9/17/14 : The 2 stars are for the quality of the bread, and toppings; pesto, kalamata olives, etc. As usual, they were excellent. However, I had to really make an effort, to request the toppings. When I walked in, the restaurant was empty, aside from 3 people. The first guy came from the back, and silently waited for me to place an order. From that point on, I was putting him out by requesting the four ingredients I wanted on my pizza. Then he goes to the back, to get the cashier. She has no idea what I am talking about, when I request a side salad and drink. I refer to the two stickers on the glass.... She takes my money, and then all the staff return back behind the doors for the remainder of time. 20 minutes. (Very naked pizzas, annoyed, inconvenienced staff). Go to other locations. read more

Pie Five is a great idea for a pizza place-individual pizzas and choose your own toppings. I enjoyed the delicious Five Star. The proportions were just right, and I liked how thin the toppings were sliced. Because the pizzas are made individually by hand the wait can get long, but it is worth it. Also, I agree with the other reviewers who mentioned the dirty tables. The workers are so busy behind the counter that they do not have time to clean up the tables. But the tasty pizzas will make you forget about these small issues. read more

As a family we've been going to this Pie5 location since they opened. I was really impressed by the concept and value, but what particularly impressed me was the cleanliness - infact it bordered on obsession. The glass was constantly wiped down with cleaner for finger marks and the counter was swept clear of makings after each Pizza was made to order. The whole place was spotless. However Sunday before last 11/18 I did something I rarely do - turned around and walked out. The counter was piled high in Pizza makings, the glass was dirty and heavily fingermarked and the associate who approached to serve us had long greasy hair that was hanging about his face. My wife and I looked at each other and we knew we weren't staying. We have been many times but will not be going back. read more

Oh I really wanted to love this place, REALLY wanted to. The good- the veggies were fresh and tasted really good. The meh- first the sauce....I get fresh, what I don't get is tastes like dirt, the chicken- there were 6 pieces on my pizza, I shouldn't be able to count how many pieces of chicken are on my pizza, there should be enough that I don't notice that there's only 6 pieces, cheese- the cheese was great, however they were really stingy with it and if I'm going to spend the calories to eat a pizza then I want lots of cheese, or at least enough to cover the whole thing.Prices are good. I tried this place out as a test run for my family, since I only spent $10 it wasn't that big of a deal, but had I taken all of them we would have been really disappointed. read more

I enjoyed it. You make your own style of pizza from the bread to the toppings. I really enjoyed it because I'm a huge pizza fan. On the other hand. Not for everyone my boyfriend was definitely not full with one & for the price of hime having two we could have bought a bigger pizza some where else. read more

If you're looking for a cheap, fast pizza made the way you want it, this is your place. Been here a couple of times, I find it's better than the regular pizza inn pizza, even though it's pretty similar. Big difference, you get it made how you want it, with however much you want, and they have a big choice of ingredients. Once you get to the order part of the line, you pizza is pretty well five minutes from being ready. Good sized pizza for the money, about $7. read more

The best way to describe this place if you have never been there is, Subway but for pizza. I liked it, I had the bbq pulled pork on thick bread, nom nom nom type of good! My GF had the high five, it came with meat and veggies, hers was good too. All the pizzas are 9 inches and they are all the same price no matter what you order. I would like to see a larger pizza, I think I could probably eat two in one sitting. read more

Quick and cheap pizza that tastes pretty decent. I ordered the margherita on thin crust and added a few extra toppings. Next time I'll try pan because I did leave the place feeling a little hungry, so that might help. read more

Tables were all dirty and no sweet tea. They had a pie-identity radio add that the worker was less than enthusiastic to acknowledge.

Went to pick up my cheesy bread,They had burnt it, No worries, stuff happens. They were making me a new one. I said Hey, if you are going to throw that away, I know someone who hasn't eaten in days that would love to have it. The clerk asked the manager who said it was against their policy. Interesting concept poorly executed. Pre-baking pizza crusts is a bad idea, made even worse by having them then sit out on a rack getting even drier. Then throw sauce and cheese on it and run it down a conveyor belt? Lame. This pizza is not any better than frozen pizza from the grocery store. Pie 5 in Montgomery Plaza always has plenty of fresh toppings and a friendly staff ....I can run in and within 10 minutes I have ordered and received 5 or 6 pizzas I take back to work and surprise my coworkers with lunch....I was back before they even noticed I was gone! read more

