Brisket nachos. I felt like this could've been better for $14. It's just chips w/ cheese, chunks of brisket, and candied jalapenos on top.

Pig Candy is always a great spot to go to if your craving BBQ. The food is pretty good and love the location here. This location had a pretty chill vibe. Felt like I was at a backyard get together with the family. Service was pretty quick. The only thing I didn't like was how you have to pay upfront and of course they ask you to tip. Why would you tip if you don't know what the food and service is like (for those who are new to this place). Both locations are the same. Matter of fact I think all BBQ places here in Cincinatti are like that. It's still a great place to eat! Come check it out.

A nice laidback spot if you're in the mood for BBQ! I had heard good things about Pig Candy, but never tried it. It is 100% worth it. The menu is small, but has multiple options. The service was great and the staff were always around to check in. If you're a BBQ lover, make this a spot next time you go out.

We arrived at Pig Candy BBQ around Noon. We lucked out because we walked right up to the counter and ordered. The place filled up as soon as we sat down to wait for our food. People were lined up into the seating area. There is plenty of seating so I think anyone can find a seat at lunch time, but it is very popular and busy. And for good reason. The person at the counter couldn't have been more patient and kind. They were very helpful and I'm glad we weren't rushed by a crush of people behind us so we had time to acclimate since it was our first visit. When it did get busy, a second person helped take orders. She also checked in with customers to make sure everything was as great as expected. I liked the food delivery process. Someone comes out from the kitchen area with food and calls the name, then brings the food to the table. It seems like a personal connection to where the food is prepared. I like it. We both ordered the Brisket Grilled Cheese Brisket Grilled Cheese (American & Jack Cheeses on Texas Toast with Red BBQ sauce on the side). Red BBQ sauce is Traditional BBQ (Sweet, Sour, Smoke). All the different sauces are described on the menu. I ordered Mac N Cheese and Mark ordered Cowboy Beans as sides. The sandwich was very good and the sauce was perfect for dipping. It was a sweet, tangy sauce that went well with the brisket, cheese and thick, Texas style bread. The bread was "butter toasted" and was crunchy and stood up to the sandwich fillings. There were a few fatty bites, but overall the meat was tender and tasty. There is a lot to choose from on the menu, but I would order this again. The Mac N Cheese was bland, but Mark said the Cowboy Beans were delicious. I do wish we lived closer. We would definitely return. We may try the Kellogg Ave. location, which is closer to home, next.

This BBQ spot is a great addition to Loveland. Their original location is tougher to get to so this is a great option for those in the northern Cincinnati suburbs. The ambiance is really cool and I love how the renovated an old church, keeping aot of the architectural elements while adding their own touch. The food is incredible, with smoked BBQ meats on sites, classic homey sides, and even Sunday brunch. Follow their socials too for daily specials like ribs and brisket grilled cheese. Service is already fast and friendly, but you can order online if you're really in a time crunch.

Love me some excellent bbq and this fit the bill. First off it's in a cool old church and the ambiance is fantastic. The food - chefs kiss. The white sauce is insanely good. The turkey and brisket are both phenomenal. The Mac and cheese was creamy and smooth. The beans were excellent. All around perfect place that hit the spot. Service was friendly too. When I'm back in area I'm coming back to try more.

Stopped in to check it out because I haven't hit it since they opened. I went with the pulled pork sandwich with a side of green beans with a side of mac & cheese. The green beans & the mac & cheese were amazing! The sandwich, however, was a little on the dry side for my liking. It had bark & was tough to the chew.

Love this place.... It's their second location found very close to the bike trail. Very good brisket and cheeses grits. Well worth the visit for their finely smoked meats and sides. Parking on site.

BBQ was very tasty! Fresh ingredients and helpful staff, very interesting location inside of an old church... Only complaint is that it was a bit pricey but definitely will return at some point!

Turkey sandwich was the best, brisket sandwich was a little dry, and so were the sides.

Today, we exercised a bit more self control. My hubby and I visit weekly. We get 2 slices, different flavors. We plan to try them all. There are so many flavors!! The cheesecake is divine!! Haven't had a flavor we have not loved. A couple I HIGHLY recommend are the blueberry crumble and the lemon supreme. If you are more of a rich, decadent flavor... the chocolate crunch and the peanut butter cup. Wednesday is buy one slice, get the second 50% off.

While the space itself isn't large, they had an impressive selection of cookies, cakes, and cheesecakes for a Wednesday afternoon--plenty to tempt you the moment you walk in. I went straight for the bourbon caramel swirl cheesecake, and that's when things got even better. The girl behind the counter casually mentioned they use Weller's bourbon . Even better? She proudly said she gets to eat whichever flavor she wants. I joked that sounded like a great perk--she laughed and revealed she's actually the daughter of the owners. Loved that little personal touch. My wife is more of a traditionalist and chose the original cheesecake with caramel swirl. She said it was incredibly creamy and very good. Mine was just as creamy, with a noticeable punch of bourbon flavor balanced perfectly by the caramel, and finished with a crispy, satisfying crust. Bottom line: definitely good, definitely delicious. This is the kind of place that makes you plan your next visit before you've even finished your slice. I would absolutely return for another piece (or two) Unfortunately, I ate my cheesecake but I snap a photo. I couldn't wait! lol!

BEST GLUTEN-FREE DONUTS!!…read more I just had their gluten-free pumpkin donut and it was SO good!! I also grabbed some for my family, and they didn't even realize they were gluten-free -- that's how you know they're good! Everyone was so nice, and the shop itself is super cute and has such a cool vibe. I will definitely be back!!

Hurts Donuts will hurt: your wallet, your belief in what a GF doughnut could be, and your body…read more First, the good. They taste amazing! I am not a big donut person, but the GF donuts DO NOT taste gluten free at all! They also taste fresh, just a step below having a warm, just made donut (which is the only way to have one IMO). The pumpkin drizzle (idk why drizzle, there was no drizzle on it) has a classic cider mill doughnut flavor. I would not describe it as pumpkin flavored. Now, the reasons why I'll never return. 1. The price! $4 for a single GF donut? That's bonkers! I was going to pay cash, but I couldn't even afford 1 donut with the cash I had on hand. 2. The toppings overwhelm/mask the flavor of the donut, which is a shame and a waste. The pumpkin caramel drizzle was overpowered by the caramel, and it was so sweet, that I couldn't consume the entire donut. That is saying something, given how much they cost! 3. Your gut/body will be in rebellion. IDK what the ingredients are in the GF donut, but I immediately bloated, and my body reacted as if I consumed a product with sugar alcohol (IYKYK). These ill effects lasted the rest of the day, and carried over to the next day. Flavor: 5 stars. Everything else...could be better. So, if you roll up to Hurts Donuts, win the lottery beforehand, go for the plain "drizzle" donuts, as they have the best flavor, and be prepared that your body (and wallet) may not thank you after.
