We are in town for a visit w/very close friends. They said they had heard this place was good.....no lie!! Small place right on the GOTL strip. It only has about 15 tables if that many. There is an area right in view where they prep the plates. They started w/a basket of delicious bread and we ordered a bruschetta starter. Delicious....Then a great salad w/homemade balsamic, (yum). I ordered the chicken parm. It was fabulous and a huge portion. Two ordered the special Cajun Alfredo Parmesan chicken. Also fabulous! And lastly one had bolognese which had beef, pork and veal. Excellent as well. Then dessert. One had a beautiful cannoli, one death by chocolate and the prize goes to the limoncello cake!!! It was the best I have ever eaten. Very fast efficient service.... The people working in the restaurant were just flat out rude. My boyfriend and I went in to place a togo order tonight and were met with attitude from both the lady cooking and the lady working the register. We were told that they were behind and would not be able to fulfill the order until 7:45 pm. When we tried to place the togo order for 7:45 the people working told us that they weren't taking togo orders anymore. The restaurant seems to be unorganized and extremely terrible with customer service. First and foremost, the pasta is NOT homemade......at least the spaghetti and fettuccini are not, they come from a box...the other pastas on the menu, I did not try so I do not know. Considering the size of the place I find it hard to believe that they have the capabilities nor the room to make any homemade pasta there, unless it made offsite. Second - no bread or water is complimentary, you read that right, you have to pay for water and bread if you would like it with you meal. No drinks are complimentary. When we said we would split a water the waitress gave us a very nasty look. A very small glass (maybe 3 ounce) of local Geneva wine was $10. Third - the prices are exorbitant. $28 for chicken parmesan.$20 for fettuccini (if you want chicken chunks of chicken, not a whole breast)) with it it is another $9.) Spaghetti is $18, but if you want 2 meatballs it is another $8, that is correct $4 for one meatball and you cannot order one, you MUST buy 2. dinners do, however, come with a small salad. Fourth - cleanliness is not a priority here. Not the cleanest tables nor floor, and do NOT go to the restroom and see what is behind the curtain....oh my god! one restroom, with 2 stalls....one stall labeled for men, and one stall labeled for women....you read that correctly also...one room, 2 toilets.......my my my. The place is extremely over-crowded, the couple next to us were less than 3 feet away. Finally - the food was good, but not THAT good: for 2 meals with one water and one glass of wine + tip it was $77.....needless to say we will never go back, much cleaner and better places to eat in GOTL for a lot less money that are just as good, if nor better.....and, i do not know how it is legal, they add a 3.5 % surcharge to your bill for eating in the place and not getting your food to go. read more

We were seated as we walked in. The service was very quick. However some things I noticed, there's a sign stating parties of 5 or more can only do one check which I thought was very strange. There's also a 3.5% dine in fee which I found weird. We got our food fairly quick which was hot and pretty good to say the least. The ambiance used to look so much more appealing and had character, but now it's just pretty boring. Total was around $140 (on one check ofc) so not awfully priced but just the food was quite pricey (some of it at least) Overall it was fine those rules just struck me strange. We've passed this place year after year without going in, and boy were we missing out! It's not big by any means, but very cozy. The kitchen is out in the open and it"s neat to see all the hard work they put into their dishes. I ordered the cheese ravioli and the sauce was the best sauce I've ever had in my life. I was sopping it up with the last piece of bread we got. The ravioli was also cooked to perfection- not too hard or soft. The house salad was really fresh and the vinagarette dressing was tasty as well. Took a piece of the lemon cake to go, and it was also extremely delicious. My husband got chicken parm, and shrimp cocktail, nd he loved both. The portion was huge! All of the portions were huge and you definitely get a great sized meal for the price (the pasta meals come with salads, by the way!) It was super busy and more and more people were lined up for tables, so hopefully we can come by one More time on our trip if it's not too busy! The service was fine, but the food was poor. We had 2 different pasta dishes, neither was fresh or flavorful. The creamy pesto dish was more cream than pesto and too thin. My garlic evo pasta tasted poorly and contained jarred garlic, not fresh. The food was just too poor for the price of the meal. read more

