This place was absolutely unhelpful. They took my money before explaining anything. I knew it was almost time to close but they could have easily said come back tomorrow. They put it on the machine and told me that my car still wasn't ready so they failed it. A simple scan of the car says it's not ready and needs a few more miles to test. They didn't have to fail it. But they did and when I waited a few more days it put me passed the deadline and they didn't honor the retest. They wanted to charge me again for another test. I'm not a smog pro so I don't have smog pro questions. They should have been a lot more diligent in explaining how the process works and not so fast to charge me!!!! It's a shame that people do business this way and take money without providing any real service. I'm updating now after seeing the owners sudden very knowledgeable smog pro reply. My point exactly on what you should have done before charging me once for no services. I wasn't looking for a crooked smog I was a customer trying to get things resolved the way you just me mentioned. This is typical of what I encountered with your establishment and staff. Make the quick buck and push them along. If anyone wants service here with answers... then write a yelp review first and you'll have all the answers you need. This is why going to big shops and dealers thrive while places like this make small businesses look bad. Zero customer care policies. I show up and pay, you fail me cause your the pro, I fix the problem, then I come back with the problems fixed, and you want to charge me again??? Lady at the front is terrible...doesn't know basic customer service skills on explaining services or answering questions. It's a smog check center, so she has one job and cannot do it. JUST LETTING YOU GUYS KNOW THE PRICES. They charge up the $$$$ for a smog check. $79 Go to Walnut Test Only smog check center on Lemon Creek, cheap fast and easy. Perhaps your memory banks were on empty in issuing a good morning to people. Get a triple shot of espresso coffee. Inside is a muggy humid atmosphere in a tiny baby kitchen size room... Air conditioning barely works with a fan blowing around the hot air. Small parking lot shared with another business and if you park on the street expect a ticket or get whacked by the 50+ mph traffic flying down the road. Yeah, my truck got smog certificate several weeks back. Big deal! Yaaaay for that. read more

This place is awesome I was there two days ago!! Let me start off by saying that it is our car so we should know it better & in the 15 mins I was there I saw that if you explain your situation they are willing to go above & beyond in any given area! Experienced how a person had came in after me & I believe the previos day he was dissatissfied because his smog didnt pass the girl in the front asked if he had driven the car as told.. 10 mins later he was all happy now , passed! I was witness of how he apologized to the girl up front. Herd him apologize for even threatening to not pay them the day before (like cmon we need to be better) She told him not to worry about it, glad it's passed them & the man said he was bringing another vehicle LOL. Gave me valor as to tell the chick on the front counter about my situation & she told the smog guy help check my car prior since I was having alot of issues with it. The person who sold it to me scammed me!! Props to the girl in the counter whom not only answers the phone calls & it's alot of them but she is also trying to be attentive to the customers there. They do car transfers, stickers, & sell insurance so imagine juggling all that. My case I will be fixing my vehicle but I am glad I was able to start the process under my name & this place helped me out tremendously. Will be stopping by again to finalize my smog portion & will be legal under my name. The parkling lot is quite small but you simply let them care for your car & they will figuere the rest out & lesson learn you pay what you get for & communication is key. Super quick, super professional and star certified. Everything I wanted in a smog test station...and just a couple miles from home. I think it was around $45...and if you value time over money, it is definitely worth it to get your car done here. There was someone ahead of me when I got there and it still took just about 25 min to get both of us out of there. It's easy to miss if you're driving too fast but there's a big sign if you're goin eastbound on valley. Def comin back whenever I need a smog test for all of my vehicles. * Make sure you know if you need a star certified smog checker...they can check by your vin and it usually says on your renewal cert. read more

NO EXCEPTIONS for free retest if outside arbitrary 10 day limit. The lady at the front desk told me timeframe dictated by State, which I later discovered is BS. I was a few days outside limit, as I had to have 02 Sensor replaced AND drive 80 miles to reset computer. If you have an older vehicle that may need some work, I'd advise running the opposite direction. read more
