This is a great fish place. Had a salad there with very nice salmon. I'll be going back again.

My family originates from Southern Louisiana so Cajun food holds a sweet spot in my heart. I've tried crawfish all over Texas and my favorite place is in east Texas between Quitman and Minneola. I've tried all over Dallas and been disappointed, but recently I discovered Pier 101. I had to go even though their crawfish are double the price of my favorite East Texas restaurant. My wife and I started with a $18 order of crab fingers cooked in a white wine sauce. These were delicious and there was enough to last our entire stay. The French bread that came with it was the perfect mix of crunchy and soft. Next I tried one pound of crawfish, boiled in Cajun seasoning. They were cooked perfectly, easily twisted from the head and pulled from the tail but they were very very bland. I asked if they could strengthen the boil, was told they couldn't. They did add a bunch of seasoning to the bag and shook it extra for my next order but that just made it more messy with very little extra yield. Next I tried a cup of Gumbo, it was good but had a overwhelming flavor that I could not place, maybe thyme or bay leaf? My wife ordered the coconut shrimp and jalapeño hush puppies, those were absolutely perfect. To finish the meal off we had a giant piece of strawberry cheesecake, which was one of the better cheesecakes I've had. To drink I had 2 tall crown and cokes, had to Uber home. We just ate at Pier 101 last weekend and it was awesome! We keep coming back to this place over and over again for 15 years now. The service is always great and the clam chowder is the best on the Oregon coast! Anyone who likes Mo's chowder I'm afraid doesn't know how clam chowder is suppose to taste! read more

Came here for lunch today. At the time we arrived, we had missed the lunch crowd and there was only one server waiting all the tables. He didn't give us his name but he was warm, friendly and fantastic! We started out with an order of oysters on the half-shell. They were fresh and delicious and a couple were really large! I ordered one of the specials on the board - spicy cajun shrimp enchiladas with cajun rice. It was priced at $13.99 which seemed a little high for a lunch entree but not outrageous. It was tasty. My son ordered the coconut shrimp which came with fries, ketchup and some type of sweet dipping sauce. It was delicious but we had to ask for a second serving of ketchup since they provide it for you rather than putting bottled ketchup on the tables. Not everything here is fried. I was surprised to see they had a selection of about 6 healthy looking salads which I will be back to try along with their fried oysters & shrimp. I love the fact that it is not a chain restaurant. The owners are super nice and always make sure their customers are happy. Very comfortable atmosphere. Food is great! Good happy hour on Mondays. They are open 7 days a week too! read more

Average grill and bar sea food. Their clam chowder is pretty good though. Prices are reasonable, not cheap and not expensive.

Our server, Mimi, could not have been any more helpful!!!!! She was so sweet! Knew the menu and had such a great personality! The food and cocktails are amazing! Oysters on the half shell were perfect, followed by the stuffed mushrooms. Then we both got combo fried entrees. Catfish, shrimp, crab cakes and coconut chicken! Everything was excellent!!! Stopped in for late lunch today. Beer was cold and house wine was good. Ordered Calamari for starters, it was fresh and not over cooked. Ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell to eat. Flavor was great. They use real horseradish to mix for the right cocktail sauce flavor. Had shrimp Also, it was great. We are at the bar. The team members are friendly and young. The service was great. The facility was clean and organized. Food prep was good and fast. Kind of a hidden place in Rockwall in the downtown area. Not to busy at lunch. Parking in public parking is well within walking distance. You can go around town after eating and not worry. Plenty of police in the area so your car is safe as it can get here. read more

Once again Pier 101 did not disappoint! We chose delivery via Good to Go in light of the current COVID situation. The oysters, catfish, salad with blackened salmon, redfish and shrimp were all exceptional as always! DELICIOUS! Hi, service is good and we were happy to sit down right away on a Saturday night right after 7, there were 3 of us. However sadly food is good but portions a skimpy compared to same Dishes at other restaurants in the area. For instance Dodies , you can get a big platter of catfish, with fries for similar price ... here you get two pieces with a small handful of fries.. read more

My daughter and I ordered the king crab at market value for $38.00. They were horrible! The shell bent in our hands and the meat was mushy. We used scissors to cut open the crab legs. Upon telling the waitress, nothing was done. You do not serve a $40.00 meal unless you know what you are doing. This was extremely disappointing. The whole meal before tip was $147.00. Fresh seafood, great fried baskets with real ingredients. Wait staff is great, and very professional. I would recommend. This place has my wife's favorite coconut shrimp, they use real coconuts. Stopped here for brunch on a Monday with my parents and sister (tough crowd) on our way out to do a final walk-through. It was 11am and empty but we were not bothered by that at all. The $3.00 mimosas were a happy surprise (they are giant/well made) 3/4 of us ordered the crab Benedict, my mom had an omelette. Service was fast, food was delicious and presentation perfect. Just enough food, well priced and excellent quality. The crab cakes were some of the best I've had-not a lot of filler and the crab quality was fresh/high/delicious. We will most definitely be back with more family and for lunch and dinner. Give this place a try-I do think they're trying to add quick grab and go lunch meals during the week. Great little restaurant off the square! The crab fingers were delicious, as well as the rest of our meal. We also had a salad, the special and dessert. Beautiful presentation, fantastic flavor, everything was brought out timely and the size and temperature were just right. The service was also great!!! 2016 Yelp 100 Challenge Review #85 I tried this place last night. I ordered to-go. I think this place must be fairly new because all of the reviews seem to be fairly recent. Its FB page states it opened on OCtober 25th. To start off, it was a bit of a struggle placing my order - I kept being placed on hold for minutes. I suppose that could be the case on a Saturday night at peak dinner service. I think it can be remedied so hopefully they improve on that. Nevertheless, it didn't ruin it for me. And once, someone got to me the actual ordering was pretty smooth. After perusing the Yelp reviews, I ended up ordering the Alaskan Salmon - blackened with grilled veggies and dirty rice, the coconut shrimp basket with fries, and a cup of gumbo. They did an excellent job of wrapping up all the food to go. I must say, I loved the gumbo. I am not a huge gumbo fan because I do not like all the different varieties - is it a roux gumbo, is it tomato-based gumbo, does it have crabs in it or does it have lump crab meat, is it seafood, chicken gumbo....you get the picture. This gumbo - I liiiiiike! It was still hot when it arrived to me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The coconut shrimp was excellent. The shrimp weren't greasy, had a nice crunch to them and were a good size. I think about 4-5 came in the basket. The fries were good, probably would've been better dining in on a fresh drop. The salmon was excelente as well. I loved the grilled veggies - squash, zucchini, onions, etc. - and the dirty rice was a nice compliment. I also liked the butter sauce that came with it. I squeezed the lemon and topped it with the butter sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of that meal. I cannot wait to try it dining in though I know I have another great go-to option. The meal came to be about $40 and some change which I thought was comparable to the quality of food and the number of items purchased - basically two seafood entrees and a soup. Highly recommended. Will return! I am waiting to dine in to see if it earns a full five stars or to see if my phone-in order experience improves. read more

Husband and I went for first time for lunch. Had oysters on the half shell and shrimp quesadillas. May want to use deveined shrimp and not so much butter to sauté them before constructing quesadilla. If you are looking for good crab legs and great service this is your spot! We did the seafood sampler for two with Cajun seasoning and it easily puts Joe's Crab Shack to shame. To end the meal we got the key lime pie which was the perfect compliment to the Cajun seasoning. My only regret was not getting my own slice!
