I was a little worried to come here based on the reviews, but my in laws really wanted to take us here. We came on a Friday at about 11:30, and we had no problems when it came to seating, servers, etc. We were originally sat at a high table away from the windows with a view of the water (the best part), but we swapped after about 5 minutes after a table opened up. They were very nice and helpful! Our server was very helpful and friendly. Helped us make some food decisions too. My jerk shrimp bowl was good. Not my favorite. The best part was the shrimp and the mango salsa. The coconut rice was quite literally rice with dry, shaved coconut. I was expecting it to be cooked in coconut milk for some reason, so it was a bit of a heavy coconut taste and an odd crunch because it was dried. My boyfriend loved his fish tacos. My father in law had a fried grouper sandwich that he enjoyed, but it fell apart! The piece of fish was too big for the bun so it split into 3 pieces. The outdoors view was very nice with the ocean and beach in the background. The servers can be hit or miss; the one who seated us was very nice and friendly, but the person who took our order seemed to not want to take our order. The food arrived very quickly, and was pretty tasty. But the server carried the bowls on top of each other and ended up cracking the little wooden stick they put in the bowl, and someone accidentally bit into it. They also charged +$2 to sub the rice for salad. I probably will not be coming back, but I'm still glad I tried it. If you decide to come, I highly recommend the pork nachos. read more

The sushi was pretty good. Service was quick, table was outside on the pier so lots of traffic going by. I wish there was a designated sectioned off quieter seating area outdoor. I really liked this place! I was impressed with the menu and happy to see they had quality seafood and sushi options. It didn't feel like a typical beach bar, definitely an upgrade. We loved our waitress, though I wish I remembered her name. I also thought the hostess was very nice in letting us check the space out before we were seated, and pointing us in the right direction so as not to be in the way of the staff's entry and exit door. The key lime pie was some of the best I had in a while. I feel like it's a FL favorite but is hard to come by a good slice. Well done! read more

It's a nice location views of the ocean and beach. At the end of the boardwalk with outside seating when the weather cooperates (not today too windy). Staff if friendly and the menu has lots of choices. The margaritas were ok nothing special and served in plastic cups which is kind of a downer. The food was ok nothing special and not an oh wow I need to come back. The big issue is the parking lot is $10.00 which I understand for beach parking all day. But off season like today it was basically empty and having to pay to park and eat isn't high on my list. Adding a validation and say 90 minute parking limit would be an added benefit. read more

1 star. Zero stars if I could My family and two other families had one of the worst experiences we have ever had at Pier 62 Restaurant and Bar in Cocoa Beach. From the moment we stepped onto the pier, the experience was hostile. I was told to empty my full metal water bottle even though it had just been filled with ice water. Once inside the restaurant, the attitude from management immediately became rude and dismissive. We were a group of 24 across three families, and we were not demanding to all sit at one table. We were simply asking not to be split up into tiny groups scattered all over the restaurant. When we asked whether we could sit closer together, the managers refused to accommodate us and spoke to us with open disrespect. We were flat-out told that no tables would be moved, and at one point we were told, "there is the door." At that point, we decided to leave on our own. We were not causing a scene, not refusing to leave, and not being aggressive. Even after we had already chosen to leave, security followed us extremely closely in a way that felt threatening and completely unnecessary. The most disturbing part of this experience was what happened to my mother, who is a mother of four. While we were already outside and she briefly stopped to look at the ocean, a security guard put his hands on her and violently grabbed her arm. There was no excuse for that. She was not attacking anyone, she was not resisting, and she was not creating any danger. Watching security physically grab her was shocking, unacceptable, and honestly frightening. After that, even more security was called and we were followed until we were completely off the property, even though we had already left on our own. We were treated like criminals for simply trying to eat as a family and then choosing to leave after being treated horribly. This was not just bad service. This was rude management, unnecessary escalation, intimidation, and physical aggression toward a woman who posed no threat. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I was here Monday after returning from a cruise. It wasn't the best weather, however, my husband and I wanted to check out the pier. It was a bit smaller than we thought, but it had a couple of cool gift, shops, an arcade, and a couple places to eat. This restaurant has a bar and patio seating on the pier. The man working the bar also seemed to be the server for the tables. He was super friendly, and kind, which stuck out to me. We initially ordered fries, which came with a large portion. I hadn't seen Fry's like this before, but they were spiraled wedges. We also got the Carne Asada tacos and the Asian salad. Those Carne Asada tacos were seasoned to perfection!! if I was staying longer, I probably would've came again just to get those tacos!! The Asian salad was good, though I felt the dressing could've been a little stronger or had a bit more of a kick. It also seemed like it was missing something... maybe cilantro? I went here with a friend and we ordered drinks. I had a virgin Strawberry Daiquiri and my friend had a beer. We looked the menu over for a while and decided not to get anything for either of us because neither of us were hungry. That being said, there were so many options on the menu there! I was truly blown away by the selection on the menu. They even serve gator on the menu, which I may actually go back again just to try the gator, I believe it was a gator sandwich of some sort. As for the drinks that we ordered. They were great! We had a table with a fantastic view of Cocoa Beach. It was a beautiful evening with views all around from sunsets to cruise ships on the water. We ended up staying a good amount of time at Pier 62. The entire time we were at the restaurant we were greeted by the wonderful friendly servers and staff there, we were truly greatful for the fantastic service and the beautiful experience. read more

