Definitely better to clarify everything before any work begins I ended up having two locks installed, one smart lock and one traditional lock, and both installations were done pretty quickly. He also made duplicate keys for me, which was convenient. The two technicians assigned to do the installation, Felix and Larry, were very professional, knowledgeable, and easy to get along with. They knew what they were doing and it showed in the quality of their work. What I was particularly impressed with was their ability to come up with creative solutions for the wiring of both the intercom and the elevator keypad. Some vendors we contacted were reluctant to bid on the project because of the challenges involved, especially with the elevator keypad installation.
