The pizza was brought out quickly after we ordered. That was great but I just thought the pizza was ok. It's kind of like you're ordering a sub at subway. When you place your order, they make it right in front of you. Extremely limited indoor seating. You have to serve yourself at a table, if you can find one. They did have outdoor activities for the kids but the pizza comes out quick enough that you really don't need it. You clear your own table. Oh and they expect a tip before you even get your food. They have a tip jar at checkout. You want a tip? Try allowing us to see what kind of service you have first. Big turn off. We did like that they have a nice yard to eat outside but I don't know what it would be like in the winter. Sounds awful. The pizza was ok. I'm writing this review as I finish the last bit of leftovers, and I have to say I'm sad it's almost gone! First, very easy to make your order vegan. They offer vegan cheese and have a ton of veggie options. Highly recommend the cheese bread made vegan, which comes with delicious marinara sauce for dipping. As for pizza, it is definitely thin crust that goes in the wood fire oven. You can make your own or order from the menu of predetermined combos. Margherita with vegan cheese (8/10): Tons of cheese, plenty of flavor with fresh basil. BYO Vegan cheese with veggies (7/10): So many veggies that I think it may have tipped towards too many. I can't blame them for that and it was still so fresh and flavorful. Cheese bread with vegan cheese (10/10): Honestly, I might just order 2 or 3 of these next time; not because the other stuff was bad, but because this was so good! The marinara is wonderful for dipping, but even standalone this cheese bread is legit. So refreshing to see a place not only have, but celebrate, vegan options in a small town like this. Stopped in for a few pizzas to take home after a long day of boating. Subway style where they make the pizzas on front of you and then woodfire them. Tons of awesome fresh toppings and flavors. This is an excellent pizza place for the downtown pictured rocks area. Each pizza feeds about two people and you need to try all the different varieties. We had the meat pizza as well as just a sausage pizza. But all of the menu looks very delicious. Visited Munising for a Pictured Rocks Tour with the fam. Saw this place on the way to our tour, and decided to check it out after. I mean, it's PIZZA. They have a nice area to sit outdoors, and a fair amount of seating inside. The line was wrapped around the inside and the outside was bumping too. You order your pizza/s and they essentially make them right in front of you. The oven cooks them fast so most of the wait is essentially time spent waiting to order. The 5 of us were hungry so we decided on 4 - 12" pies, a large salad and pasta salad. We ordered a Philly Cheesesteak, a Buffalo Chicken, a Margherita & a Miner's Beach. The pasta salad and salad were pretty standard but good. The Buffalo Chicken was okay, we all agreed it could use more Buffalo. The Margherita was probably our least favorite. We always try Margherita wherever we go because it is my youngest son's favorite. While it wasn't terrible, this was our least favorite version we have tried. The Miner's Beach was essentially a works with pineapple and jalapeño. It was tasty, the sweetness of the pineapple helped offset the heat from the jalapeño. Our favorite was the Philly Cheesesteak. When they made it, the girl broke out a bag of chopped steak, which I thought she was gonna get steak from. She dumped the entire bag on! We were like "Whoa"! It was delicious! They have plenty of options there and we believe that you could put anything on that crust and it will taste good. For being in such a small town this was quite a treat! While in Munising to see the pictured rocks, we could not find many options for dinner. We drove past this place a few times and thought it was charming. It's a former house turned into a restaurant. The house itself is rather small-with only about 4 tables, but the outdoor area is really nice with plenty more covered seating. Because there aren't many options for dinner, this place was packed. It took at least half an hour to order and another 10 minutes to get our food. We made our own pizza and had half an order of garlic cheese bread. Both were pretty tasty. Pictured Rocks Pizza in Munising, Michigan: We went on a Friday evening and there was a pretty long line to place the order but it seemed to move quickly. The area at the counter to place the orders and pick up was really crowded which blocked the indoor seating area and overflowed in front of the area to get drinks. All the outdoor seating was taken and the indoor seating was very limited and the tables were really close together. The pizza was simply mediocre. I would rate it slightly better than frozen but definitely nothing spectacular. I would, however, highly recommend the baguette! It was served warm, really soft on the inside with a nice light crust on the outside and came with a pizza style sauce for dipping! I couldn't stop eating the baguette and really didn't even concern myself with our pizza at that point but did wish I had a nice glass of wine to go with that baguette! read more

We always, always, always get Pictures Rocks Pizza when in town. Yes, the pizza is a tad bit more expensive than other options, but you're getting a solid, quality meal. There are so many options here that will satisfy the simplest of palates to those who enjoy pizza toppings you can't usually order at any old regular joint (try the Mediterranean, you can thank me later). Vegan? No problem. They offer choices literally for everyone. Take out is always quick and if you feel like hanging around and eating, the outdoor seating is great with plenty of shaded options and yard games for the family to enjoy. My ONLY MINOR "COMPLAINT" is that there are no real family sized salad options and an order of cheese bread is only half of a pizza box full.
