We've had pizza here a few times and thought it wasn't that bad, a nice change from Bruno's. Can't eat pizza at the same place forever. But the pizza we got last night was horrible! We ask for fresh mushrooms and we got canned ones, made the pizza taste like a tin can, and that's after I picked off all the mushrooms! This is the second time we have gotten canned after ordering fresh. Not sure if we will be back. Definitely won't ask for mushrooms anyway! read more

Stopped in here with some friends from out of town. Haven't been to Pietro's since I was a kid, and it was still on ocean beach with an arcade. We placed ordered one large all meat pizza from your typical stoned pizza boy. I ordered a beer, and two sodas for my com padres. The soda was served in a nice chilled beer mug, my beer was served in a slightly above room temp can. I probably could have asked for a mug, but thought it was very strange they didn't give me one. The pizza took a while, which is no biggie, until we bit into it. The crust was hard, not like over cooked hard, but like not properly risen dough hard, like forgot the baking soda in your pancakes hard. The toppings seemed good, but the crust just ruined it for me. We were so hungry from the long wait that we just ate it anyway instead of complaining and waiting another 45 minutes only to get served the same crap. I would like to think they had good pizza back in the day, but then again I was a kid and my taste buds had not fully developed yet nor was my list of pizza places to compare it to very big. I feel like it is hard to find a good meal in town. Everyone has just come to terms with everything being just meh that no one cares enough to put out a quality product. read more

I ordered a personal pizza for lunch and got the "Picasso" from the board. When it arrived it was covered with raw tomato slices which was the first turn off. The crust seemed hard and cracker like and the mushrooms underneath were canned unlike the other pizzas at our table which all had fresh mushrooms. It tasted just like a frozen pizza would. So I go to the counter to get a refund but was asked if I'd like another one, so I ordered the "Dr. Munchie" I had to get it to go since the others in my group had to leave due you our lunch half hour being up. I opened up the box to finish it in the car and it's 200% better than the first one! This pie had fresh mushrooms which really make a difference, good sauce and even a better crust. It seemed to be made with more care than the first I sent back. So, happy with my final mini pie but had to wait extra time to get it made right. read more

My wife and I have been going here for several years, at least once a week. We have always enjoyed the great pizza, super friendly staff, and weather-permitting lovely patio. However, the last couple of times the entire staff is gone, the pizza is way different - smaller size, factory style crust, and staff that doesn't recognize us anymore. Quality and craft are gone. We're taking a sabbatical. Hope for improvement. For now, caveat emptor. read more

I would say if you are trying to go for a sports bar with 10 TVs and a bar, drop the doo-wop music from 1950. It's awful and kills the atmosphere in here. This is the real deal! If you remember the NW pizza chain Pietro's, it all started right here in Longview. In this very building. I understand the store is run by the three sons of the original owner (hence "trio's"). This was the first pizza joint in this town; the original. The pizza is as it always was, thin and crisp . None of that thick and gooey crust for me. I'm not sure why the sad reviews, the food is just as I remember it as a kid, and I've had nothing but good experiences here in the years since they've reopened. My Mother was raised in this town, her first pizza ever was here. She agrees it is as good as ever. Gone is the "Gay 90s" decor , but the food is the same. We would normally get the combo, but when I was young I like the Canadian bacon and tomato. And I don't like my tomatoes cooked, gross! Try the buffet lunch which includes salad bar and drink. They get an extra star from me just for the nostalgia. read more

