This place has a very cozy atmosphere, with a fireplace and lots of seating. The menu has lots of choices, and I went with the chicken piccata. It was very tasty and the perfect portion size. The bruschetta appetizer is also very good, and they give you free bread rolls to start with. At first the service was slow, as we didn't get helped for a while, but once we did the service was great after that and the servers were very friendly. I'd definitely come back to try more menu items! read more

This is a great place to eat. It had a delicious looking menu and great service. I got the gluten free shrimp scampi and my hubby got the ribeye with mashed potatoes. The breadsticks were so so good. They were made fresh. Our son got a person sized pizza made to order. My shrimp dish was divine, seriously the best shrimp I've had in ages. The atmosphere was upscale and relaxed. Food was excellent but not consistent with the portions. Had lunch with a friend and we ordered fish . It was fresh, delicious and the portions were good. I Took my friends (8) for lunch the fish portion were smaller and one entree of fish was so small and over cooked . I was so sorry that I recommended it. The other friends who did not order fish were satisfied with what they ordered. Service was excellent the first time but the second time it was bad. Ambiance is excellent. This review has been a long time coming. We have been here at least five times and we have never had a bad meal. The service is impeccable, and I don't say that lightly. Also, when I say, we have never had a bad meal, I have never said that in any review. We have had a variety of meals here. Such as various pasta dishes, all served Al Dante with great flavor. The most expensive cheeseburger I've ever had but worth every penny of it. And my favorite, lollipop lamb chops cooked just the way you order it. Everything has been excellent!! The inside to me gives a feeling of old world Europe. The tables have linen and are changed when needed. We have enjoyed being served by Tom and Allen, who take the time and explain any questions you may have with great detail. Very professional. I know with Yelp, five stars is an excellent rating. The Daily News restaurant deserves an elusive sixth star in my opinion. This is one of Pinellas counties fine dining establishments. read more

The decor is dark and a bit odd (I spent considerable time studying the life sized dolls near the ceiling), and I wasn't sure what food they consider their speciality. I had the chicken Parmesan and it was mediocre with about a tablespoon of sauce. The side pasta wasn't anything to write home about. I was not offered a chance for a second cocktail. The service was decent for our large group of ten, and the price wasn't worth what I received. It wasn't my cup of tea, and from what I gather caters more to the over 65 crowd. read more

Lunch with family at this restaurant today and we were all impressed. Nicely decorated, attentive staff & great food. Our only disappointment was that we didn't go for dinner since the menu is much more extensive then! Fav's were the Spinach Ravioli, the Lamb Kabobs, the Turkish coffee, and the Knafeh (a Middle Eastern dessert). Everything seems to be made in house - dressing, real mashed potatoes, etc. Talked to the new owner; she's only had the restaurant for the last month or so and plans some improvements in the future - we look forward to returning often! read more

We really enjoyed our first visit here despite a few weaknesses. We arrived at 8:00 on a quiet Tuesday night in July and were one of just a few occupied tables. The atmosphere is lovely with soft lighting and piano music. I ordered the Cacio e Pepe and added Shrimp. Hubby ordered the Ribeye which came with truffle mashed potatoes & veggies. I had the house salad and he had the soup. The bread was hot, fresh and yummy. I don't get the complaints about the bread being "burnt". It was clearly freshly baked with a few slightly charred spots here & there which we felt added to the flavor. My salad was simple but cold & fresh with a nice sweet Italian vinaigrette. The soup was also very good. My entree was very good and the shrimp were perfection...but this was Fettucine Alfredo (actually it may have been Tagliatelle); NOT Cacio e Pepe. Not even close. Cacio e Pepe is always spaghetti and has only pecorino cheese, a bit of pasta water, and tons of black pepper. That's it. This was very definitely a flat pasta in a creamy, cheesy, Alfredo sauce. It was tasty but I was a disappointed that they didn't seem to know the difference. The mashed potatoes were good although we didn't pick up very much truffle flavor. The side sauce was delicious but the steak itself was a disappointment. It was cut too thin for a ribeye (butcher's daughter here) and was cooked way past medium rare - both of which of course made it quite tough. It takes effort to cook a tough ribeye and at $40 we expected more. Overall we had a lovely evening and we will return. Tom was an amazing server and that went a long way toward our forgiveness of the pasta and steak mishaps. However at these prices they really need to address the quality & preparation of their meat..and maybe pick up a cookbook on Italian Cooking 101. read more

Everything was fantastic, the Owners Celine & Martin thought of everything for us, and we had an amazing evening. The salmon was off the charts good, so was the braised short rib. A group of 7 of us went for dinner May 22. The drink service was slow. Two of our friends had the meat lasagna special and they both came out cold. Another friend had the strip steak and it was very tough. although I had the lobster ravioli and it was good but way too much sauce. read more

I had one of the best burgers I've had in this area. My only complaint is that the fries were those frozen ones that look battered. I would prefer shoestring or steak fries. read more

I would have given it a solid 4 stars, but..... The housemade Baklava was simply the best, most out-of-this world baklava I have ever had. The wine menu needs an update - tried to order three different bottles and they weren't available. It took so long for a wine to finally come to the table that our appetizers arrived before the wine. The grilled octopus was so tough that it was returned. The mains came so quickly that someone had to come to the table to take away the appetizer plates before one was even finished eating. Our friends' group has eaten here a few times in the past year and had great experiences each time. However, on Christmas Day 2025, we were very disappointed in the food quality and service. The service was very slow due to what appeared to be short staffing and inexperienced servers. After 45+ minutes from ordering, salads were served, then entrees were brought a few minutes later. The prime rib was overcooked and over-salted to the point of being inedible. It was on the Christmas Eve menu as well but didn't appear to be freshly cooked, just heated up from evening before. At $55.00 per entree, the food quality was poor & our expectations were not met this time. Spoke to the manager on duty & he was very apologetic; he provided a dessert to-go for each of us. While appreciated, we are unlikely to go back any time soon. read more

We had the filet and it was cooked to perfection we also had the lamp chops, salmon and chicken quesadillas:-) everything was beautiful prepared and delicious. Went there last week by accident. My wife and I have been having a hard time finding an all around good restaurant in the area. We believe we found it. She had a grilled chicken, I the bronzino, octopus to share the same with the baklava. Everything was dome just right. What a sweet shocking little surprise this restaurant is! The owner greeted us and was warm and friendly. You could see the guests all enjoying their time as well. The food was great! Very pretty.
