Despite the facility's claims that her condition was improving, she continued to deteriorate. Their dishonesty delayed urgent medical intervention, ultimately leading to a life-threatening emergency surgery. Just a month prior, she had already been hospitalized for sepsis after another stay at this same facility. This is not just a case of poor care--this is medical neglect. From overmedicating to potential abuse (which I will not detail here), the signs are deeply troubling. I believe this facility should be investigated, flagged, or shut down by the state to prevent further harm. My grandmother is lucky to be alive, but no family should have to go through what we did.

The staff offered to provide a large variety of delicious desserts and warm finger food for their residents while other senior living facilities we worked with would not provide food. The staff made sure all 85 residents received our invitation, and in addition, La Posada created their own invitation so the residents were notified twice. That outshined the other facilities too. In addition, La Posada arranged for a Photo Booth so the residents could take photos with us and keep the copies -- all paid for by La Posada. There was a large turn out of residents and they were very engaged, asking questions that were articulate, insightful and challenging. We had fun at La Posada, the staff was friendly and respectful to all, and I think the residents enjoyed their afternoon greatly.

The staff was so lovely and accommodating and as we walked around I noticed that they had at least twice as many staff as I've seen at the other places we've explored. It really made me feel reassured that my family member would be very well taken care of. My mom was also very pleased with the idea of having her own room, and since she loves to garden in her free time, the nurses assured her that she was more than welcome to get her hands dirty if she wanted to. There is only 5 residents there which makes it great for all the attention these people get. The house is always clean and doesn't smell, the residents and clothes are always clean. They always celebrate some kind of event just to make them happy. My dad would say he felt support and love from everyone even on his bad days they were by his side. The owners and staff are very kind and caring people. Mom and I were very happy with their kindness, the food they prepare and serve, constantly doing laundry and cleaning .... You name it, they do it. They even keep company with them and play games if they are up for it. They also helped me get hospice care for my mom since her health care provider was dragging their feet and thank God they did. My mom didn't live long because of an ongoing health battle but she was very well cared for. The owner and staff treated us like part of their family. I got to visit quite often, and they were just so sweet. I cannot say enough about this place to convey how happy I was with the service they provided throughout the entire time my mom was there.
