Don't be put off by the outside! Literally the best donuts and milk tea I have ever had !!! Donuts so big and fluffy !! And super fresh.

Tiny, but mighty! Anything you could ask for. Bagels, croissants, toast, donuts, ice cream, shakes, juices, Smoothies, slushees -- even play the lotto! Portions & sizes are more than you can ask for! My only complaint.... Is customer service. :( as good as a place may be... this can make or break it. Don't know if it was the language barrier.... But both the man and woman that were working at the time were very unhelpful and rude about it. I had asked for a pastrami croissant sandwich and they understand just a regular white bread sandwich. When I received I had apologized for the miscommunication but it is not what I wanted or ordered. The man proceeded to blame me for it and had an attitude the rest of the time making the sandwich I had originally asked for. I'm willing to give this place another try because the sandwich was overly satisfying... BUT wish me luck! read more

Literally the best little place. I stumbled across it heading to another restaurant in the same lot. The donuts are a nice size, fluffy, and not overly sweet. Stumbled on this donut shop on my way to work one day and I wound up stopping in. Ordered a ham egg and cheese croissant that was really good. I came back here the next day and got a bacon breakfast bagel. It was made fresh and cooked to order. It certainly relieved my hunger pains before I work. The third time here I was pressed for time and got a ready made ham and cheese. I'm usually skeptical on getting ready made items and asked her if she made it fresh. She said of course so I trusted her and I wasn't disappointed. I wound up bringing donuts to the office and everybody like them so this is a really solid donut place right in Westlake. As a person who has eaten Costco food his whole life... this place is basically a Costco re-seller. There actually isn't anything wrong with that, just as long as you know what you're getting yourself into. Basically, if you went to Costco and put together a croissant sandwich yourself at home, that's what you get here. Perfectly reasonable place to fill up on food that's higher than convenience store grade, and fairly cheap too. I got a big donut, croissant ham and cheese and egg sandwich, coffee, and a big bottle of water. Combined, the cost was about $7.50. Not bad for all the food I got. Some hole in the wall places are secret gems where owners are slaving away to churn out amazing unique products. This is not one of those places. It's basically Costco, and that's perfectly alright as long as you know what you're getting. read more

Cashier couldn't understand me but she was super polite. It's like playing a game of charades, but it's like in a donut shop, that really ads to the whole experience. They have fresh donuts. Their #16 Turkey sandwich is huge and reasonably priced ($5!) and they are quick to make it. There is an ATM machine inside. They have a range of bottled drinks and ice cream. They also offer milk teas, shakes, smoothies, frappuccinos. Their parking lot is small and it's shared with like 3 other businesses so parking can be tight. They have a good variety of food to choose from, not just donuts. They will customize your sandwiches for you as well. The smoothies are pretty good too. Prices arent to bad. The people that work there are very cheerful and friendly. Open really early and stay open late. read more

It was a Saturday night and I woke up stranded on the streets of Los Angeles. My phone was dead, my glasses were lost, and I did not know where the hell I was. I squinted and all I saw was a blurred sign, "3RD ST". With no sense of direction, I had to ask, whoever was on the street at 3:30am, where Alameda was. All they had to do was point me towards the right direction, but given the circumstance everyone I asked liked to pretend they never heard or didn't know how to get there. Nice. I folded my arms and tucked them under my arm pits. I knew it was going to be a pilgrimage, and my boots were going to suffer for it. I continued walking with my head down, hoping I would find some solace with each step. I saw a subtle change of color at my feet. I pulled up my head and there I saw it. The yellow banner with big red letters. The neon glow of the open sign. A body feel of relief washed over me. I stepped inside and met Danny, great guy. I told him my situation and he let me stay at the shop. I bought a maple donut and a cup of coffee with whatever change I had left. He let me sleep at the table booth til the morning sun came. I usually come here because it's close to home. However I will no longer will be coming here! I would give it negative stars if I could . So I was craving boba and decided to go. However, I had my dog with me so I stayed outside and sent my 7 year old in. Keep in mind she knows exactly what I want and she had done before! So when I peek in and see my milk tea is a different color I asked what that was and the lady said Thai tea. I said that's not what my daughter ordered ( my daughter doesn't know what that is so she could have not possibly mistaken it) . I came with a coworker here to satisfy our donut cravings and get a dozen donuts for our other colleagues. This was only a mile away from where I work in downtown LA so it was convenient for me to drive down the street, grab a quick dozen, and leave. The parking lot was very small, so it's possible you might have to park elsewhere. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by two Asian ladies. I inquired how much a dozen donuts were, and they asked me if I was Vietnamese or something else. After giving my response, they joked that since I wasn't Viet they would have to charge me $1.50 more per dozen. Even though they were joking I was not amused and believed it was inappropriate, especially for new customers. I remained polite and got my dozen donuts (which - objectively speaking here - were just average donuts, neither bad nor good). However, I will definitely not be coming back here again after their inappropriate joke. read more
