In from out of town and came to this location two mornings in a row. Kept it simple with cold brew and an English breakfast tea. Also had a ham and cheese croissant. Everything was really good. Price seemed in line with what you'd expect. Atmosphere was very chill although it was just when they opened in the morning. Service was friendly and prompt. I decided to find a local café to work and grab a cup of solid latte. Decided to visit Picky Barista because I like a takeout I had a couple of weekends before. Unfortunately on a Thursday afternoon the place was packed. I was able to find a bar stool by a communal high table and decided to stay. It took a minute before I was served. I decided to order the seasonal special, Tiramisu latte with soy milk and two waffle cookies. Can I say it's one of the best lattes I've had of all time... The waffle cookies were alright. They were like sugar cookies baked on a waffle iron. Want impressed. Their cinnamon rolls & buns are worth trying. Loved them the last visit. Met up with a friend here. Love the seating! The décor is also super hip. It was a bit hard to tell where to order. I didn't spot any gluten free pastries, so I just got a drip coffee. There's a little station where you can add your own sugar & lid. I didn't like the coffee lids... I ripped the plastic on mine trying to bend it back. They charge $.75 cents for a milk substitute. This is a nice coffee shop right across the street from Trader Joe's. The vibe is perfect. Small enough for the people who like intimacy, but big enough for people to want to play with their phones a bit before leaving. There were a few people on their laptops, but not too many. I had a mixed bag experience here. I went in on a Thursday afternoon and was shocked at how lax the barista waiting on me was. She definitely was moving like there wasn't a line behind me or as if I had no place to go. It was wild. The first part of my order, a pastry that once I bit into it found out it was still frozen, prompted me to go back in and ask for it to be reheated. I opted for the ham and cheese sandwich and a chocolate croissant, both lightly heated, and idk if it was because I was hungry or what, but they both tasted sensational. For that reason, and the coziness of the indoor space, I will be back. I would recommend that they get some rounded mesh cake covers for the pastries. Flys landing on food is not a necessity in 2023. Went there to grab a cup of coffee and a little dessert. The barista was extremely rude and hostile towards me. She kept on shouting my order while she saw me handling a crying infant. She then screamed at me telling me that we don't deliver the drinks to the table. I didn't even ask her to but she shouted that across the cafe which lead all the patrons to feel uncomfortable. This place allows dogs not to clean, not sure if I should continue this establishment because they allow them to walk freely. I am reporting this. This is disrespectful. Dogs bite children all of the time. This is disrespectful to those who don't own dogs. I am rating them low because of this. I will not come back. Typically quite busy and hard to get seats. No laptops allowed on the weekends as well. Espresso is good but slightly on the more bitter side. Overall nice environment and good place to stop. After shopping at Trader Joe's, I popped over to Peaky Barista where I had the young woman surprise me with a drink!! It was amazing. It was an espresso based drink with notes of lavender. My friend ordered the raspberry lemonade. This lemonade definitely has tart aspects that drift away from the overly sweetened version found at any restaurant but if you don't mind the sour it's definitely worth it. read more

I went in on a weekend with my laptop. I purchased $15 in food and drinks, tipped 15% and had been sitting doing work while enjoying my food and drink for 20 minutes. An employee came if we and told me I needed to put my computer away because they weren't allowed on weekends. I said "I paid $15 to purchase something and enjoy it here, I am a paying customer I should be able to do use my laptop- I'm not taking up extra space or bothering anyone". The employee told me I had to put it away. I ended up leaving and going to another cafe where I was able to purchase food and drink and do my work unbothered. Too bad they have this rule- I would have purchased more food and gone back again. I will not be back. I'm an adult, a paying customer- not a rowdy teen. read more
