Pies & Pints is one of the restaurants located at The Greene. It's a pretty big place, kind of dark, but would probably be good for big groups. I'm not sure if it gets busy or not, but I would probably guess that it does. We went to Pies & Pints on a cold and snowy day, so the restaurant wasn't too full. There weren't even many people at The Greene. We were seated right away! If you want to be comfortable, I would recommend asking to sit in the booths or the tables near the front of the restaurant. Otherwise, the alternative is the tall stools at the back of the restaurant,(One side is a bench, the other is a stool) where your feet will be dangling and you're just sitting on an immovable stool. At least with the booth you can slide around. Anyway, our server was super nice and friendly! She was super thorough with the menu, and recommended the char grilled wings as the appetizer. Don't worry, you'd think it was spicy from the description on the menu, but it wasn't too spicy. And the gorgonzola sauce wasn't too bad. Not too gorgonzola-ish in case you didn't like blue cheese. The wings came out a little burnt, but it was delicious and moist. I like that it's a dry wing so that it isn't all soggy. If you want to try two kind of pizzas, they do half/half pizzas! But only if you order the large size. I got a large house pie, with white sauce, and added pork sausage, mushrooms, caramelized onion, and olives. The pizza came out great! There was a ton of garlic in the white pizza. Even whole chunks of garlic. I took some out. We couldn't finish the whole pizza so we took some home. It wasn't too bad reheated the next day. this place is located at an area called "the green" it is like a nice outdoor mall meets an fancy downtown hip and young hang out all mashed together with kids playing pens and live music on weekends. there is plenty of parking at this area and the fun around here is guaranteed. this bar has a wide selection of beers for literally ALL tastes even I who do not drink beer could find something I love to drink here ( Lambic!) I tasted a bunch of different beer like bottled drinks and it was pretty great. I had one of their pies, and the size if pretty perfect for one person, it is in truth enough to eat there and I even took half of it home -CHICKEN GOUDA - this is one of the favorite pizzas here and I cant blame the people who love it. it is indeed a pretty good pie. I am not a huge fan of chicken but the spicy chipotle mayo sauce tie the flavor together in a. very nice way. the thing I loved the most about this place was the staff, I was thee doing homework and I was at the bar, one thing that I truly appreciate about bar sitting is a bartender who does not bother you a lot. the bartender made sure I had what I needed and made sure I knew she was there for me, but she let me do my thing and I didn't feel rushed at all! it was great. Came in on a Friday at 6:30pm (during Coronavirus times) and seated immediately. Not many people put an about tonight. Service is what really sets this place apart. Our waiter was incredible. Very attentive, and anticipating needs before we even had to ask. I noticed other tables had similar service. Pizza here only took 10-15 min to come out, it was nice and crisp on the bottom, not super thick (but also not thin crust). We got pulled pork, roasted garlic, and spinach on our pizza pie. HIGHLY recommend the pulled pork. It was fabulous on a pizza. The roasted garlic is good, but it is in cloves, not minced or cut in any way. We would come back here again if at the Greene. read more

A year later and we have been to this location multiple times and have never left disappointed! I was especially impressed with our waitress last night Olivia. We both choose beers that has just run out and she took it upon herself to bring us several samples that she thought we might like based on what we ordered. Impressed me enough to flag down the manager to let him know how pleased I was. One time we went and the manager was not pleased with the size of the large pizza we ordered and sent us home with ab second one (for the record I had no problem with the first). In Dayton for a training course, and wanted to find a Yelp Cash Back restaurant to nosh dinner. Pies and Pints popped up on the search, and I felt like some pizza and beer. Dinnertime on a Monday, so there was a lot of room in the restaurant and the bar. Managed to order before Happy Hour ($1 off select beers, $2 select appetizers) with an order of their wings,, score! Got a small Classic pizza (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, banana peppers) too. Enjoyed everything - beer, pizza, and wings. Total was $42, a little on the pricey side. If you like snotty hostesses this is the place for you! We walked in and asked for a table for two and they put us WAY in the back of the restaurant. It was our mistake for not asking for a high top, but didn't realize it would piss our hostess off so much. As she turned around to walk us up to the front because "we had to go back up to see the main hostess" you could tell she was peeved. After she went "out of her way" to get us the high top I thanked her as she walked away without comment. That was enough for us to know we would get crappy service. I spoke to the manager who didn't like the use of my word pissiness. We ended walking around the corner to The Pub where we are now enjoying excellent service. read more

Pies & Pints is located at the Greene and is known for their specialty pizzas and wings. It's a little hipster which provides a different vibe in comparison to other restaurants in Dayton. It's a very casual dining experience but has craft beers on tap and delicious pizza pies. If you want to avoid the wait here, you could call ahead and place your name on the list. They'll ask you for your number and will text you when your table is ready. I love this because it's convenient and gives you a rough estimate of how much longer you could shop around at the Greene. I have frequented this restaurant a handful of times and rarely have been disappointed by the quality. For this visit, we ordered their wings and a large pizza (half Mozarella Caprese & half Chipotle Chicken). The wings came out first and is paired with a creamy Gorgonzola sauce. It is not your typical buffalo style wings where they are fried but rather Char-grilled. I really enjoyed eating them plain without the sauce but I could imagine that the Gorgonzola sauce pairs well because it can cool off the peppery taste of the wings. My go to whenever coming here has to be the Mozarella Caprese style pizza! It's so yummy and simple with the balsamic reduction glaze on top of the tomatoes and basil. I would highly recommend this one for sure! The Chipotle Chicken pizza was decent but the chicken was a little dry for my liking. Coming to Dayton for the first time, I wasn't sure where to go for pizza so I trusted Yelp and discovered this place. Yelp, as usual, got this one right! The wings were pretty good (4/5) but the pizza is where this place shines. They have two sizes, 10" and 16" (pro tip, if you get the 16" you can do half and half for pizza selection). I decided to do 1/2 Siracha Shrimp and 1/2 Chicken Gouda. Both had great flavor, but I really enjoyed the Chicken Gouda! Fresh ingredients and nice balance of ingredients. YUM - Great local beer selection and very good pizza. The crust is flavorful and well cooked. We had the chipotle chicken pizza and some bbq nachos. The pizza was really good, it surprised me. Hadn't realized I haven't reviewed Pies and Pints yet! This is definitely the best chain pizza around. They also have amazing wings, salad, and tasty looking sandwiches (haven't quite tried any sandwiches yet). The reason why I have to write this review is because my table reservation had one of the best servers I've ever had. I don't know what her name was, but she had shoulder length red/dark hair. She didn't miss a beat, from immediately greeting the table as we were all walking in, to quickly bringing drinks out, getting our orders in, constantly checking on us, continuously refilling drinks, etc... She did this all with great enthusaism and efficiency. I made a couple comments to the table about it - I was in awe... I was a waitress several years ago, but definitely wasn't as great as she was! (Hahah!) I feel like she'd be great at hosting events due to the great enthusiasm and energy she had in serving our table. (Inner thoughts) Seriously, why is someone like this a waitress? Anyway, great job to this server and to the kitchen for the awesome food. Old Scratch is still my favorite pizza place, but Pies and Pints isn't that far behind it. read more

The general consensus from the table was "Meh". Despite being seated nearly immediately. Lackluster service, wait or who 'forgot' to take orders from everyone on the table. And took 40 min for him to come back to the table after drinks. He had no clue what half the drinks on the menu were, or if they served soda. Pesto pizza needs more pesto.
