One of the worst pawnshops ive been too. I managed a…read morepawnshop in Arizona for 5 years (Pawn 1st) so I know all the bullshit tricks bad employees used to get over on customers. I brought in a diamond cross pendant and chain to sell. The tall, big heavyset guy tried to lie to me and said the diamonds were moissanite. I told him it was bullshit and told him to retest them I know their employee came over and tested them, said that the diamonds are real the machine was dirty (which can happen with those diamond testers) even after them being real. They then turn around and say we don't pay on the diamonds. Which is a scumbag move because they're gonna sell it for golden diamonds. Then I had a Tiffany's bracelet to sell. He tried to offer me $30 and said he doesn't know if it's Tiffany's or not. lol Part of being in this industry is you learn how to tell if things are authentic or not. I feel bad for the people that are desperate that take the little bullshit money these scumbags offer I would not recommend going there

I have never been treated so badly as the way I was treated at GOLD MINE JEWELERS on Merritt…read moreIsland. Here is what I wrote and posted on Facebook and Nextdoor Neighbor which covers the local area. I have had two negative experiences with Gold Mine. Never-the-less, I gave the store a third chance. Two weeks ago, I brought in two rings for repair. I needed them ASAP as I was going to an out of town, black tie event. Two weeks later I called on a Saturday and a man perhaps the jeweler told me the rings would be ready on Monday; I was there Tuesday. At first, the staff couldn't find my rings. The blue haired man (someone please tell him he looks ridiculous like a Smurf). I was holding my receipt when another man, tall with dark hair, came over and ripped my receipt out of my hand, resulting on my receipt being torn in half and giving me a nasty paper cut. When they finally gave me my rings back noticed that now, three stones were missing on my cz diamond ring. Why did the jeweler pull out the stones and not fix the ring? As I left, Smurf yelled out that I should never come back. (HE ALSO YELLED OUT A DISPARING REMARF ABOUT MY ATTIRE, "DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT!". To add insult to injury, when I arrived home, I noticed that Smurf returned to me the wrong stones! When I called him, he told me not to come back to the store as he will have me arrested for tresspassing. I laughed. Gold Mine has possession of my two expensive gold, emerald and diamond rings and it is denying me access to retrieve them. I told Smurf head that I would call the police as he is committing THEFT. I am a retired VP of Citibank in NYC and I know bad business practices when I see them... and experience them. My question is, doesn't the owner know how his employees are behaving with the customers? Is a person selling gold and diamonds look professional with Smurf hair? And doesn't he know that he one is ripping receipts out of client's hands? Who does this?