Very friendly staff. Everyone spoke to us walking down the way. The drink station was very dusty but overall, the place looked well kept. Has the enchilada pizza and it was not a good pizza. Did it go through a testing process? Sauce was funny and tasted like canned. read more

I always get the chicken carbonara !! It's so good I've never even tried anything else ! It takes a lot for me to save some pieces for lunch the next day . Could easily eat the whole thing but it heats up so well next day. Always friendly staff and just wonderful food . Very unique place and everything is customizable! Always add jalapeños and olives! This place is never open at 11am. Workers are never ready. Again today, several customers waiting to get in. Doors locked, workers inside standing around. Last time, we met the manager and she unlocked the door - even tho workers were inside. No one inside ready to serve, take money, floors not swept. Poor business !! Pizza was very good. I had the High Five thin crust pizza. Went there for lunch. Very fast and convenient. Will definitely eat here again. My only complaint is that there is not a lot of seating. read more

This place is dirty and the staff is awful. The kid had an attitude as soon as we walked up and switched our pizza toppings up. We were almost overcharged if I hadn't said anything and when our change was handed back to us there was a bug in it!! How? I have no idea. This place needs cleaning and better management. read more

The manager actuallt defined the place as a Subway for pizza. It does have the feel of a frozen pizza, but not bad for something quick. The cost was $6.95 for whatever you want on it. The flow of the place was a little awkward. Probably would not go back unless nothing else was open. read more

This place was terrible. I can't imagine why anyone would choose to eat here. Okay- it's cheap, but not even nearly as good as a frozen pizza which is cheaper. It really is like subway for pizza. You choose your toppings and in 5 minutes, your pizza is ready. My husband and I chose their two most popular pizzas according to the guy that worked there. I read about this place in the paper and have often wished for a good fast place to get a pizza on my lunch hour. I tired it today, and they really do make the pizza in about 5 minutes, it is much like Subway, the fresh ingredients are diplayed and the worker "builds" your pizza right before your eyes. The only improvement I can think of is maybe a drive through as parking is often a problem in Montgomery Plaza. read more

Great concept, horrible exocution. Once again the corporate bean counter guys found a way to ruin a good concept. Has anyone noticed how thin they slice all their ingredients? You order muchrooms and you a pinch of paper thin shavings that you barely can taste when the pie is done. The pepperoni is paper thin and I had 4, count 'em, 4 little shavings on my pie. Peppers, onions, everything sliced as thin as possible, then you get al little sprinkling on top. At best, you get the "illusion" of a great pie. For the money, there are so many other choices where you actually get something substancial and good tasting. This concept won't last long. read more

Food was good as usual. Staff was horrible! Worst customer service I've ever seen. I will not return to Pie Five because of my experience tonight. We got to the register and the female with the long colorful braids (which I might add were so long they were millimeters away from hanging in my food) stared us down until I awkwardly told her how many pizzas we ordered, and added that I would like two waters. She then mumbled my order total, and I kept asking for clarification because I could not hear her. I practically had to lean over the counter to hear. I then handed her my card, and she didn't even reach out her hand to grab it. She didn't give us our water cups, and when my husband asked if we could get a couple of cups, she ignored him. When we were sitting down eating our pizza, trying to enjoy the only good part of our experience, the worker cleaning the table comes up. She uses this spray bottle with cleaner to spray the table next to us. She sprayed it so close and so much of it, my hand got sprayed and my husband inhaled the spray as he was taking a bite of pizza. Very unprofessional and unwelcoming staff. Very disappointed because Pie Five used to be one of my favorite pizza places. read more

We were driving around for a place to grab a quick bite, that didn't require valet or metered parking. Since we were in Ft. Worth for the first time, we wanted to try something new. I wasn't exactly thinking of a shopping strip pizza place but I'm glad this is what we decided!! It's a choice of 'build your own" or pick from menu. Since there were people behind us, I didn't really have a chance to look at all the ingredients so I picked the "5 star" and my boyfriend picked the BBQ chicken pizza. We loved both of them! We were full for the rest of the night, and we hadn't really eaten since before lunch time. I spent most of the time, looking at the menu board, deciding what I would have gotten if I had more time...yet, was still mesmerized by the pizza in front of me. The staff was superb. I was shocked that they all seemed to be having a good time yet they were all doing something productive. Between restocking, cleaning, attending customers, there was never an idle moment. I even asked if they had one in Houston....or when they could put on in Houston. I look forward to my next pie. read more
