    Seasonal Latte

How is it that I've only gone to this place now after 9 months of working in the area! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really wonderful spot, nice vibe. Great place to study or catch up with folks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have to be honest, I'm not sure which iced latte I chose, I just knew there was a mix of turmeric and cardamom! It looked good on the flyer and tasted even better!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Walking into Qahwah House feels like stepping into a coffee shop pulled straight from a dream--a perfect blend of rustic charm, modern flair, and that warm, homey feeling that says, "Yes, you may stay here all afternoon."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor? Fantastical. Genuinely. It's like someone curated a Pinterest board called Elegant Coffee Nook Goals and then made it real.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]And let's talk consistency--Qahwah House never disappoints, whether you're popping in locally or visiting one of their spots halfway around the world. It's comforting to know that no matter the city, you'll walk into the same earthy tones, welcoming aroma, and expertly brewed coffee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This visit, I tried the pistachio latte, and let me just say: it's nutty in the best way. Smooth, lightly sweet, and rich with actual pistachio flavor--not that artificial, neon-green nonsense. It's the kind of drink that makes you quietly nod to yourself after the first sip, like, "Yes. This was the right choice." The pastries looked divine--truly. I didn't try them this time, but their flaky golden layers basically whispered, "next time," and I've been thinking about them ever since. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As for seating, you've got options: cozy nooks for solo sipping, tables for catching up with friends, and enough atmosphere to make you feel like you're in a magazine spread called Artisanal Coffee Moments.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] In short: Qahwah House is a global gem that feels like a neighborhood secret. Come for the coffee, stay for the vibes--and if you order that pistachio latte, don't be surprised if you start planning your next visit before you finish your cup.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Tons of seating and has an upstairs with more seating![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great wifi so it's not surprising that there were plenty of students working here on the weekend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The chai is SO GOOD. strong and rich. I tried their pastry which was flaky layers with honey, not too sweet but fun to try! probably will not get it again. Wish this place was closer to me so I could frequent!

Stopped here for a quick bite after my workout. I loved their play on the iced brown sugar shaken espresso - super delish but def on the sweeter side.

I was in the area and needed coffee and the line WASN'T out the door so I came in. What a gem! They had intriguing coffee flavors and also a seasonal menu, so I tried one of those. You can order coffee hot or iced. I also tried a pastry. The cashier was very helpful. He advised the person in front of me about different types of teas. He asked me if I was a student and I said, "Not anymore!" and he gave me the student discount anyway. So nice! The coffee was delicious, so was the pastry, and the ginger shot was healthy and I'm glad they have water available with small cups because I needed it after the ginger shot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is plenty of seating and a bathroom in the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I loved my experience here.

Bustling cafe serving up Yemeni style teas, coffees, and desserts. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe is surprisingly spacious with seating on both first and second floors, which makes it a great spot to catch up with friends, study, or get some work done.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We loved that we could order a pot of chai to share based off of their recommended serving size (their large pot is meant to serve 3-4 people, which was spot on). We tried the Adeni Chai and it was delicious - it's a strong, rich milk tea spiced with cardamom and nutmeg. The chai was great on its own but would also go nicely with a sweet treat. Overall a nice little cafe, will have to try their coffees next time!

Came here with a friend while visiting New York. He had said he passed this place all the time but had yet to be inside so why not check it out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was firstly taken with the interior! More traditional coffee house vibe than a lot of places are today. They had tons of cozy seating, warm light, tables with enough space to do work, downstairs and upstairs seating, etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also loved that people were happily socializing and it was a nice volume, rather than dead quiet or overwhelmingly loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My only issue was the wait time. I ordered a strawberry matcha, which came out the perfect texture and bitterness of the matcha paired with the sweetness of the strawberry mixture, BUT it took over ten minutes to come out. They give you a buzzer after you order and an ETA but it took both longer than estimated. My friend loved his coffee, and will be back, but definitely a place to avoid if you're in a rush!

September 2024 Food/Pricing - Adeni Chai - absolutely delicious. Would definitely order it again. Service/Ambiance - The places plenty of seating and from what I saw two floors. It can get pretty packed as people are studying or just hanging out to enjoy some tea. The staff are super nice and patient. They were very informative when it came to explaining their drinks and quick to accommodate if you needed adjustments with your drink. Highly recommend this place!

