Sadly they have enough staff yet ONE girl working the assembly line ( poor thing and she seems stressed ) no matter how busy it is. The other staff just hang around and chit chat with each other, and eat in that little room near the area where they cut the pizza. You would think they would help their coworker. Our first time eating at any pieology place and this was the closest to home. It's like subway but pizza version. I love this place. Not a vegan restaurant but a solid choice to build a vegan pizza. The cauliflower crust is not vegan but have no fear, the gluten free crust certainly is. To avoid cross contamination they have a separate batch of the standard tomato pizza sauce that won't have had any dairy cheese accidentally fall in. The vegan cheese they use is Daisy. If you've previously had issues with the brand in the past, know that they have drastically stepped their hand up and you should give it another shot. There are many toppings that vegans can have including the following of my favorites: spinach, artichoke, red onion, mushroom, roasted red peppers, etc. They vegan meatball is a must. I don't care about the upcharge because I have to have it. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the amazing homemade lemonades they offer. My favorite eos the cucumber mint as it has a more subtle sweetness to it and refreshing taste. However, all 4 flavors are too notch and a must have. The staff here are also pretty awesome. I should get the name of the super pleasant guy that makes my pizzas most of the time. I don't know if he just makes it with love but they always come out best when he's had his hand on it! Service was unfortunately awful. I'm a college student at csudh and I've came for lunch with my service dog a couple times with no problems until today. The manager Joe insisted in making me step outside of the restaurant to the patio because I had my service dog with me. I explained how he's my companion animal and I've dined here before with no issues and instead of being considerate of the laws with service animals he proceeded to argue back with attitude. Didn't even allow me to order my food. Horrible experience my family and I will never be back. read more

Great location on the outside of the mall in Carson conveniently located near my workplace. I'm able to order ahead on the website and just popping in and grab my order. Service is always good and it's a nice decor clean updated the food let's face it pizza IS pizza guys but there's just one pizza that stands out the veggie pesto, their original crust is very thin and there's a fine line between burning it that they need to be careful for but this particular pizza is worth the review. It's covered in artichoke hearts baby tomatoes, spinach it's just a wonderful combination. I've tried several lunch specials the last was the reason for this review it was pizza it looks like the largest this 11 inch at this place so it's pizza salad and dessert now you already know about the pizza. The salad was a nice size and fresh but that dessert should probably just be taken off the menu served on the thin crust, it's called a churro it's just not a good taste. Perhaps they should serve actual churros. That would be good. We will not be ordering that lunch special again but the pizza and salads are good. read more

The entire experience was terrible which is why I requested a full refund. On 3/16/22, I ordered food for delivery through the Pieology website. The order was 20 minutes late and it was wrong. I tried calling the location several times and got no answer. They did not provide the delivery driver's contact info and he didn't follow delivery instructions . I ended up going to the restaurant and at that point I just wanted a complete refund. I was told that since I ordered online only the manager could process a refund and I had just missed him. So I had no food and No refund. The corporate office number is disconnected. The manager or whoever they called on the phone was rude. Not even sure it was a manager because he didn't introduce himself. As far I know the "shift leader" could've called one of his friends to play along seeing as how he called someone on his cell phone and went to the back and then came back for the land line. I asked the "shift leader" who delivers the order and he stated that it was whichever app I chose but I ordered directly through the Pieology website. He then stated when then he didn't know what to tell me. I asked what the actual phone number was for the restaurant because I had called multiple times. He stated he didn't know what number I was dialing but showed me a number at the top of the receipt. I said that was the number I had tried along with the number on the confirmation email. He then stated "You can leave your information and the manager can get back to you tomorrow." He also stated that your staff sometimes just doesn't answer the phone because the business is short staffed. Had someone answered the phone and correctly addressed the situation then I would have been willing to just accept the credit for the 1 pizza but this entire process from beginning to end wasn't acceptable. When addressing an upset customer you #1 need to acknowledge the issue #2 apologize #3 correct the issues. None of these things happened. Then I received an email from the location, again I have no idea who the person was behind the email because there was no information. This is the corporate office response below on 3/18 and I haven't heard anything from them again: Hello Schavonne, Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I sincerely apologize for the lack of customer service you received and we understand your frustration. We try to maintain the highest standards of service, and our manager and internal team have been notified of this situation. Your entire feedback has been shared with both, since I don't have access to view past/current purchases I'm hoping that someone on the internal team can follow up with you more in detail regarding your refund. I do hope that we are able to redeem ourselves not only as a brand but also the location as well. read more

If you like thin pizza crust then this place is for you. There are 3 options on what crust you like for your choice. Workers over there are very nice and helpful on which toppings you would like to put into your pizza. I put my order online and was disappointed that when I arrived, they had not started on my order. Such s great deal. Pieology has evolved with various options now. They offer gluten free, cauliflower, deep dish, wheat thin crusts. Take note that some of these options costs extra $1-$2.50. I was just curious and tried the "healthier" options. I say the cauliflower was good but their gluten free crust tasted too much like a cardboard. All in all this is a solid meal option. "I haven't been to Pieology before and I decided to give them a try this time around. Sadly, my first experience will probably be my last." I came in shortly at the end of the lunch rush to grab a quick margarita pizza, incidentally I ended up having one of the worst experiences. I ended up behind the worst customers who hogged all the time asking and re-asking for the same things over and over again. They ended up holding up the entire line. The employee incorrectly made my pizza with the wrong kind of sauce and didn't correct it after making the obvious mistake. Worst part about this is that, instead of just sticking my already completed pizza in the oven, I had to WAIT for the people in front of me to finish--they were taking FOREVER. Literally, the wait to have my pizza baked took less time than actually waiting to have the darn thing put in the oven. When I finally received the pizza, it was lopsided (see picture). Their line system needs work, the employees need more training and focus. The only redeeming quality is that the pizza was less than $7 dollars. I have only had pizzas from pieology twice, first time was a few years ago, since I have gone extremely strict with carbs, so I rarely have pizzas anymore. The pizzas here are actually pretty healthy, the ingredients are fresh, the crusts are very thin, and the flavors are very light. I love it we can basically create our own pizza from scratch, and we can have a very good look at the ingredients we are choosing, that makes me feel a lot better and a lot easier to make my pizza as healthy as possible! The thing with places like Pieology is that you can only really blame yourself when you make a DIY pizza and it doesn't taste all that amazing. I always end up putting too much stuff on my pizza, but overall it's always relatively good. My only comment for Peiology is that they are somewhat limited in types of crust (just the one) and the dough was a bit soggy in the middle. I've been here twice now and my co-workers and I love this place. Think of it like a Subway with thin crust pizza. You can control the toppings from the sauce to the meat. I have had one pizza with the herb butter sauce and one with the olive oil. The butter sauce is totally better. Their crust is light and crispy, which I like, and their toppings seem fresh. There is plenty of seating outside and inside. And if you tell them your order is "to go" feel free to wait outside...they'll find you. Other than that you have to get your own drink, napkins, forks, etc. Also, you can get a "to go" order and stick around but I highly suggest you say the order is "for here" and then get a half box when you're ready to leave.