Absolutely terrible experience at Rikki Tiki Tavern. We came in with a large group (around 24 people) and were actually seated by staff--but there weren't enough chairs. Instead of helping fix THEIR mistake, we simply used a nearby table to make room. We didn't "seat ourselves" or do anything wrong. Out of nowhere, staff got an attitude and told us to leave instead of working with us like any normal restaurant would. Then, for no reason, they brought SECURITY to escort us out like we were causing a scene--when we were literally already cooperating and leaving. To make it worse, when my mom tried to go back in to speak to a manager, a security guard put his hands on her to stop her. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional. This place clearly has no idea how to handle large groups and jumps straight to escalation instead of basic customer service. Rude staff, poor management, and an embarrassing way to treat paying customers. Would not recommend at all. If there was a zero star option I would do that read more

This place has a beautiful view over the ocean in the inside restaurant. We've eaten on the pier a number of times but this is our first time inside. We ordered calamari which was very good came out a little colder than I'd like it and we had to ask for appetizer plates (plastic) since we were splitting the appetizer. The cups are plastic. We just had water. I looked around and everyone in the entire restaurant had their drinks in a plastic cup. The music is a little loud for an indoor eating space. My husband had the firecracker shrimp bowl which he rated a 9. I had fish chowder which I thought was very good but if you don't like black pepper it is pretty peppery. Overall we would come back again. You'll have to come early to see the Ocean from the restaurant since it gets darker earlier in the winter! read more

We were refused service at the age of 38 because our Canadian driver's license wasn't good enough. We drove in from Kissimmee with our 70 year old parents to have some drinks on the pier and it was just such a shame we couldn't. Our server cast us a suspicious glance and it was in general just an unpleasant experience being treated kind of rudely about not bringing our passports with us. We don't want to bring passports everywhere we go, and we read up on Florida legislation which said our driver's license would be just fine. We really wish this hadn't happened, and I literally have white hair in my beard, so it was just a bummer. read more

