Beef Stew with Potato Pancakes - Beef stew had amazing flavors. The potato pancakes were a bit overcooked, (burnt edges), it's Ok. Polish Prince Platter - Everything was delicious! Grilled Polish sausage with sauerkraut, stuffed cabbage with tomato sauce, 6 pierogis, we went with potato & farmers cheese. Pierogis were pan fried for an extra $2. They also have some Polish/European grocery staples, frozen pierogis, deli meats/sausages for sale. We bought some kabanosy and Polish grilling sausages, which were delicious! (We grilled ourselves later) Good parking and casual atmosphere. We will return when back in the area. read more

This place should be called Pierogi Heaven, because that's what it is. The Zour Soup is other-worldly good and the blintzes are surely Satan's handiwork. They're not the best at the potato pancakes but theirs are still considerably better than no potato pancakes. My girlfriend ordered chicken livers. (I love her because she's weird). They're delicious. I've never said, "wow those mashed potatoes" before this place. What's really cool about this European diner and market is that the decor highlights the little known, (some say infamous), Polish pyramids. All the lampshades have Polish hieroglyphics on them and the walls are reminiscent of a Polish pharaohs tomb. You'll never use the Polish pyramids salt and pepper shakers because everything is perfectly seasoned but it's a nice way to make you feel like you're back in mother Poland. On a Sunday afternoon they were only a little busy and the service was spectacular. Food was hot upon arriving and our server warm and welcoming. The world would be a better place if people would just eat more Pierogies. Quit being a jerk and go order some. read more

Because a visit was a long time comin' and was totally worth it. --- --- --- I've driven past Pierogi Grill at least 100 times, and I'm pretty sure I've said or thought, "I need to go there" every time. After a visit was finally became a reality, I was not let down. I was surprised that the decor came off more "Egyptian" than "Polish" but I like Egyptians and their decorating abilities. I was hoping to see some super pale Pollocks that add "-ski" onto most words, but that did not happen, unfortunately. What did happen was an order of potato pancakes and cheddar/potato pierogies. They were exactly what I left my house in search for - delicious carbs form the old country-ski. I was shocked at the amount of sour cream they give you for a small plate of pierogis. I probably used 5-10% of what I was given. Do people really pile the sour cream on so much that you can't even taste the potato and the precious cheddar?? I want to make a return visit...I'll just probably have to drive by it 100 times again first. read more

