Decided to check out the sister spa of the one I liked in Foster City. This location is not as scenic or zen but is functional and easy to access at the South Shore shopping center. You can hear the receptionist interacting with guests from the foot massage area and there are only 3 foot massage set ups. Massage was good but same comment about the 40/40 foot and body massage combo as I have for their sister location: I think they don't give you the full 80 minutes because you need to switch to a room and change for the body massage so the only advice I would give the owners is to consider having 5 more minutes for the body massage portion if it's advertised as 40 minutes for each service. It is nice they have $10 off on weds for the 40/40 combo and $10 off Thursdays for their 90 min services. There's a membership for $100 to get discounted pricing for a year also. read more

They have a sheet to circle ur focus spots on the front and back of ur body and then I was roomed after. The room was really clean and smelled good too with quiet tranquil music. I got a full hour massage and I think the masseuse really did take time on the focus zones and followed my preferred pressure level. She checked in a couple times as well which was nice. After the massage, I got dressed and had a cup of water in the front. The location is in a plaza so even if you go late at night, many shops are actually still open to peruse. Would recommend coming at night and treating yourself to window shopping too. read more

At the end of the foot massage, then attempt the salt scrub on my feet...with no water. Wiped off with cold wet towel. Took pity and tipped, it was obvious he was grateful, however when leaving the front desk clerk proceeded to ask me in four different ways if I wanted to leave a tip. After, "yes", "I did", "he got it" and "I have it to him". He finally "understood" what I said. Afterwards, had to run home and wash my feet from the itching salt from the scrub. read more

This review is a bit overdue but I needed time to cool off because my experience at W Body & Foot Spa left me fuming. Yes, the space is beautiful and the staff was cordial, but the massage itself was terrible. I had been looking forward to this massage for days and from the beginning something felt off. They require you to pay before the massage and now I know why! This was hands down the worst massage I've ever had, and I've had many over the years. The masseuse had me undress, covered me with a sheet, and then proceeded to use their elbows to rub my body. They do not use their hands or oils to massage you. For the first 15 minutes, they were grinding their elbow into my spine, it was painful. I asked them to stop and ended the 60-minute massage early, something I've never done before. Due to a language barrier, I went to the front desk to explain the situation. Instead of handling it privately, she awkwardly brought the masseuse out and asked me to explain my complaint to them, which put me in an uncomfortable position. It felt intentional, as if to discourage me from pushing the issue. To make matters worse, I was handed what I initially thought was a voucher for another massage. When I asked for clarification, I was told it was actually just a $5 off coupon. This was insulting given the circumstances. I was not offered a refund of my $75, and more importantly my time was wasted. Save yourself the disappointment and go elsewhere. read more

I really wanted to like this place. So much so that I went three times, but each time I was let down, with the last time being the worst. First massage- The massage was okay. They don't ask you what type of massage you want (Thai? Swedish? Deep tissue?). There's a gentleness that's lacking with the masseuses. Like, no warning before whipping sheets off your body, putting scalding hot towels on your bare skin to wipe off oils. Second massage- Same as before, but this time the female masseuse turned me over and exposed my breasts and stomach to massage them. I'm not shy about nudity, but that was a first for me. Third and last chance- I tried a male masseuse. He barely massaged my arms and legs, so I had a 60 minute back massage (I wanted a full body massage). He also gave me some kind of head massage, but I could tell he wasn't trained for it became his fingers/hands were off center when touching pressure points. Worst of all, I left the massage with a fuzziness in my left ear. It's been two weeks but my hearing still hasn't resolved. They're cheap, but I would avoid. read more

I was so excited when W Body and Foot Massage took over the old Massage Envy location. For me, I thought this was going to be a good place to get a relaxing leg and foot massage. The kind you get when you are getting a pedicure and it's so relaxing that you wish that it would last longer, that kind of massage. Unfortunately that was not my experience at W Body. The pros are that it was easy to set up an appointment, the facility is nice and it a relaxing atmosphere. It's the actual massage that was not very relaxing. It's hard to explain, but it was like she was putting pressure on places that shouldn't have pressure. I was tense for half of the session because it was uncomfortable, and even if I said softer or less pressure, she would lighten up, but dial it back up when she moved to another part of the body. I've had massages before, and the woman at W Body didn't have the same expertise as the massage therapists that I have had in the past. Maybe other people had better experiences, and I really was hoping for a great experience as well, but sadly this will be my first and last time at this business. read more