The sights of the beach while eating were great also, and the customer service was top notch. Food and drinks came out quick. A casual spot right in the middle of the boardwalk. The view is stunning! Seeing the waves crash and the sun set is one of the most beautiful spots to catch a drink and simple meal. It's a beach tourist spot. It isn't for someone looking for anything more than a laid back, expensive and under whelming meal.m with a great view! If this place existed anywhere other than the pier, it just might not survive. But it's a great location and so fun to take company to to see the sights, feel the salty air and have some seafood. The fish dip is cold... had we read the menu more clearly it would not have been ordered. However! The flavor was pretty good and the chips were salty. Basic but enjoyable. The coconut shrimp are heavy on coconut flavor with a good crunch. Always a must order here. The drinks are fairly strong and very fruity! Great if you have a sweet tooth. Even though this place has a very basic menu with absolutely no unique offerings and your usual high prices for something very underwhelming.. The Frozen Virgin Mango Daiquiri was both refreshing and sweet! No straw required for this cooling spoonable cocktail, my daughter and I love mango and the flavor was spot on! I've always wanted to try a Lobster Roll and I wasn't disappointed, it was served on the classic buttered toasted roll from Boston, spiced just right and sauced. The lobster was mouthwatering and tender, it's well worth the price tag and let's talk about those Seasoned Sidewinder Fries! You cannot go wrong there, I loved the fun unique shape, my daughter loved her hot dog, she devoured it and the amazing fries as well! I would definitely recommend paying a visit to just one of the many restaurants in Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier! Our sweet server was both prompt and helpful! Do not waste your taste buds on this place. This is a tourist trap. You might as well go to McDonald's and take it to the beach and you will be eating fine dining compared to what this place serves. This place is just way overpriced for what it is. Your paying for the location. The fish (fish and chips) wasn't really cooked all the way it was still clear. It was quite a small portion of fish for 17$ the batter they fried the fish in was a bit off.. the texture just wasn't there for me. The sidewinder fries were probably the best part of my meal. The fish had no taste to it was very bland.. The service was okay, our server took a really long time to keep getting back to us we waited for like 20 minutes after asking for our checks and it was getting chilly I was really disappointed in the fact they only had coleslaw and fries as sides.. especially for the price. When going here note your definitely just paying for location.. there is probably a million better places to eat around here than this it's definitely just a tourist spot.. my boyfriend said his sandwich was good but small. I would not return to this spot and give it another try due to how overly priced everything is. I would agree with most of the reviews that you are paying for location not the quality of food or service. The server we had was not personable and didn't give us much time of day. The food wasn't anything great and overpriced. Not to mention the portions weren't the biggest for the price. I would not eat here again. The fish and chips were delicious. Fish was fresh and batter was crispy. The chips/fries were cut differently than traditional fries and were great. Crab and shrimp dip was decent but the tortilla chips weren't great. Tasted a little stale. Only complaint was the pier and security. We had been seated at our table and my daughter and her boyfriend went to go shopping in the shops for some sun glasses and when they returned were not let in. When she stated she had a reservation and had a table already she was mocked and called a liar by security. There was plenty of tables empty so not sure why they close the pier and not let anyone in but it was definitely a let down on the lack of professionalism of the security team. The beaches were overcrowded and not worth the 1 hour drive from Orlando. Parking was awful as well.. $30 to park.. We have visited other beaches in Florida and Coco Beach and pier should be avoided. read more

A cold beer and some baked clams, fried oysters, gator and shrimp makes everything alright. Blackened fish tacos were spicy and delish. Walk further on the pier, and you'll bump into fishermen. My husband and I had lunch here last weekend and it was delicious. Pelican's bar and grill is one of the places to eat on the Cocoa Beach pier. Our waiter, David, was awesome. Service was fast, freshly cooked and accurate. We ate at an outside table and it was relaxing. I had a virgin Mango daiquiri and my husband got a key lime daiquiri. Both were delicious, but the key lime daiquiri was better. It was creamy, perfectly thick and had a delicious key lime flavor. We split the hot peel and eat shrimp which were large, fresh, cooked perfectly and had savory cocktail sauce with it. We split the fish tacos with added tomato and cheese. The tacos were fresh, cooked perfectly and so flavorful. The fries were crispy and seasoned. Rating from F to A+++ I give it an A+++. I would definitely eat here again. read more

I love panko chicken and order it at a lot of various restaurants as well as making it at home so when I brought it up to my waitress that it was burnt, she said its supposed to be like that and the panko looks burnt but isnt. A bit disappointed in the calamari for the price. It was a small amount for $16. Flavor-wise, pretty good. Crispy and I love that it came with sweet chili sauce. I prefer it over marinara anyways. The Crab Cake Sandwich was my favorite- ended up eating half of it with my SO since I couldn't get through my Aloha chicken. The drinks aren't strong, tastes like icees or smoothies. that's more my taste though- sweet and icy. After 2 sanwiches, 2 drinks, and one app & 20% tip, came to $92. This is the prototypical "end of the pier" restaurant that almost every tourist attraction pier has. They serve to cater the mass amounts of tourists that gather in the area for convenience; us included. We visited Pelican's on March 28th, 2022. This establishment had a decent selection of local craft beers on tap which is always a good start for me. Our server was very good and had a great sense of humor. Unfortunately, they were out of oysters. Ultimately, I ordered the Florida Gator Melt with a Sidewinder Fries. They gator itself was seasoned and cooked very nicely. I have only previously had fried gator tail so to have it ground and in patty form was a delightful surprise. However, that was the only remarkable part of the sandwich. The rest of what made up the sandwich; the tomato, lettuce, pickles, cheese, and bun, seemed to be subpar quality. The sidewinder fries were fresh and seasoned perfectly. They had the initial crisp and the hot and steamy center. Overall the experience was okay. It was reminiscent of a local theme parks dining facilities. We were not expected a 5 star dining establishment. This place is perfect for anyone that has been at the beach all day and want to grab a bite to eat before packing up and hitting the road. But for a little more searching and and effort, you can find another bar/grill that can deliver a higher dining experience. read more
