We had a great meal at Pura Brasa. Everything we ordered was really good and you can tell the food…read moreis fresh and made well. Between me & my girl we tried a bunch of different things -- the Texas smoked sausage, guacamole, arroz de la casa, esquite, quesadillas, fish tacos, the 8 oz filet mignon, and the American wagyu burger. Honestly there wasn't a single thing we didn't like. The filet was cooked perfectly & came out on a hot plate. It will continue to cook if you leave it on the plate but they disclose that & give you an extra plate to transfer it to (some people complain about their steak being overcooked but in my opinion that's their own fault lol). The esquite and arroz de la casa were amazing, I'll order both sides every time I come back. Overall it was just a really solid meal. Definitely a place I'd recommend if you're in the Sumner area.

Service is good, not overbearing or too sparse. Prices a bit high, but it's worth it as nearly everything is made in house and high quality. 100% would recommend. WISH THEY WERE OPEN ON TUESDAYS!

Five star for the taste of these tacos. I am very picky when it comes to Mexican food because I…read morecome from CA where we have the best. I saw the large white truck outside the corner grocery gas mart and swooped in to try it on a whim. I ordered 3 tacos: asada, pollo and carnitas. Delicious!!!! I thought I died and woke up in Central Ca. Highly recommend. (This high of a compliment from me for a taco truck in WA is very rare) Clearly, I highly recommend. I can't wait to go back! I want to also mention. I witnessed the owner paying a homeless man for helping keep his outside space clean and swept. He paid him cash and a plate of food. This owner earned my respect and business even before I bit into one of those delicious tacos.

My husband and I both got the birria tacos with consome, a side of rice and beans, and guacamole. Everything was packaged up well and was still warm considering it's kind of far from us. Only bummer was that they didn't send along our side of chips & guac. :( The tacos themselves are pretty dang big, and with us each getting two, it was a lot of food. Overall I thought they were really good, but the downside was that we got a lottt of fatty, squishy meat in our tacos which really grosses me out. The parts that weren't super fatty were delicious though!! The consomé was also absolutely fire and I definitely straight up just drank some of it - zero shame. Rice and beans were tasty, but that's hard to mess up. We also really enjoyed the salsas they provided - they both had a good kick that wasn't painful and the flavor was on point. I personally loved the green one the most! Their little food truck setup looks super cute and I definitely want to visit in person to give the tacos a second chance.

Bottom Line Up Front...One star for the cleanliness, easy parking and the thoughtful decor. Steven missed on this one big time. The fact that they didn't have customers when he visited them could have been one of three issues (food quality, poor service, inflated prices). In my case, it was all 3. There were older white folks who saw Steven's article and did mention it to the wait staff. Some of those tables received chips and salsa, most didn't, not sure what goes into their criteria for who gets it and who doesn't. I chitchatted with the wait staff and asked them their specials and what they would want me to tell the Yelpers about them. They wanted me to give the community my honest opinion and said their best sellers are the Quesabirria and ramen (what what?) . Well we decided on neither of those and ordered the $17.95 Chicken Enchilada mole and the $12.90 Chicken Mulitas (each $6.45, staff did not ask if I wanted one or two). To be brutally honest...the Enchiladas were "lean" & dreadful. The mole sauce tasted like mud. The rice and beans was barely palatable (La Preferida from Safeway might have been better!). The Mulitas was ok but not something that I would miss. The red and green salsa from those plastic bottles was salty...as were all of the dishes...saltier... The plates were small, the price tag was hefty, paid extra for mole sauce (this was NOT a side order but something that is supposed to be the core dish sauce), extra for credit card use (3%). Nickel and diming...what next...clean your own table... quarter for restroom use! Of course, none of these upcharges were mentioned or listed anywhere that I could see... Service was just ok...they didn't talk about any specials or drinks...so we didn't order one. And the biggest kicker...no complimentary chips and salsa unlike those other hardworking Mexican joints awaiting your business. There was no hook; all sinker...Somehow, they think of themselves as "Cactus" but lack the basics of competing for your business. I ended up with an upset stomach later that evening. Don't take my word only...read the other reviewers observations in a bit more detail while ignoring the stars and judge for yourself. Sorry if my review sounds too brutal, which I hate to do knowing how hard it is to run a restaurant. I greatly respect the hard working folks in the restaurant industry. I wish they seriously consider their customers' feedback and make some changes for the better.