I'm going five stars for this cray cray old school retro funky decor Polish craziness homestyle cooking, market and experience. Get the $29.99 meal for two. Don't ask the Polish lady how it's going. She doesn't speak English. But this is a fun adventure and a very different and authentic diner style grandma's borscht style place. Nothing fancy. Nothing high falutin. Some weird old guy at another table may stare at you during your whole meal.. But the dinner for two comes with a keilbasa to take home with you. No I am not kidding. And there's a grocery store, lots of Polish sausages, poppy seed desserts and really everything is rich and delicious. So fill up and polka. The first thing you may wonder when walking into the Pierogi Grill is, "What's up with the pyramids / Egyptian motif? Is this a Polish restaurant or what?" Well we did inquire and the story goes that the owner, from Poland, actually has several Egyptian restaurants in Poland and thought he would bring his Egyptian concept to Clearwater. Now how the transition to Polish occurred, I'm not exactly sure, but while the menu did change, the decor did not. And that's why you are eating Polish food surrounded by Egyptian decor. We were very happy with the POLISH SAUSAGE & PIEROGI - I would honestly say the pierogi are as good as my Babcia used to make (in particular the Sauerkraut & Mushrooms). You can get them boiled (the way I ate them when I could not wait, since they are boiled first), pan fried in butter (the way I ate them when I could wait, since they are boiled then pan fried), or deep fried (I never heard of this, and was afraid to try it... But thinking back it might be a good option with the sweet pierogi, Strawberry, Blueberry, Plums, Cherry and Sweet Cheese). We were not so happy with the Stuffed Cabbage Roll (GOLABEK), as it was a bit dry. [edit] In reading through the other reviews, perhaps it was an off night for the golabek, as there do not seem to be any other complaints. The Napoleon-Kremowka - cream cake desert (see photos) was OK, but the Hot Plum strudel had a funny taste (like the oven was not burning fuel properly and imparted an odd propane taste). At first I thought it was just me, but on the ride home I learned we all felt the same way. While overall I think our experience might be best described as A-OK, the fact that the pierogi were so good, and the flavor options copious, I really can't go less than 4 stars. But the misses are enough to keep me from going 5 stars. I would definitely come back for more pierogi (come to think of it, I should have gotten some to go), and to try some of the other sausage options... It's just too bad it's such a haul from Pass-a-Grille (our base camp). PS. I indicated "Has TV - Yes", but the shows were in Polish (from a Chicago station I think). The food is so amazing, you will have a hard time picking just one thing....so do like us...order several! on this trip we had the Stuffed Cabbage Roll (Golabek), caesar salad, dill pickle soup, Ukrainian Borsh soup, and the mixed pierogi plate. Hello deliciousness!!! The cabbage roll was tender, filled with beef and rice topped with a tomato sauce. The dill pickle soup (creamy pickle soup with potatoes, carrots & sour cream) was OUT of this world! Ukrainian Borsh soup (cabbage, beets, potatoes, onions, beans, and dill) had me dancing in my seat with such flavor. The pierogi platter was 6 of each, spinach and beef/kraut/bacon/onion....oh so good! I have had the Schnitzel, the Polish Sausage, meat platter, and I have had the potato pancakes....all worth writing home about. I will be back...again and again.... This is actually rediscovered restaurant when my wife have a conversation which restaurant has pierogi polish food. The restaurant is part serving food restaurant and part grocery store. We follow the recommendations of friend review to order the Two for Thirty dish. This dish come with every combination with sampler of the restaurant menu. It includes the pierogi, staff cabbage roll, grill pork kielbasa, potato pancake, pork schnitzel, two soups and desserts. It is very good value. The pork schnitzel is deep fried and top with sauce. That sauce has fragrant smell and I am impressed by the cooking. The soup we have are Borsh and the tripe soup. The Borsh in the red beet broth with small pierogi. The tripe soup is pressure cook and soften. They are delicious for the soup. The dessert we have are the coconut banana cake and the poppy seed cake. Both of the desserts are super good. One of the foodie wives (NOT ME) selects the place and we all meet at the appointed time and eat. Tonight, this was our second choice. Our first choice didn't have any openings for our group nod nine until 8:30pm. The Perogie Grill is an interesting place to say the least with its "Egyptian" decor and the Polish food. Our group came in in fits and starts but by 7 we were finally all together. Our waitress seemed... scattered? We placed our drink orders and it took 15 minutes for my iced tea to get to us. No, she didn't have many other tables. When we placed our orders, they didn't all come out together either. One of our party's order was either taken incorrectly or forgotten all together, so when we all had our food, he had nothing and had to wait. The service was sloppy and rather poor. The waitress stepped on one of the wives foot 3 times. The food though was consistently good. I had the pork schnitzel with 6 perogi- potato and cheddar, it was very food, but oily. Something that a few hours later my stomach is not happy with... at all. Over all, I don't think I'd return based on tonight's experience. read more

The food is good I wouldn't say that it was the best Polish food I've had but generally The Taste is very good. The restaurant itself is very clean even the silk plants are dust free. I typically start with the Yelp elite reviews, and then work my way to the other reviews. My sister and I decided to check it out, and what a good decision. The roommate's recommendation turned out to be a good one. We ordered potato pancakes with sour cream and applesauce on the side. We ordered pierogi's. Stopped while on vacation - so happy we did! Coming from a very authentic polish family, I had tough standards and they met them. Pierogis (we got them pan fried) were great, chicken cutlet was amazing and the mash is just how my Babczia makes it. I was one very happy very full tourist leaving here! The police car out front caught our eye and I hope to return to eat next time we're down in Florida. Only thing that disappointed was the chicken noodle soup, but I'm willing to forgive because everything else was so good.