IYKYK what a gem this Yemeni tea and coffee house is. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nestled on the west side of Broadway in Morningside Heights, this surprisingly spacious two-floor establishment is manned by hard-working and respectful workers, serving up Middle-Eastern beverages and sweet and savory pastries.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You're given a light-up coaster to alert you when your order is ready so there's no one yelling out your name like a savage. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's pin-drop quiet on both floors during off-peak hours despite all the people who use this place as a remote working location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The free wifi is reliable and there's plenty of tables, seating, and outlets.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Soothing Yemeni music piped throughout the first level and thoughtful adornments give an exotic-getaway vibe without feeling contrived.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely check this place out!

Yemen coffee house. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The smell of spices and the Middle Eastern music transport you from the bustle of NYC for a moment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pistachio latte is amazing. They offer a variety of traditional savory and sweet Middle Eastern breads and pastries.

Bánh is a great Vietnamese spot in Manhattan Valley and definitely worth checking out. The…read morerestaurant is casual yet cozy, and there is almost always a wait on weekends when it opens. You have to go in person to join the waitlist, and the staff will not seat you unless your full party is there. It is always fun going on the weekend because they have specialty menu items. The food is consistently tasty and served very quickly. A few highlights include: - Banh Chung | Crispy Rice Cake: A solid starter to share among two to four people. The texture is chewy with a light crispiness on the outside. There is also a vegetarian option. - Vegetarian Curry: A savory yellow curry made with a coconut milk base. Really appreciate the variety of seasonal vegetables included. - Bun Ca Hai Phong | Fried Fish and Tomato Noodle Soup: Highly recommend getting this during the weekend! A nice alternative to the typical meat-based dishes. The tilapia is lightly fried, so the tomato broth does not become overly heavy, and the dill helps cut through any extra oil to balance out the flavors. - The beef noodle soups are also very good, but are more classic options. The rice platters are great to share since the portions are generously sized. The staff are always friendly and helpful throughout the meal. Service is very fast, especially considering the restaurant has always been full.

This place is pretty good for NYC Vietnamese food!! Skip the pho, get the noodle dishes!…read more We did walk in and only waited 20 minutes. The inside was cute and cozy - a true mom and pop shop. When we left, the whole family showed up and was eating together which was super cute. For the food, I would say skip the pho - it was okay. But the bun thit nuong was pretty good!! The fish sauce was a little on the sweeter side but with the egg rolls, the noodles, and the grilled pork, it was so fresh and delicious. It's one of my favorite Viet dishes and it didn't disappoint. The viet iced coffee was also pretty good for New York! I want to come back to try their banh mí!

Another cafe for the win!…read more I have to say the first time i visited this business I was unsure I was going to like it. It turned out I did and ever since I have been enjoying their food/beverages. One of my favorite foods are (some) of the mochi donuts and the chicken sandwuches. If you are a food junkie and love donuts, Cloud Touch makes it twice a day and possibly more if it's busy. Brooklyn Roasting company coffee is a bonus for me since I love the taste of this brand. If you do not like your coffee strong, suggest just one shot of expresso or two (expresso shots varies by the cup size). The service in this establishment is friendly and attentive to the order you place. You get a discount when you pay with cash. Paying with card has an additional fee. There is a seating area inside the cafe as well as outside. The indoor seating has a bench and two round coffee table. The outdoor seating is wonderful for when the weather is warm. But, the plus is that there is outdoor seating year round. With so many cafes in New York City, this one is small yet stands out in its unique way.

Cute egg sandwich place. Loved the interior and design choices; it's very aesthetically pleasing…read more It's tiny inside and no bathroom (basically just a bench to sit on while you wait for your food), although there's an outdoor seating area, so it's best to grab and go. No phone orders either. It's about $9 for a sandwich, so not cheap, but there's lots of seasonal/combo promos and sales, and 10% off for paying in cash. They also sell Korean corndogs, katsu sandos, mochi donuts, and coffee/drinks. We got a pork sausage/cheese egg sandwich, and while I loved it (it's thick, fluffy, savory and very filling), it tasted basically like an elevated Egg McMuffin - no disrespect either since I consider it a compliment lol. Not the most spectacular food nor the best value, but it'll do in a pinch for a quick and tasty breakfast or lunch! I'd return whenever I'm hungry and in the area.