Some of the best Italian cuisine around. Fresh and authentic, all love goes into the food, And you will taste it! Last time I visited, food was being served on plastic plates and the tables are seated quite close together. No issues. It's amazing. The chicken Alfredo is creamy and fresh, the sauce consistency is perfect. Spaghetti and meatballs is cooked to perfection with a marinara on the sweeter side. I've tried to order chiken parmesan 3 times, but it's been sold out everytime. From what I've heard, it's the best chicken parmesan. Absolutely love this place and wish it was open year round. Definitely give it a try. They stop sitting customers 15 mins before closing time, so keep that in mind, if you're driving in from a distance, call for a reservation. read more

I love how Joe cooks all the meals in front of you and he is so personable. This is our new weekend dinner place. With all the hype about this place on yelp maybe I went into this with too high of expectations. I was truly disappointed with my experience here. Walking in, this space is tiny. The kitchen is open and to your left. The menu is above the cook. You can choose from a few different types of pastas, a few proteins, and a few sauces. With pasta in the name I'd expect fresh pasta. Hell, even reading other reviews they speak of fresh pasta. Well I asked, and I was told they simply don't have the time to make their pasta fresh so it's sourced. I should have walked then and there. Alas, based on previous reviews I decided to stay and give it a shot. We sat in the far corner, next to a fan, hoping to not sweat to death. That didn't happen. It had to of been over 90* inside. I was miserable. I actually had to get up and go outside twice to get some air. It must have been 20* cooler outside! To the owner, shame on you. The prices you want to charge and you can't even see to your guests comfort? The food was also a letdown. I honestly think I've made better pasta at home using fresh pasta from a grocery store and canned sauce. My pasta was slightly undercooked. The sauce was pretty bland. The veal meatballs however were very good. Tender and tasty. The muscles were also in a nice light sauce that we both enjoyed. We stopped by on our way through from Chicago to New Jersey. It is a casual quaint hole in the wall restaurant that wouldn't stand out if not suggested to us by a local shop owner. While the food is the typical delicious Italian we are used to in Northern New Jersey the experience is made special with several other aspects. The weight staff is friendly and helpful while the food is prepared right in front of you. The kitchen; like a pizza place, is located along the side of dining area completely open for all diners to watch! This creates a comfortable and mouth watering experience for everyone. I've been a few times and each time the menu enticed me but the final product just let me down. Piero's is run by Gian Piero, a native Italian who can, at first glance, seem a little gruff and more than a little intimidating. Get to know him a bit and you'll discover he's a charming fellow with an interesting tale to tell about how he landed in a small resort town in eastern Ohio. Putting aside personalities, the food is excellent. Piero cooks it (mostly) by himself in a kitchen that's so close to the dining room it seems like an integral part of it. His pasta is tasty and always cooked to perfection. The sauces are flavorful and become part of, but don't overpower, the pasta. He does some very nice seafood dishes, depending on what's fresh. Seafood is usually grilled. Keep in mind this is a casual restaurant. It can be close quarters. It can be a little hot. But it's well worth the stop, and coming from Pittsburgh (2.5 hours away), this is a must stop for us. A couple of words to the wise: (1) it gets crowded and you may have to wait outside if you come during prime time on a weekend; (2) the restaurant closes at 9:00 p.m. usually, and may close earlier if they're not busy, so keep that in mind when deciding when to show up. read more

We discovered this place about 20 years ago. We had a summer tradition of a family day trip to GOTL and the mission was to find a decent restaurant for dinner. Nothing in GOTL is fancy. Eddies is No 1 and we refer to it as "swat the flies while you eat" lol. We had tried every restaurant and are so happy we finally found Pieros Pasta House. It's not fancy, but Cindy and JP have done the best they can to make what they have to work with homey. Close your eyes and imagine an Italian garden; listen to the Italian music in the background. True, there's no AC, but remember where you are: GOTL. The menu is written on the wall, you can watch your meal being prepared, and the pasta is prepared the way it should be: al dente with the proper amount of seasoning. Over the past 20 years we have probably tried everything on the menu and have never had a bad meal. If you are looking for fine dining, overcooked pasta or a chain restaurant atmosphere, then this is not the place for you. Pieros Pasta House is a hole in the wall, hidden gem with gourmet quality food.
