Large restaurant with plenty of seating, even if the parking lot is full they probably have room. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, staying on top of chip refills The portions are good and the food tasted fresh and well prepared. Lots of cheesy on the birria tacos and most of the meat was nice and tender. The tortillas were great, crisp in spots and soft in others, very flavorful overall. The steak had a good char on it, which is great and the rice and beans of both types were good. Overall a good typical Mexican restaurant that we will keep coming back to. read more

When I first went to the restaurant I was greeted and partnered with Pablo who was friendly and was helpful with catering my daughters wedding. We then went back with my family, (16 of us) for a dinner and Pablo made sure we were put in a comfortable area (banquet room) which was comfortable. Our waitress was really nice, she was attentive and funny and was right on spot with all of our orders. With so many grandkids the room was perfect for us. Two visits in the last few months. We were driving by on the way to another place when we saw the nearly full parking lot and thought why not give it a try. We ordered fajitas for two and also bought a couple of drinks. It was all good, the service was very good and the cost was reasonable. Lots of leftovers to take home for lunch the next day. Visit number two was to pick up a to go order. We had been patronizing a different Mexican restaurant much further away. They messed up the order three times for three orders. So, we placed an order here, picked it up, took it home and every thing was there. Again, generous portions. Great food and ready on time. read more

I ordered chicken burrito and pork tamale combo. I'm was not impressed. Chicken meat was bland with only the heated sauce and melted cheese poured over burrito with refried beans and rice. Very little pork in my tamale So, just average rating from me. My friends were satisfied with their meal. The restaurant is a nice place, large. Service was adequate. Maybe I'm prissy on taste. After all mex food is just meat, refried beans, rice, sauces. I guess the real test would be the steaks at double the price . Taco Time would have been just as good for what I ordered. This place use to be great. But, now every time I go it gets a little bit worse. Especially the service. I got an order to go and had to repeat three times because the bartender that was taking my order was more interested in talking to a coworker. Then when the order arrived I noticed through the bag the side of salsa was missing. Unfortunately, I didn't check my order prior to leaving and when I got home I noticed they messed up my order and only gave us three small tortillas for an order of carne asada and chicken fajitas. Yummy lunch and margarita flight on a rainy day I ordered a side Chalupa with shredded beef and it was pretty tasty! The margarita flight was also good, my favorite was the cucumber lime margarita. Went here after nearby mini-golf. It's divey and I expected mediocre food, but the drinks situation omg! They told us they didn't have a drink menu. We ordered frozen margaritas. They were terrible - the top 2/3rds of each glass was just ice. Was there alcohol in them? Idk. But that's not the issue. When the bill came, each frozen marg was $20!! In the middle of nowhere at a dive bar Mexican place. Definitely felt scammed by the "no drink menu." The food was also meh and overpriced, but not as obscenely as those drinks. read more

I've been coming here pre pandemic and it's literally the best service and food. We absolutely love the queso dip! The staff is always very helpful and friendly. What can I say...the food is spectacular but the service is sub par. I really want to give this restaurant a five star rating. Yet as usual with this restaurant, I leave frustrated and feeling ignored once I've ordered my drinks and meal. WTF...even the owner or maybe she was the manager, (IDK), acknowledged me by saying "we'll be right with you", AND I've been waiting for several minutes, like for more than 15 minutes to pay my bill!!! COME ON PEOPLE, GET WITH THE PROGRAM. Sadly and unfortunately we took the bill and paid up front and grabbed a container of salsa. I'll have to come up with a different way to order their wonderful food and AVOID THIER CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL COST. Because their poor customer service is not outside their norm. read more

I updated this because it was a far different experience than last visit just 4-5 months ago. We've gone here for years, most of the time we've been pleased so it was a bit upsetting this visit to notice few changes. Obviously the the first couple things that make a great Mexican restaurant is the quality of the chips, salsa and margaritas! Chips/salsa still good but the basket seemed like half the size, it looked like just a handful of chips this time. We had only eaten about 6 each and needed to reorder more. The margaritas have always been good with a kick! This time it was questionable if booze was even in it... very strange. I mentioned to our server and she said it's all premixed in a large container to save time making fresh individually!! What!!! Sorry but for $12 cocktails I don't want some weak premixed stuff from a dispenser. Unbelievable. We get our meals, they looked good and portion fair for price. But the chicken in my chalupa tasted like it was seriously boiled in plain unsalted unseasoned water, absolutely no flavor at all. I had to keep adding S&P, hot sauce... disappointing. We both added a side of sour cream, menu said $1.50 but this time we only got about a full tablespoon and noticed later we were both charged $1.98! So we paid $4 for about 2-3 tablespoons total which is far more than what a quart costs. Then also noticed they charged $16.99 instead of menu price $15.99 and charged $1 each for about 1/4 cup of chopped onions and cup of lettuce shreds. I just can't stand places that not only nickel and dime you but then sneak in extra discrepancies. Service was good, no issue there. I guess I should be shocked we didn't get charged for the second tiny basket of chips. The margarita issue was most upsetting, $24 for what tasted like limeade. Sad to see changes to a place you've enjoyed so long, hoping my comments bring good changes. read more

