Jill is a wonderful person and a great piercer! At first I was unsure as her business is operated out of her home. At first this can cause someone to question her legitimacy or quality. But let me assure you she is 100% legit! After reading reviews and seeing she was one of the most highly rated piercers in the triad I decide to contact her. She was knowledgeable, communicative, and kind. In addition she is very transparent with a great website with all her pricing. And booking an appointment is very easy. So I decided to book. She has been doing this for 17 years and it shows. She has all the proper equipment and everything is clean and sterile and she takes great pride in keeping it this way, even asking clients to wear masks (as does she). In addition she did not make me feel rushed or shamed when we moved the dots around. She clearly does this for the joy and only second for the money, so her kindness and patience and desire to get it just right and exactly how you want it shines! I got both my helix and conch pierced. (But she does every piercing imaginable.) I can't say they were painless. But I have had my helix pierced before and it was a normal level of pain and she was swift and as gentle as one can be while putting a needle in your body. Just to prove how exceptional she is and how her reputation truly precedes her.... About two weeks after my piercings I was at the salon getting my haircut. As I was instructing my stylist to be very aware and careful around my ears she inquired about my piercings as she was thinking about piercings herself. While explaining the piercings to her and telling her about Jill the other ladies in the salon piped up. Of the four women in the salon, including myself, three of us had been pierced by her or knew someone who had been and all were tremendously happy with the results! The only remotely negative thing I can say is her jewelry selection is very limited. Just basic steel barbels and hoops with ball caps with a handful of gemstone color selections. This is the one thing not made extremely clear on her website. So if you want something more sparkly come prepared. She has no issue using jewelry you bring with you as long as it meets her standards (so do speak with her before buying jewelry to bring). Bringing your own jewelry does not reduce the price (but this is normal among piercers.) I had decided to pierce my conch at the last minute and had nothing so I ended up having a plain silver hoop. But I had brought a piece I previously had for my helix (curved barbell with spiked tips). And since you aren't supposed to change the jewelry for up to a year you may want to do some research and invest in a piece that works for a healing piercing and fits your style. Jill is an experienced and knowledgeable professional! 10/10 recommend for multiple reasons-- read through my review! When I decided to get pierced, I found her positive reviews on yelp. So I texted her website phone number and she responded within the hour, very promptly and had an open spot later that day. She sent me the consent forms via text so I could fill it out before getting to her. She does the piercings out of her own home in Greensboro, which was not weird at all, she clearly had all the proper medical supplies, everything was sterile, she took my temperature before I entered her home, and she made me feel very comfortable in her house. I got a nose piercing and a navel piercing. The nose one I wanted specifically to cover a mole that I had and Jill was very nice about it and abided by my request. For the navel, I had gotten it done almost 10 years ago but it since closed up, but again with that, I asked Jill if she can do it in a way that will cover the old hole. and she was again, able to figure out a solution to accomodate my request. Another wonderful thing about Jill is her availability and willingness to help. The night of, the end of my inside nostril part was poking out of my nostril, just due to being rotated. Me being very anxious, texted her right away at 11pm and she responded within minutes and told me what to do (turns out just had to turn it the other way with clean finger). Then 3 days later, I woke up and completely couldn't see the jeweled end of my nose ring. I totally panicked and thought that somehow the top got undone and lost in my bed overnight? I texted her w the explanation and even with pictures, and again, she answered all my concerns over text very clearly and then made time to see me that same day to fix it. Turns out sometimes, as a rare occurence, the nose can swell so much it sort of "covers" up the jewelry. She fixed it and gave instructions about taking ibuprofen. She did this all free of charge and was very patient with me sending her a barrage of anxious texts. She does have a small selection of jewelry in her home, so one caveat is a smaller selection compared to going to a bigger shop--however the amount of personal care and attention is MORE than worth it. I would much rather have an experienced, kind and caring piercer than just have an extra one or two jewelry items to select from. She also offered to help me change out my nose ring later when it is healed and I will definitely be going back to her if I ever decide to get more piercings and referring any friends I have to her! Also one thing cool is that she accepts Venmo for payment! Makes things so easy, I was able to Venmo no problem. read more

I've been to Jill twice this year for piercings and each time has been great. Necessary health precautions for COVID are all in place (hand sanitizer, masks, temperature checks, etc) and all equipment and jewelry properly sterilized. She is very thorough in walking you through the process for your piercing, making sure you're happy with jewelry placement and answering any and all questions you have before getting started. She reviews your aftercare process when you're done and also gives you that information on a handout sheet so that you have it with you for reference. She only spent about 10 minutes piercing me, and three days after getting pierced I got a really bad infection. I cleaned it properly twice a day before the infection, and when I went to urgent care they even said that it must have been from the piercer because the infection was too bad for that short amount of time. read more

Originally, I was going to give a 3 star rating based on my piercing be straight and that's about it. Jill wasn't welcoming when I went to her home, didn't hold much of a conversation, even though I was speaking and asking questions. I got my septum and nose pierced, when the needle went in for the septum it triggered sneezing (I wasn't made aware) but I covered my mouth of course. Well... Jill hopped so far across her kitchen when I sneezed she made me feel like I was diseased! Literally hopped across the kitchen. Moving on, I paid $60 for my nose and $70 for my septum and that's my fault for not doing more research (BTW ITS $70 for 2 piercings at LITTLE JOHNS!!) Paid $130.00! Overnight my ball came off the septum piercing-4 days old!- I contacted Jill as soon as I noticed it was off 2:09pm today, she responded at 5:11pm today and said it will be a $20 service fee to put the ball back on!!!! RIDICULOUS! Not only did it take 3 hours to respond via text but to charge $20 to put a ball on... no good. After waiting an hour for her to respond I went to another piercer and they put my ball back on for FREE! I would not refer Jill... no customer service, piercing prices are too much and if you're a person like me that is kind, smiles, and hold chit chat when getting services- ALL-IN-ALL hospitable!
