heard a Rodrigo Amarante song being played, followed by popular hit songs. From sizzling fajitas, to mouth watering enchiladas, their menu celebrates Mexico's rich culinary heritage. The tortilla chips and salsa were fresh. They charge extra if you ask for another serving. The chicken chimichanga and the chicken* (and beef) enchiladas suizas were great. They were served with rice, refried beans and salad. The pozole was big enough to have as a main dish. It was a fiesta of flavours! Nestled in the heart of Port Perry, this restaurant is a gathering place where friends and families can create lasting memories.

First, let me address items that could be improved... - The starter chips and salsa, while complimentary, are too small. The serving should be at least double the size, and the chips should be warm. However, if you ask for more, they will happily give you another serving. - The desserts, we tried the Sopapilla and the Churros. For the Sopapilla, again they should be warm and rather than drizzle, provide the caramel or chocolate so a person can dunk the pastries. For the Churros, they were over fried, very oily. So less time in the fryer, more light and fluffy. And again, no drizzle, with Churros you want to dunk into the caramel or chocolate, a lot!!! Ok that's it for the improvements. The rest of the experience was excellent. Starting with the drinks... great stuff! Great flavor, great presentation and they pack a punch. For the entrees, we had combo dishes that included enchiladas, burritos and chimichangas... mostly with beef and chicken, along with various hot sauces. They were excellent and good size portions. We've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants over the years, the food here was definitely one of the better ones we've had. The restaurant is on the small side for sure, but the atmosphere is great and the service very friendly. In the summer they have a great little outdoor patio with lots of shade. They have lots of parking and is perfect location if you plan on spending the afternoon in the park or go for a walk downtown.

We walked by this establishment and on second passing by, decided to try it. How could you go wrong with a great street musician playing guitar and violin across the street. The patio was small but lovely with plants and flowers. I had a glass of Italian Ripasso and my compañero tried a couple of IPA's. Service by Ginny was fantastic- a delightful University student! I tried the smash burger on lettuce and my compañero had the bar steak tacos. Both were excellent. I try to stay away from fries but needed the carbs and they were well worth it. Freshly cut with very little salt! The burger couldn't be better - homemade tasting. We made the right choice in what was a difficult decision with so many tempting food establishments around!

Pricing is more than a sports bar less than the keg in line with its intention. Food is more upscale than a sports bar. I had one of the specials which was a chicken stuffed with cheese and spinach as well as fresh veg and roast mini potatoes. See pic. This place is not fast. They cook to order. We were warned it would be around 25 min to bake the chicken. Fresh, fine by me. I also ordered a flat bread bruschetta with feta. The app was delicious fresh. Took 10 min to serve Prepared from scratch. This is not a restaurant you come to dine in a hurry. Service was not rushed and we never felt like we had to turn the table. Chicken cooked perfectly. Juicy. Wonderful. Place because of its construction can become noisy if there is a loud group. We were fine on the night we were there. During the summer there is an outdoor patio with a different menu. Still the same service and quality of food I remember from last visit pre covid.

Normally I don't like baked wings, but somehow they taste like they are fried. Reason they are getting a lower rating is there seems to be managerial/operational problems with this location. I went in to order, staff were in the back talking. Not a big deal, but no one heard me. So after waiting a few minutes, I had to open and close the door again to get their attention. I order pizza and wings with hot sauce. I end up getting an overdone pizza, and wings with honey garlic sauce. These are all minor things, but it makes a difference between a great experience and a disappointing one.

I ordered a pizza and panzo for delivery. It arrived an hour and a half later, and the order was wrong. When I called to advise them that it was wrong I was told that was what was written down, and that was what I ordered. I told them that was not the case as I would never order spicy sausages on my pizza or mushrooms for that matter. I was told by the girl on the phone that I could either get a credit or I could have them remake the panzo and they would bring it to me in an hour. I told her that was fine I would wait the hour for the correct panzo. 10-15 minutes later I get a phone call back from the same girl who advised me I would have to pay another delivery charge for their mistake if I wanted my order . I told them there was no way I was paying for their mistake and that I would appreciate my correct order delivered. She then proceeded to tell me I was in the wrong and that when I had placed the order the girl had confirmed my order twice. This was not the case as I would have told them they got the order wrong. So basically they called me a liar and then refused to bring me my panzo. My options, according to the girl were to come in for a refund, pay for the extra delivery charge or come in and get my own corrected panzo. I told them I would be in for my refund. I get all the way to the store and the girl refuses to give me a refund. Tells me I can take my pizza and leave. She refused to give me a managers name, refused to give me the owners name, refused to give me any information. Essentially they took my money and made me the wrong order and wouldn't give me my money back, that they yet again told me I would get over the phone. I spoke to their 'manager' this morning who in no short words told me to go elsewhere and then proceeded to yell at me and hang up on me. It's no wonder the employees act this way if this is how the manager acts. I would highly suggest they work on their customer service!