This was my first time going to this pizza place, since it has "re-opened." First of all, I called and asked the size difference b/t the large and giant, I am thinking the girl was new (hoping!) bc she said "Uh, well, the giant is bigger than the large." I asked if she could tell me in inches, and she said "Uh, lemme ask." Then came back with "Well they're both 12 slices, but one is just bigger than the other." She did eventually find out the sizes in inches for me. With that said, I ordered the 18" and PAID for and 18" but our pizza was actually 15". Not to mention the two random slices of uncooked bell pepper just haphazardly thrown onto the pizza. I don't think we'll be going here again, ever! I had the Popeye (spinach, feta, sundried tomatoes and black olives) and a diet Pepsi. Ray had some kind of pepperoni, mushroom and sausage thing. First, the pizza: Delicious. Thin, crispy crust with a really nice mix of ingredients (for me). Ray's mushrooms looked canned. And another table got a pie with raw tomatoes on it (see Kris' review) it peeled off. This is such a southwest Washington thing, the uncooked tomatoes on pizza, and I totally do not get it. It's just gross and wrong. The pepperoni was not nearly as awesome as Bruno's, but Bruno's does not have the same veg options as Pie@trio's. Choose wisely. The soda: They have a lot of different beers, and this would probably be the way to go (for dinner, I was having lunch). The soda was okay. They also offer some fancy schmancy sodas. The atmosphere: Dark, and there are like seven large flat-screen TVs around the walls, which is a little overwhelming if you just want to eat and you're next to the wall and this huge screen is flashing in your eyes. If it had better lighting and less Pokemon-disease making potential, it would be quite attractive. The music was random and didn't cover up the loud kitchen noises. The service: Great. The pizza came out quick. But since you order it at a counter and there weren't many customers we didn't really put them to the test. I'd say your best bet is to go in for dinner, when they may turn lights on, get beer with your pizza and go for something a little more chi-chi than not. read more

Thoroughly disappointed. First, the kid behind the counter was not helpful at all - seemed almost bothered that we were there. Second, the biggest shock was there were about 10 big screen TVs around the room - which is an incredible distraction for families with young kids. In addition, music was playing overhead and the noise from the less than full restaurant was deafening. It was very difficult to have a nice family night out with the noise and the TVs. Pietro's isn't what it used to be, but it's the closest thing in Longview to the pizza of yore. Some of my favorites are still there like the Barmaid Special and the Taco pizza. The crust is still cornmeal crunchy and the pepperoni is still curly and super oily. Solid Longview-style pizza - for some reason, every place in this town likes to put whole cold, sliced tomatoes on top of their pizzas, which I think is sort of icky. But all of the places here in town do it, so whatever. Crust is better than Papa Pete's, but neither of them have much flavor in the pizzas. A little more cheese here than Papa Pete's, and better quality veggies than Bruno's. Salad bar didn't look too tasty. They have a $7.50 buffet lunch if you're looking for cheap eats. read more

Tonight, we dined at PieTrio's in Longview. Due to State Covid-19 guidelines, they offer tent dining outdoors with fire pits and patio heaters. There is also seating inside with distancing between the tables. Hubby and I shared a giant-size Meat Lover Powerhouse Pizza (taking half of this huge pie home). It comes with 5 meat toppings on their signature thin crust. I usually prefer a medium-thick crust, but the quality toppings more than made up for it. I was told they also serve a medium-size gluten-free cauliflower crust with your favorite toppings; Good to know! Also, good to know is that they work with Door Dash delivery (DD's website says free delivery, but I'd call DD to verify that). We were lucky to chat with one of PieTrio's partners who runs this Longview landmark. He gave us a little background on PieTrio's history, and a peek into a fun future they plan if they can get thru this Covid winter. We definitely see more PieTrio's in our dinner plans from now on. read more