My sister and I sat in the bar and honestly we did not get that good of service at all. I've never been to a restaurant that doesn't serve ceviche but this one doesn't! We asked them if they could make us a replica. Okay that was fine for us, we' dealt with it but it was okay. We had a carne asada burrito and it was okay size, portions weren't that big. The food was very salty, kinda hard to eat in my opinion. I was a little frustrated that We had to ask them to take our order even though we made contact with numerous people and asked for help so that was annoying as heck. The service was decent for a busy Friday night. Everyone was polite and I was seated promptly. I ordered what the server recommended, which was a carnitas burrito. My guest ordered a margarita and the quesabirria tacos. The margarita was good, not great. Just your standard margarita mix with patron. No frills or anything special about it, one is enough to get you feeling good about yourself. The food came quickly, the burrito was doused in green salsa and sour cream. The pico de gallo on top was good, the sour cream was good, and the green salsa was okay (perhaps from a can?). The insides were bland. I actually had to ask for salt. The rice was good, the pinto beans were decent (perhaps from a can), but the meat was questionable. Carnitas is supposed to be shredded pork. The meat was square shaped!!! How and why? It didn't look like pork. It looked like institutional meat. The quesabirria was better. Perhaps though because it had a lot of cheese to give it flavor. The beef was tender. The dipping broth was weird and had a cinnamon taste to it. Would order the tacos and forego the broth. read more

The waitress said she needed to see service dog papers but my wife forgot her phone. She said she would go and get the manager. Manager came out onto the patio waiving his finger like a nun that was about to administer a beating to a problem child. He asked for the service dog papers and when I tried to explain that we forgot them, he just shook his head and told us we had to leave. From the patio. Outside. I have enjoyed this restaurant in the past. The food and service has been good. In this day of trying to eat out AND be safe, this place is not a good choice. The waiter immediately gave us his opinion that he didn't think masks were necessary (even though his son who is a doctor tells him otherwise) and backed it up with wearing his over only his mouth. He coughed into his hand before handing us their usual plastic menus which I saw passed to several tables without being cleaned. I'd stay away. We left pretty quickly. read more

This place will me our go to for Mexican food. We greeted with warm smiles . We felt like family. Big props to Pedro ! The youngster that was checking on us for drinks and those warm delicious chips , salsa & bean dip. Our food served hot and delicious authentic Mexican cuisine from Chili Verde , Tacos , Chimichanga, Burritos . This place has been here a very, very long time. I remember coming here as a kid. I say this because it looks like it hasn't changed much. The outside and the inside still seem stuck in the 80s. I get it, it's the typical American version of what we think a Mexican restaurant is. Thy all tend to look exactly the same. If you took the signs down you wouldn't know if this was a Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan or El Toro restaurant. There's nothing here that sets it apart. We stopped in during a recent day out and about mostly because finding a place that is open during the current climate is hard enough, finding one that can seat you right away is even harder and finding one that isn't a total mess is insane. We were very happy to be able to park, walk in and be seated immediately. We ordered "Fajitas For Two", steak and chicken combo, with both flour and corn tortillas (the wife likes the flour ones, I like real tortillas). The tortilla station was not up and running, so I can't comment on how fresh they were (and even having a tortilla station doesn't really mean they are fresh, often it's just for show anyways). Our meal came very quickly, which was nice, but to be expected considering the tiny number of other diners here. I was happy to see that they serve only a single plate of rice and beans. Often times you get two plates of rice and beans with the "fajitas for two", which we simply don't need, so that was nice. I will note, the guac and sour cream were served in a small tortilla bowl instead of on a bed of lettuce like most places do. That seems like a stupid thing, but it's actually a big deal, because it means you can scoop those out without having lettuce stuck to them. Props on that! Everything tastes great and we had no complaints. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I hold this one at 3 stars just based on the outdated, stale decor. It's solid Americanized Mexican food, so if you're looking for that you will be happy here. read more