My grandma used to take me to this restaurant back when it was Pietro's and I always loved the pizza back then. Recently my wife and I ordered a large pizza half pepperoni and half all meat, we loved it. I don't like dry pizza, the pizza had just the right amount of sauce, and the crust was as good as I remembered years ago. Once upon a time, there was a pizza parlor called Pietro's. It was in the same building as Pie@tro's. In fact, the decor was really quite similar to Pie@tro's minus a few modern amenities such as flat screens, soda fountain service, etc. It offered fantastic pizza...equivalent to Bruno's. Kids and adults everywhere in Longview and surrounding cities would gather there after sporting events, or just for dates and get togethers. It was wildly popular. Then,..rumor has it... Campbell soup conglomerate came in and made an offer the owners could not refuse...then proceeded to run it into the ground. Pietro's as we knew it...died. At the same time, Bruno's opened up and became very popular, as it had the ever so popular quality that the original Pietro's once had. Bruno's became even more popular after an employee, Sharry Konopski, became Playboy's Playmate of the month for August 1987... Centerfold gold!. (tune of Centerfold..j Geil's) The girl's been told Her looks and booty's just hit gold This Pizza girl's the centerfold Pizza girl's the centerfold. Yes, pizza sales went through the roof for Bruno's. The newly acquired Pietro's tanked. After a few years, Pie@tro's came to be. I believe the rights to the name of Pietro's was sold to Campbell Soup, so it could not be used...ergo.. Pie@tro's.. (Pie- at- rose). I've dined there. It's not bad pizza. The sauce is tasty...crust is crispy...and like Bruno's the toppings go all the way to the edge. Bruno's has better pepperoni...Pie@tro's pepperoni is big and floppy...not crispy and small like Bruno's. Also, Pie@tro's uses canned mushrooms... (shame shame shame)... The prices are comparable to Brunos...for what I consider a "lesser" pizza. It's okay...I would eat here if friends wanted to come here, but it's not my first choice. Clearly I have been doing a pretty close comparison to Bruno's and that is because when I was growing up here, it was the only two comparable games in town...kinda like Pat's or Geno's in Philly. You're either one or the other. In my opinion, the chain pizza places can't even compare or touch these two places. It's like comparing clothes from Sears to clothes from Saks... it just isn't a level playing field. The verdict? Pie@tros is a mere shadow of Pietro's of long ago...and is still running a close second to what I consider the reigning...and most expensive pizza place in town.. What's your vote? read more

In town visiting family and went here to get some pizza for dinner one night. The pizza was not very good at all. The crust was cooked ok but could have been crispier. There was barely any sauce and the cheese was cooked to the point where it was just melted but not fully melted and bubbly. And the prices are absolutely ridiculous even if the pizza was good. Really $20 for a large pepperoni when most places that is only about $12 and this one should have been only about $10 with the quality. And the specialty pizza we got was almost $30. Never going back to this place when we are in town. read more

Pizza is great here! We got a giant half combo/half pepperoni and pineapple to go. It was fabulous. The pizza tasted just like I remember the old Pietro's Pizza tasting. I don't understand the extra "box charge" for a to-go pizza though. It was only 50 cents, but, really?? Charge me extra to get food to go? That is extremely annoying to me. The pizza itself isn't cheap either. Our pizza was $31. That was just the pizza (and the box). We will be back because the pizza is excellent, but will definitely keep the cost and extra charges in mind before deciding on our next visit. read more

This is the pizza of my youth. I was very happy to see it open again a couple years ago. Best pizza in town. My favorite has been and will always be their Taco pizza, try it out you will not be disappointed. There pepperoni is also excellent. Friendly counter service. Pizza crust is nice and crispy. They have LOTS of TVs for watching whatever the current sports game is, and a cute outdoor seating area with fire pits. The fire pits and exterior are what drew me in. But the inside is gloomy and run-down, the pizza doesn't taste that great and the salad bar is a sad afterthought. I know, "it's Longview," what more should I expect? But there are at least two other superior-tasting pizzas in town (Vernie's, Papa Pete's), a number of more appropriately-lit sports bar venues, and even the salad bar at Sizzler is quite a few steps up. I think the place has potential, but I won't be giving it another try for some time. read more

Customer service sucks! Used to be my favorite pizza place, but not anymore. After standing in line for sometime with absolutely no acknowledgement from anyone we walked out. While I realize you're busy, at least acknowledge the fact I'm standing there and let me know you'll be with me soon. Ignoring the people in line had us walking out because you obviously do not need my business. As others have said, when you have a lunch buffet, at least have the food available for people. I worked at this restaurant some 20 years ago and a delivery driver. I was happy to be taken back with the same taste I so clearly remember. Thanks for not changing. Also staff quite pleasent. Always has been. Giving the place a possitive charged energy. I would go so far as to say that this place has a secret weapon a beacon of light among them someone saturating and influencing the entire building with actively giving energy. Grace. And it's my delusional that everyone reading this is aware that possitive thoughts and feelings around the preparation of foods especially water you will consume is extremely important And are felt by every part of you. Those things are proven. I have to mention I felt better and less restless then when I arrived I noticed the effects on my companions and clearly see same was true of them.
